Some films make sense and have a purpose, like making one laugh or something we can learn that is within the narrative of film, even if it is a commodity. This film does neither. It is cringing, and basically stupid. Nor does it hold one's attention. It is pointless rubbish.
It's the strangest film I've ever seen. It's more like Juicy Lucy , a sexy astronaut, in a sky of sexual Adventures and cheap Bowling alleys.
The main character is portrayed by an actress who always reminds me of someone who is very bored. I don't know where she learned to act, but I consider her perhaps the worst actress ever to become relatively famous. That's not my only gripe though. It's just an opinion. She might improve but with a face like that, it's unlikely. Maybe she ought to come to London and learn from the master himself Michael at Instinctual Acting?
The story makes little sense. I was about as bored by the movie - with its slow pace and senselessness - as watching one of those long winded Italian art films.
A good film director moves rapidly along - each scene needs a purpose. If it has no purpose exclude it. This film had so many pointless scenes that one could have told the entire story in 20 minutes. In fact let me say I could edit this film into 20 minutes and it would still be an incoherent set of ideas, but at least the audience wouldn't feel like taking themselves out for a long walk.
The sex scenes are pointless. They could have cut them out and the film would have remained as dull as it is. However, let's assume that this was the rampant adventures of Miss Juicy Lucy rather than an astronaut, and the whole point was the sex and the affair, then I suppose they were there for a purpose. The purpose though seemed to be as pointless as the movie. We all know the world is very small. Having affairs is not going to change it. Just an excuse for this actress to show off what she's got and hasn't got. LOL.
I tend to be okay with most films, but this one, I suggest is not worth 5 minutes of time on earth.
