Plot summary is how a person tries to prove death sentence is not a proper way to punish criminals , and finally he only gets death sentence and how he proves his innocence
The plot starts in Bangalore while Rajkumar is giving a talk in a college where he studied earlier on the subject to abolish giving death sentence to criminals . He wants as journalist and joins a newspaper agency Akhanda Karnataka as an editor to follow his dreams even though he is over qualified for that position . Some plots are made showing his truth,justice and also his views on role of newspaper in the development of the society.

Newspaper agency owner's daughter (Bharati) falls in love with Rajkumar. And he agrees for her proposal and they get engaged.

He has a friend(Rajesh), they both make a plot so that Rajkumar himself implants as murderer of bar dancer. They both only know that Rajkumar is not a original murderer which is the truth and they make an agreement which tells all these are fake and Rajesh should give wrong information to Police which implies Rajkumar is a murderer, after he gets death sentence then he can prove how innocents may be victims of death sentence. Rajkumar searches for murderer of the bar dancer and founds out bar dancer's sister who lives in Darjeeling may be a way to find out the original murderer. After she is taken from Darjeeling to Bangalore , she is mysteriously killed and the which makes Rajkumar a murderer even though he doesn't kill her.So he will be given death sentence for that murder.

On the other side Rajkumar's father(Ashwath) who is very innocent is charged for murder of head of the village who is a bad guy under whom he works. Eventually his father also gets death sentence. So the only way out for him is to prove that he is innocent is the agreement which is kept safe . His friend while trying to bring the agreement which is stored in a safe place dies in an car accident.

The climax is how Bharati tries to bring an another original copy of agreement and proves his innocence and the revealing of the original murderer. He also proves his father is innocent by finding the real murderer of head of the village
