Les oreilles sur le dos
(2002)

Perhaps the worst French movie I ever seen in my life.
'Les oreilles sur le dos' has a script who was probably written by a feeble-minded 7 years old boy. The far-fetched story about a bunch of art thieves fugitives crossing the desert and Venezuelan jungle is really bad. Only beautiful Beatrice Dalle, the same of Betty Blue 37° (1986) tried to do a good performance. I can't understand how a supposedly intelligent crew of Europeans movie makers went to Guyana and Venezuela to waste their time, money and talent.

Les femmes et les enfants d'abord
(1995)

Refreshing and amusing French comedy.
Rose García Del Pozo 35, is a Parisian housewife unhappily married with Didier 40. The couple has three children: Marine 14, Thibault 10 and a 3 year old girl. Rose is the daughter of a Spaniard immigrant. Starting the summer Didier tells his wife that he is sick and tire of their relation and decided to rent a small apartment to live alone. Displeased she takes her kids and go to the same place at the beach, where the family used to rest during the last 15 years. Bored, Rose decides to leave the beach and go to Spain in order to know her roots. In Cadiz she meets Pedro, a young gypsy. Both fall in love. After a happy and joyful relation she returns to Paris. There, Marine visits her father and discovers that Didier has a lover, a man named Paul. Rose hasn't enough money to paid the debts. An old friend suggests her to start painting because she was an excellent student at The School of Fine Arts. Meanwhile, the mature and intelligent Thibault writes a postcard to Pedro inviting him to come to Paris. Rose takes a job at Gerbaud's Art Gallery and now she has a good plan to solve her troubles...

Le plus beau pays du monde
(1999)

How the worst of the human beings appears during hard times.
The feature film tell us the grim story of the French actor Robert Hughes-Lambert during the Second World War in Paris. It is sad to contemplate how he was selected by the Nazi followers for the roll of pilot hero Jean Mermoz (1901-36) taking into consideration only his pseudo-Aryan physical characteristics. The deformation of Mermoz life by the official censorship and the inhuman treatment that Lambert received for all the people around him, made me sick. I CONCLUDED THAT THE WORST OF THE HUMAN BEINGS APPEAR DURING HARD TIMES.
