Watchmen
(2019)

Hollywood perpetuating identity politics.
Hollywood is alive and well, well, the race baiting part of it is. This series was horrendously rewritten just to make a point that blacks had it rough over a hundred years ago. Something we all already know and we all know how terrible things went down for them. The thing is, Hollywood keeps bringing it up. What will that do? I'll tell you what it WON'T do, it won't do anything to promote racial harmony among races in America. In fact, all it does is piss off the ones who already have racial anger issues even more. Another issue I have with this show is that they always have to make a major or supporting character gay.

In the show a black crime fighter meets another crime fighter who seems to just show up at his table one night talking to him and his wife. He pitches the idea that they should work together, low and behold, the next thing you know, they're gay lovers. Not good for young children to see if they happen to be around. Look, I don't care who has sex with whom or who you love. Please, just stop pushing it in my face with every single show on tv nowadays ! They wouldn't like it if there was a Christian preacher in every single tv show nowadays.

The series wasn't Just poorly written, but it did bring up a few things that were in the novel. The motion picture changed a few things, but this series had potential if you can get past Hollywood's identity politics !

Dune
(2021)

Beautiful scenes, special effects are great and acting is superb, but it was lacking in story.
Every actor was on point, great cast ! As I said, the special effects were beautiful and grand and you can tell they took their time working on this. The cinematography is also very elegant. The only thing I have disparaging to say is there wasn't much backstory told to put things together and there definitely wasn't much of a detailed plot. Yes, it did have a story to it, but I'd like to know more about the five Ws, (who, what, when, where and why). Also, I would've like to known more about his mom's backstory and even his father's because it would've given me more insight to why the son was having visions and why he can use a weird voice to bend other people's will. ! I don't like cliffhangers and this was definitely a cliffhanger. Having said that, it was a decent movie and I'm looking forward to watching part two.

Legion
(2017)

Who in their right mind gave this crap positive reviews?
I watched the whole first season, mainly because I was waiting for something to happen, something that never really did. I figured that I had invested the time, so why not just finish out the season. Ok, season 2 rolls around and before it airs, I'm thinking the whole time, "gee, I hope this season isn't a bunch of psychobabble, where the characters are always in some stupid dreamland looking lost because the writers took to much acid." It wasn't ! It was ten times worse !

I mean, there are scenes in this season that are so stupid and ridiculous it's like the writers got together and said to each other, "whoever writes the weirdest piece of crap scene gets to sleep with my girlfriend." I'm being vague because I don't want to add a spoiler tag, but let's just say, every negative review you read on here is the truth. I have no idea how a show about mutants gets this far when they never use their powers!!! That's one of my biggest complaints with certain mutant movies, mutants that don't wanna be or mutants that hate themselves. Ugh... I'm done.
