Refreshing New Series
This series has been really good so far in that it is decently clean without all the sexual drama played out in other television series such as in "Tutors". I find this very refreshing!! It has intrigue, action, romance & good actors.

Adelaide Kane as Mary, Queen of Scots along with Toby Regbo as Prince Francis and Megan Follows as Queen Catherine are really good in their roles. Tonight's show introduced the upcoming king of Portugal that is very interested in Mary...humm. The shows worth watching just to get an eyeful of Torrance Coombs as Bash! I'm ready for many more episodes to come!!

After.Life
(2009)

Sick Movie
This movie is beyond Horror...this is just sick! I apparently did not read enough about the movie before viewing it. The writers must have been on drugs writing this!! Imagine if you were dying of cancer or some other disorder and seeing this garbage!! Very disappointed in Liam Neeson for being a part of this.

If the writers wanted to put fear into someone, I guess they did their job! This is just twisted! I will never understand why people like horror movies anyway. We all deal with mental issues at times and we don't need any more added to the list! I lost a daughter in a car wreck years ago and that is always on my heart and I just could not take this sick movie.

Lincoln
(2012)

Okay Movie
I was so excited when I heard this movie was soon to be released but was disappointed when I watched it in the Theatre. While the authentic aspects of the movie were very good, I found it to be long and boring. Only action was the spat between Lincoln and his wife. Talk...talk...talk...it was about as exciting as watching Congress argue! I guess the movie's intention was to show just the man, Lincoln, but I was looking for a great Civil War story with it. I did enjoy Sally Field's role as Mrs. Lincoln and I think Daniel-Day-Lewis, as Lincoln, was okay. So if the movie had more of a story to it, it could have been great!

Looking back at other movies about Lincoln, the best role for Lincoln was when Gregory Peck played Abe in "The Blue and The Gray". Now THAT'S a great Civil War movie!

Enough
(2002)

Great Movie!
Oh yeah! Finally! A movie about an abused wife who takes SMART action in dealing with her abusive, stalking husband. I was expecting the usual movie of a beaten, scared, victim here but got a courageous desperate woman instead!

I don't understand some of the comments about this movie. ***************Spoiler*********Warning****************** Some commented that she shouldn't have taken the action that she did. After talking with an attorney, she found out there was nothing she could do legally through the courts. What else could she do? The only thing she could do! Get trained to defend herself and have it out with him...it was self-defense!!! Why are women supposed to just stay the victim and live the rest of their lives in fear?! Her husband was a jerk and thought he could have his cake and eat it too!

Great job Jennifer Lopez! I was so into this toward the end, that I probably looked like a guy watching the super bowl when his team is winning! You go girl!

The Soul Collector
(1999)

Awesome!!!
This movie fits right in there with my top 10! What's up with the comments from suesis? Are you kidding?! The chemistry between Bruce Greenwood and Melissa Gilbert completely steamed up my television! In fact, I wondered if there wasn't a behind-the-scenes romance going on between them! Also, about Bruce's acting...I thought it was very good and fitting. I mean, imagine if you were an angel sent down to Earth in human form as he was with all the five senses. Remember his reaction to the coffee? His reactions and acting I thought was appropriate and great! Loved the story and ending! I know it's only fiction but WOW what a love story! Personal note: I lost a 21-year-old daughter in an auto accident in 1996. After the accident I kept crying and telling God, "If I could just see her again. Just one more time." Two years later I had a dream and she appeared to me and looked just like they did in the movie. All-glowing just like they did in this movie and the love I felt coming from her was absolutely out of this world!!! Was it a dream or a vision?!

Time Changer
(2002)

Good movie!
I appreciated this movie very much because the message of the movie cries out to our country. The moral decline in America is very alarming! We need to get back to the basics of the Bible that this country was founded on. We have terrorist attacks, children killing children, parents, and parents killing their own children, etc.

When disaster happens people ask, "Where was God?" or "Why would God let this happen?" We can only look back to ourselves to answer that question. In our actions we have told God, "We don't need you." We took prayer out of school and have allowed so many immoral practices to take place in our lives.

I pray this movie will be a wake-up call to all of us...and I'm including myself as a born-again Christian! God help us!

The Passion of the Christ
(2004)

Extraordinary Film!
After just seeing this movie a few hours ago I still struggle to express all that I am feeling. When the film was over there was such silence in the theater. You could still hear people crying. It was quite an experience! I have never been one to go see very violent movies but I knew I had to see this one. I think if you go in knowing that the film will be brutally violent then you can prepare yourself to withstand it...I did!

It's hard to comprehend that the Romans were so barbaric, but they were. Remember in history of how some of the Christians were thrown into the lions den? What an awful sight that would have been to witness as well as the crucifixions!

As a Christian, it is important that we all know what Jesus really went through and this film portrays that in raw reality! Jesus the Christ took upon Himself the pain and agony FOR US! He took our punishment for us! He paid the price with his blood!

I think the film would have been even more wonderful if the resurrection had been portrayed in more detail. It was too brief. Jesus rose from the dead! His physical resurrected body, nail-prints and all! We could have seen the joy on Mary's face as she sees her son alive again!

God bless Mel Gibson, James Caviezel and all the others who had a role in making this film! This is a masterpiece! Absolutely 10/10

Love Comes Softly
(2003)

Wonderful Movie! (Now read the Book!)
I was really looking forward to seeing this movie since I have read the book...twice! I love Janette Oke novels! The "Love Comes Softly" novel is part of a series, so you can continue on with Missie's life, etc.

Sometimes a movie just doesn't do justice to the book, but this one does!!! I was not disappointed at all! The heartbreak and grief that losing a loved one brings is revealed very well in this film. Best of all, the film shows how sometimes a marriage of convenience or out of necessity can be a real blessing. It teaches all of us who live in this day and age that love does not always start off with bursting fireworks or burning passion. As the film portrays...sometimes love just comes softly. :)

To the actors Dale Midkiff, Katherine Heigl, Skye McCole Bartusiak and to Director/Producer Michael Landon, Jr... Great job!!! 10/10

Straight from the Heart
(2003)

Nice Romantic Drama
Seen this movie tonight on the Hallmark Channel and really enjoyed it. This is a charming movie to watch on Valentine's Day!

It was good to see Andrew McCarthy in another serious roll. He's done so many comedy films in his career and he is funny to watch, no doubt. I love horses and photography so I found myself wishing I were there at that Ranch playing Teri Polo's role!!!

9/10. I would give it a 10/10 except the film ended too soon. They could have added a little more romance and perhaps a wedding! :)

Everything to Gain
(1996)

One of my Favorite Movies!
Unlike some of the comments I've read, I believe this movie is VERY REALISTIC! In fact, it's just like life. The way life is always throwing you a curve! Like when a horrible tragedy happens, then in time, along comes something beautiful to touch your life and make you alive again.

I know about tragedy. I lost a 21-year-old daughter in an auto accident. In the film, Mallory (Sean Young), portrays the pain and mourning so well!!! You don't feel like you can go on. You wake up each morning and pray that it was all a horrible nightmare.

Okay, maybe the film WAS unrealistic in one aspect. Where Detective DeMarco (Jack Scalia) allows Mallory to come along with him for the interrogation and arrest, but that's minor to me.

Jack Scalia and Sean Young were very believable. The love they portrayed came across as very genuine.

The moral of the story? What's that saying?..."When God closes a door He always opens a window." A definite 10/10 in my book! :)

Remember the Titans
(2000)

Outstanding Film!
I don't get it! Some of these negative comments!!! This is a GREAT movie!!! This movie could put prejudiced attitudes to an end if people would just let it. I am not African-American and although my skin is very pale, I have Native-American in my blood. One message comes through loud and clear in this film...no matter what the color of your skin is...people are people! Loved Denzel Washington & Will Patton in this!!!

Silverado
(1985)

Great Entertainment!
This is 2004 and this is the first time I have seen this movie!!! This is a great movie! My husband and I love westerns and this rates at the top with the best. Kevin Costner is so cute in this!!! I throughly enjoyed the characters of Kevin Kline, Danny Glover and Scott Glenn together with Costner. I didn't even realize until the end of the movie that Jeff Fahey was in it...I didn't recognize him until I saw his name in the credits!

If you love westerns you've got to see this one!

The Cutting Edge
(1992)

Very enjoyable movie!
This movie gave me lots of laughs and the skating was great especially the final skating the two of them did. In the beginning I almost turned the movie off as Kelly's character (Kate) was such a spoiled brat but I decided to hang in there and it's really sweet when she finally gets an attitude adjustment. I throughly enjoyed watching Sweeney's character (Doug Dorsey). They were really cute together in the end. Now this is the third or fourth time I've seen this film and I enjoy it every time. 10/10

A Walk to Remember
(2002)

Wonderful movie!
My daughter had just seen this movie on video and she brought it over insisting that I watch it because I would love it...and she was right!

Mandy Moore's voice is beautiful! She and Shane West's performances are so real that you almost believe it to be their own true story. It COULD be a true story. You never know what life is going to bring your way!

If you haven't seen this movie, rent the video and see it! I only wish I could have seen it in the movie theater instead of on video at home! A definite 10/10.

Morning Glory
(1993)

Good movie
Enjoyable movie although I think it had the potential to be even better if it had more depth to it. It is a mystery halfway through the film as to knowing why Elly is such a recluse. Then, when we are finally given an explanation going back to her childhood there still isn't much detail. Perhaps had they shown flashbacks or something.

Anyway, it is still a good movie that I'd watch again. 7/10

Romance on the Orient Express
(1985)

Lovely Romantic movie!
Beautiful story and scenery! Great chemistry between Alex (Stuart Wilson) and Lily (Cheryl Ladd). Alex looks so pitifully sweet toward the last scene of the movie! I loved that! If the story hadn't ended the way it did, I would have been UPSET!!! This is one of my favorites for romantic movies. 10/10

Joshua
(2002)

Awesome movie!
This is on the top of the list of my favorite Christian films! It is so amazing to watch Tony Goldwyn in this role compared to his role in "Ghost"!

This is a wonderful movie that the whole family can watch and learn from, whether you are Christian or Non-Christian.

Contrary to some of the comments including the plot line; I never thought that this movie was about Christ's return when I was watching it. But how it might be if Jesus came back secretly to visit and show us how to live an love. Great acting,Tony! 10/10

Just a thought: The Bible says for us to not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

The Birds II: Land's End
(1994)

Very disappointing
I watched this movie tonight on ABC Family channel. I thought that the television station cut off the ending of the movie until I read some of the comments on this database and realized it actually ends that way. What a disappointment! I only decided to watch it because Brad Johnson was in it. I'll give it a 2/10 instead of a 1/10 since BJ was in it!

Pay It Forward
(2000)

Excellent movie!
Great acting by all! Loved Helen Hunt, Kevin Spacey & Haley Joel Osment. Don't miss the wonderful scenes with James Caviezel also.

No, you probably won't like the ending but it is so much like real life. Our days are filled with the ups and downs of life. In love, there is always risk, but it is well worth the risk!

What if we all decided to "PAY IT FORWARD"? A definite 10/10.

Mrs. Winterbourne
(1996)

Fantastic romantic comedy!
Contrary to several comments, I throughly enjoyed this movie! Shirley MacLaine does an outstanding performance. The man playing "Paco" was very enjoyable to watch also.

Ricki Lake's acting was very good and believable (even though the times are modern, they're ARE SOME innocent young women still out there!).

Oh, and Brendan Frasier!!! He is so adorable in this movie! Especially the tango scene. I don't know how to tango but this scene is sooooooo romantic that I think I need to learn!

I have to agree however with the comments from "Wherever-in Arizona" about how quickly Bill's (Brendan Frasier) character changes personality so quickly from this dry, cool and questioning guy to a fun-loving passionate guy. Yet, who cares, this is a romantic comedy!!! Great job Richard Benjamin.

Signs
(2002)

Somewhat Disappointing
I did not watch this movie because I love SCARY movies. I could care less about "SCARY" movies. I watched this hoping that it would be a great extra-terrestrial story. It wasn't. Why do aliens almost always have to be UGLY and ready to KILL or EAT you??? Where do we get it that aliens must be some horrible dreadful being? The only "good alien" I've seen in the movies is "E.T.-The Extra-Terrestrial" and that was more of a comedy and not a real serious story about aliens.

Due to all the television and movie hype, keeping us scared to death of aliens, if we ever were face to face with them, we would kill them all before finding out if they're friend or foe!

One of the things I did like about the film was that Graham Hess (Gibson) lost his faith after his wife died and at the end of the film his faith is restored. Also the movie IS quite different than most movies on this subject.

Two Weeks Notice
(2002)

Light-hearted romantic comedy!
Lighten up people! This movie has some great comical situations and it is so refreshing to see a good movie WITHOUT ALL THE VULGAR LANGUAGE! Take notice, Hollywood, you can make a good movie without all the vulgar language!

Tears in the Rain
(1988)

Wonderful movie!
Contrary to most of the other comments, I found this movie wonderfully romantic and believable. Christopher Cazenove and Sharon Stone had great chemistry together. If you like romantic dramas like I do, you should see this film!

The Man in the Moon
(1991)

Very good movie
As I watched this movie I began to feel very nostalgic. As a child growing up in a rural area I felt as if I was a kid again! The swimming pond (it's called a "tank" in Central Texas), the running through the countryside like a wild free spirit! The story was very believable and I totally lost it and cried toward the end. Through the pain we go through in life...life goes on and there can be forgiveness.

Why Me?
(1984)

Very good movie
I have not seen this movie again since it aired on television in the 80's. It was such a touching, amazing movie I just can't believe it hasn't been back on. If anyone finds when it's showing again, please e-mail me, I would love to record it! (If you love Armand Assante, you'll love this movie!)
