Deep
(2021)

It's worth to take a peek under the hood.
Im not saying this is a good movie. As said by many others reviewers, it's a great idea, but poorly executed.

But...

If you take a look at the profiles of the main cast and crew, will notice this is the first to third job of many of then in a non mainstream low budget production, mostly funded by a phone service company.

Little of the movie problems are in the acting and direction. The big chunk of it rest in the screenplay. Have six people writing one single script will almost always end in a convoluted story line. They will add and cut stuff, they will argue and disagree and in the end will be so focused on details and forget the big picture. Even so, one final review from an outside and critical eye would have made wonders to the movie.

I liked most of it. Skipped a lot of soap opera drama parts. Lots of potential for a western remake.

Baelin's Route: An Epic NPC Man Adventure
(2021)

What a nice surprise!
Not really a reviewer, but i had to give my two cents about this movie. I watch VLDL very randomly at YouTube, but more often than not i like their content and Im specially fond of Epic NPC Man. So, when the video popped on my main page and I pressed play thinking it was just another short skit. Man was i wrong.

The acting is great, the production value far above the overall content of the channel, but man, the writing and directing... So well polished, so focused on telling that exactly story, no more, no less. There isnt much to the plot, and the movie dont need it. The movie shine in the small moments where the characters run the edge between free will and whats scripted to then in the game program. You have to bear in mind this is still the VLDL's Epic NPC man's world. If you don't have some background for the world of characters, much will make no sense.

A very pleasant surprise, more from the team than the movie itself. Now I wonder what else they could create with such precise vision.

The Silence
(2019)

I like bad movies but...
...i gave up around 20 minutes, at the subway scene with the woman with the baby. If this is what the filmmakers thinks are a good scene, i dont need to watch the rest.

Escape Room
(2019)

Why I even try?
I considered very carefully watch this movie or not. Checking the previous works of the writers and director i thought i could be reading to some rare hidden gem, like The Conjuring. I couldn't be more wrong. Everything is this movie is flat and recycled. I'm writing this literally minutes after watching and i can't think of a single scene that stuck in my mind. If for no better reason, at least this movie showed me that Deborah Ann Woll could play a tremendous Lara Croft.
