I am a big horror fan who will watch anything that falls in this genre so when I found this on Netflix, I was like YAY! But really, I am quite disappointed. Overall acting is OK. I find some scenes a little stiff and ridiculous to an extent. I have so many whys and WTF moments like this one for instance---there's a priest who stayed behind to try and counsel a group of teens and since the story has supernatural written all over it, anyone would expect the story to have some sort of demonic possession and include exorcism but nope, nothing. Why the heck did they include a priest in the story then and just kill him off anyway? What's the point? You could have at least given him a couple of minutes to recite a prayer out loud before killing him off.

Wow how come so many people gave this movie just 1, 2 or 3 stars? It wasn't all that bad. I didn't read the book. I just went right ahead and watched the movie when I found out that the lead star was someone I really enjoyed watching from the tv series Teen Wolf. I thought he was a very promising actor and was funny as a goofball and should do more fun roles so imagine my surprise when he got the lead role in the movie American Assassin. He's GOOD, really good and I think he deserve all 10 stars. He cleaned up real nice and got the moves. I'd love to see him in another action/thriller.

The movie was surprisingly good. I actually stopped what I was doing so I could sit down and watch. I don't understand why some people rated it down. I'm giving it 10 stars no less than that. I've no idea who the actor playing Jimmy Vickers is and have not heard of him or seen any other movies he starred in but after watching Vendetta, I sure would like to see some more of him in similar roles. The movie reminds me of Jack Reacher, Lucas Davenport and the like. If you are a fan of any of these book characters and you enjoy the genre then watch the film, you can thank me right after. This is no ordinary revenge movie. It's cold and heartless and definitely not for the squeamish and weak of heart.
