Thor: Love and Thunder
(2022)

Comedy, drama, action, epicness and LOVE
I liked it a lot. Despite the fact that the film was supposed to be a comedy because of how the character has been treated lately turning him into a clown, it has drama, action and epicness... And a lot of love. The villain is well-constructed, his origin-to-end story arc is very good, though I'm sure comic book lovers will say he sucks. The scene with the empowered children was a perfect touch. Using Zeus for the issue of inclusion and progressivism was funny, not forced at all; and the thing about Korg makes sense because he's just rocks. The Jane Fonda arc... I mean, Jodie Foster... I mean, Jane Foster and what she did at the end was fine, and the scene with Thor was very emotional and deep. Taika Waititi definitely convinced me this time, he gave us a good installment.

The mid-credit scene was very interesting, let's see what happens with Thor's future, and the post-credit scene was satisfactory.

Lightyear
(2022)

I approve science fiction and action
Beyond Infinity. The film is science fiction and action. It has an emotional scene at the beginning like "Up". The artificial intelligence cat will surely sell, his scenes are good. It has nothing to do with the Toy Story universe. At the beginning there is a text that literally says "In 1995 Andy bought a toy from his favorite movie. This is that movie." A love letter to science fiction movies set in space. I liked that they got out of the usual conventional mold and did something more serious and scientific, something for adults, and I applaud them for that; maybe children will be bored or will not understand, although it is still for them. It has flaws, it lacks emotion and epicity, they leave it aside for focusing on the action; It also has very annoying, irritating characters that make you want to kill them.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
(2022)

Very funny, but pacing inconsistent
The film is very well directed, funny, it has excellent special effects, very good performances, horror parts that remind me of "The Ring" when the villain is going to catch them, but the pacing is inconsistent, it lacked emotion, it didn't generate them in me, it lacked sauce, seasoning. They show almost nothing about the Multiverse, it isn't explored, and it doesn't have a **** about madness. The plot is too simple: a superhero who wants to be in another universe where she can be happy and will kill anyone who gets in the way, to finally reconsider, end up good, and fix everything (nothing original).

Jurassic World Dominion
(2022)

EPIC MOVIE.
I hadn't enjoyed such a good JURASSIC movie in a long time. Screen time is given to both new and old characters. It was a great decision to bring the original cast. 2 and a half hours that pass in the blink of an eye, enjoyable from start to end. It is an excellent closure coming from previous installments that were not very good (although if they want they can exploit the saga more).

Top Gun: Maverick
(2022)

Great movie. Excellent movie. It's perfect.
Great movie. Excellent movie. It's perfect.

After 36 years (1986) Tom Cruise returns with the second part and THEY THROWED THE HOUSE OUT THE WINDOW. What genius. He has the perfect action and characters that make you yearn for the 80s.

The Batman
(2022)

Good movie
Very dense, dark, cold. A totally devastated, dirty, criminal city. Bruce is quite tormented. Gordon and Bruce play 2 detectives investigating all the rottenness of the police, politicians v and millionaires. It's very reminiscent of "Se7en". The rider is totally insane and at the end you have to hit people to make them react (just like Se7en's killer). Impeccable performances. Edward Cullen goes from being a stupid vampire to a smart bat. Catwoman does a good job. Falcone is the fearsome crime boss and the Penguin is not far behind climbing the rungs. Bruce's parents are not totally clean. The final cameo lets you wanting to see what is to come for the saga. It is a pretty long and slow movie, it is not for everyone, many will be bored with Batman's voice off saying his thoughts. It is definitely not for children. There isn't much action but it has its 3 moments so you don't get bored with a Batman unleashed. In the end, Batman is what he should be: an altruistic vigilante capable of doing the impossible to save his beloved Gotham. If they took 20 minutes out of the 3 hours it would probably be better.

Godzilla vs. Kong
(2021)

A goddamn wonder
Godzilla wants to kill with everything that takes away his reign from him, he arrives on the ocean liner where they take Kong and have their first round. Scientists want to find a power source to defeat Godzilla and reach the Earth's core that reminds us Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Kong is the goddamn master there, fights against everyone, recovers an ax from his ancestors and sits on his throne like a whole king. Because of an atomic ray of Godzilla the hollow earth and the surface are connected, Kong arrives in Tokyo and the second and last round occurs with a spectacularity like few I've seen in cinema (I will not say who wins between Godzilla and Kong so as not to spoil). Evil company activates MechaGodzilla (a robot Godzilla) with the source, this monster is very powerful, he is going to kill Godzilla, Kong arrives with his ax and between they 2 fight him; Kong with a brutal attack destroys "Mecha". Kong and Godzilla look at each other and Kong drops his ax. They 2 remains as Alpha Titans, Godzilla on the surface and Kong in the hollow earth. The bad thing about the plot is the humans, you don't care abut them at all, you remove them and put in more monster fight and it would be great. This movie is not for 80' TV, cell phone or tablet, it is to be enjoyed at the cinema.

Zack Snyder's Justice League
(2021)

EPIC 4 hours and 2 minutes.
It follows the same dense, dark movie idea and emo and depressive characters from "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman". Even so, this is a much lighter film than the previous ones; so much so that the hours are not noticeable and they go by quickly. Diana is all an Amazon war, not the weak one they presented to us in WW84, Batman is no longer a walking joke, here if he is rude. Well developed characters, unexpected cameos and gory film. The soundtrack is another plus that gives everything an epic touch. Very good movie that should have been released 3 years and 4 months ago in cinema (that is, November 2017).

Wonder Woman 1984
(2020)

Disappointing
The film is very long and nothing happens in the first hour, if not for the opening prologue, which is excellent, you can even fall asleep. The effects of her jumping onto buildings like Spider-Man and when she don't have them, holding onto lightning bolts are from b-series tv movie. High heels shoes don't look good on her when she's running. The romantic and comedy scenes between Diana and Steve are very childish and absurd, not adult at all, the whole movie in general. There are scenes reminiscent of Batman from Schumacher. Invisibility is pulled up their sleeve without any explanation, it does it because the script says. The theme of "I don't need a man to be happy" is absurd and contradicts itself in the same movie, because she has been sad for decades for having lost her love. There are cameras even in the mall, however they enter the White House as if nothing, without any security. The villains are much better than in the previous installment led by great actors. The treatment of men is worse than in Birds of Prey. The action scenes are very good and the movie is not bad, but it has many flaws. The final battle is very good, but it is very short.

Gretel & Hansel
(2020)

Not bad
It has good things but it also has slow parts. Everyone who was in the theater was bored and when it was over they said "what a bad movie" and they made fun of "in administration you can go to get the 50% refund of the ticket" hahaha. It does have a somewhat strange ending. Obviously each person has their tastes, I liked that it is not the classic Disney story but terror, something different, I also liked that within the terror is different from today's genre, the gloomy atmosphere it has is great, the sounds, OST and the performances too.

The Invisible Man
(2020)

Excellent psychological thiller.
I liked the movie a lot. At the beginning it is a thriller of suspense that catches you from the beginning: Gender violence, psychological abuse, drama, tension and manipulation by a gifted psychopath. The film is raised by the magnificent performance of Elisabeth Moss. In the middle it falls and becomes the typical Friday the 13th or Halloween horror movie. But that last turn when they are having dinner for me is great. In the end I am left with the doubt of whether it was him or not, maybe he was telling the truth but she was never going to be able to live with that uncertainty and with the hell he made her go through.

The Call of the Wild
(2020)

Sunday afternoon
It's a movie to spend some time if you have nothing better to do. I don't understand how Disney release this in theaters and Togo in Disney+, of Togo has much better production, cinematography and performances than this home movie.

Sonic the Hedgehog
(2020)

Entertaining & Enjoyable
I really enjoy this movie. It is a film for kids and has silly things, but you have to get into the story (which is quite simple) and you enjoy it a lot. The best scene is at the bar with the Quicksilver/Flash one moment. Jim Carrey as the bad guy in the government (Dr. Robotnic) trying to catch him is the one we all expected for decades, although as he is not the protagonist, he does not appear much in the movie.

It has 2 mid-credit scenes.

Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn
(2020)

Good action sequences BY CHAD STAHELSKI
Bad movie. I liked the reshoots by JohnWick's director, Chad Stahelski, because the previous version was terrible without those action sequences. I liked the arc of Huntress as well, she's a good assassin. And the flashbacks and flashforwards like Pulp Fiction. But everything else is a disaster. The little Chinese girl swallows a diamond and Black Mask wants to kill her to take it back. The 5 girls gather to fight at the end because of the fate (and the script). People who were in the theater preferred to look at their cell phones in front of boring scenes, you can cut 40 minutes and it looks better. This is NOT DC COMICS. Ewan McGregor's character was crap. The post-credit scene was stolen from Deadpool.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker
(2019)

Not bad at all
The movie has MacGuffin, things when you say "what the **** did the writers do here?"; so it's no perfect, but it's a good movie that close 9 movies and 42 years. May the force be with you.

Ford v Ferrari
(2019)

One of the best movies i have seen in my life
Text: It has adrenaline from start to end with touches of drama. Excellent tempo. Very good script and direction. Very convincing performances. It is accompanied by a very good music that immerses you along it. The movie lasts 2 hours 32 minutes and you don't feel them, it's worth it, you enjoy every goddamn second. I hadn't felt this way for a long time, and I don't know about cars and they don't attract me, but the movie is made with love, in addition to everything you learn from history with this based on real life. I could watch it a thousand times.

Terminator: Dark Fate
(2019)

Not a bad sequel to the first 2
The action scenes are the best I've watched, the CGI and deaging of the actors because of the end of the second installment (28 years ago) is amazing. All effects in general are very good. Good direction. The performances seeems VERY GOOD. Still it seems saturated with the action, too much and lacks taste. The film also starts well and then falls into a hole and has a hard time getting out, SSSLOWWW and when Arnie comes, it gets up; i don't feel good tempo; slow by pieces and a lot of action on others, that is, I don't think it has a good editing. Is it bad? NOT AT ALL, but it didn't convince me. Worthy sequel to the first 2. Many will hate it for what they did with a certain character.

The Addams Family
(2019)

Bad and very stupid with silly jokes
Bad. It is very stupid with silly jokes, although children might like it. Although I have to admit that he has good things. I liked how the origins show us and how they know Lurch, how uncle Fester comes, how they get to that "haunted" and macabre house. They show us that they are not only them but as 50 relatives that without quite bizarre and in general this whole world/universe. But apart from that, the plot is very silly, although I laughed only once with a pint that they put on Wednesday. It also makes a half sense with the plot of Pugsley.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
(2019)

Boring and not good
I liked the new reinterpretation of sleeping beauty of 2014. Something "original" that changed the classic story. This second installment does not match the previous one. Spend a lot of time rambling and avoiding to arrive at 2 hours. VERY SLOW and in essence almost nothing happens. Angelina eats the movie, Disney really knew how to choose it very well. Michelle Pfeiffer as the human villain who wants to end all rare beings and that the world is only human does well. On the other hand we see that Maleficent finds other Dark Fairies equal to her and that reminded me a lot of How to train your dragon 3, but this one is badly told compared to the other. If the movie takes 30 minutes I would give it an 7, but with my note I am being benevolent.

Gemini Man
(2019)

Piece of crap.
Everything is bad in this movie. Script (ridiculous lines of dialog), plot, performances, CGI. Sometimes young Will is worse than #Superman's mustache. It is innovative and spectacular in how it was filmed, with 3d cameras at 4Kand 120fps, but at the same time that image is difficult to process in our eyes and brain, it seems like a soap opera format and not a movie.

Joker
(2019)

Good
Good acting; direction; staging and cinematography; atmosphere; photography; and score and Original Soundtrack. But in some moments it is a bit slow and when the good thing starts, it suddenly end. There are also certain predictable parts and does not deliver anything new with the plot twist imitating Fight Club.

Ad Astra
(2019)

Gorgeous
Explore the galaxy. Search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Are we alone in the universe? Are we self-destructive? Are we willing to continue until the end regardless of the consequences? Do we become what we judge without realizing it? The story that the film tells us has a very deep meaning and explores the most hidden corners of the human being. A slow movie that goes through the stages of degradation and collapse of an individual feeling lost and the will to continue forward and get up to reach a goal. The sound and score, the photography, the scenarios and landscapes, the cinematography, the direction and the colours are really gorgeous.

It Chapter Two
(2019)

It chapter 2 is not very good
It is not bad either, at all, but leaves much to be desired in comparison to its excellent first part; his balloon deflates a lot, not so much but he floats very softly. It has some very good moments of tension l, quite raw and gore scenes, but in general it is a soothing hitter. "It" is not a clown, it is an evil entity that takes many forms and here they do not show it as such, in the first one it was well introduced but here they were limited with the character, they are still determined to only show Pennywise and do not show their true potential. Although the performances and the actors are very good, the "companionship" is not felt, only when there are flashbacks and they show them guys is when you notice that "brothers" atmosphere. Many times it is not understood why an adult is going to be afraid of something that feeds on your dreams and you already know that if you are not afraid of it, nothing will happen to you (of the children if it is understood, obviously) .The problem is the script and deepened to that the long duration that does not know how to build and spin the plot well; It has some scenes of other people's shame and also forced comedy. I liked Stephen King's cameo and the turtle references for example. I also liked the reference to Nightmare on Elm Street.

Toy Story 4
(2019)

Good but not the best.
The 3rd one I think is better but this is not bad at all, it just doesn't reach that level. It has good emotional moments and several ones of "knot in the throat" in which you'll cry. I like the development of the villain (Gaby Gaby), her arc and how she evolves. The initial scene with the rain and how they tell us what happened with Bo Peep 9 years ago is GREAT. The new characters Forky, Ducky and Bunny, Duke Caboom and Giggle McDimples are great. The road that Woody has to travel and how he has to get rid of his past with Andy is very well done. The ending with Woody and Buzz Lightyear is one of the best things I've seen. 3D animation is the biggest thing that Pixar has done, there are times that even it looks real.
