Hellraiser
(2022)

What was the point?
This adaptation is all over the place and has no solid plot. It's mostly filmed in really dark lighting and is nowhere near as good as the original. It doesn't come close or even compare. This movie is more about a selfish girl struggling with addiction, and too dumb to understand the difference between right and wrong and when to just walk away from a bad situation.

They should have just left the original Hellraiser alone because that's an unmatched classic horror film, that actually makes sense. That film has horrifyingly gruesome and gory scenes that really creep you out. This version was mediocre at best.

Unhinged
(2020)

Solid action packed thriller, with some flaws
I enjoyed this film up until the end. Crowe's character fits right in with the pyschos we currently hear about in the daily news. However, it's so lame to have a weak female character playing a damsel in distress throughout the entire film and consistently making bad choices, only to have her turn into G. I. Jane to defeat the biggest strongest character with a corny line. This Hollywood narrative is way overdone and played out. It's just not believable.

Run the World
(2021)

LOVE THIS SERIES!!
This series is amazing and we need more like it! It's sad that series like this, showcasing black women ALWAYS get a low rating; as if, black women can't be fashionable, sexy, successful, sexual and relatable. Run The World is the revamped Sex and City, featuring beautiful black women and a talented cast that's entertaining and keeps you interested. The intelligent and witty dialogue and the comedic and romantic storylines are well worth the watch.

Deaf U
(2020)

Not a documentary
This is a reality show about deaf college students crushing on each other and sleeping around. The soundtrack overlapping each scene is distracting and wack. There are not a lot of POC represented in this series; however, there are two black guys who seem to be interested in dating the white girls on campus. Most of the guys are interseted in one of the main characters, Alexa. I wasted my time watching this mess.

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey
(2020)

Absolute Christmas magic!
This movie has such a beautiful story, it makes you emotional. I cried several times. The cast and set design were also amazing. This is the type of film to show your kids (especially young girls) to inspire them to believe in their talents and to nurture their exceptional gifts.

The Bill
(2017)

So true to life
This short film was so on-poin, hilarious and true to life. I have literally experienced "the bill" scenario several times, while dining out with friends.

Antebellum
(2020)

Good suspense movie
I thought this was going to be a scary/thriller but it was more of a good suspenseful movie. The low ratings are probably coming from the same type of ppl who don't want to face racism in this country or believe that white priviledge even exists. Without giving away any spoilers, the movie was good. It's like "Get Out" meets "The Village."

World's Most Wanted
(2020)

It was overall good
A better version of this documentary would provide details of how the government is actually assisting these criminals from being captured, That is more than likely the key factor of how they're able to remain at large for decades.

Ozark
(2017)

The teenagers are annoying and exhausting
This show is good; however, the bratty and really disrespectful teenagers make it hard to watch at times. Charlotte is a very hard pill to swallow. Also, the brother and sister are only supposed to be 1yr apart but they look like there's a 5 yr difference between them.

Merry Liddle Christmas
(2019)

Annoying
This movie could have been good without the typical corny family drama caused by bad kids and a dog and family members who had no respect for someone else's household. It's also hard to appreciate a movie where the characters have an unrealistic "no big deal" type of reaction to the chaos around them.

See You Yesterday
(2019)

Unique and entertaining sci-fi
It seems like most of the negative reviews may stem from an audience who's not in touch with the reality of racial profiling and police brutality in the black community.

Then, when you add black characters to portray extremly intelligent teens who discover time travel, that same naive audience may have a hard time accepting this type of unique sci-fi with a twist.

The movie was good, it keeps you interested to know what's going to happen. The main characters were very intelligent but also urban city teens that were relatable, which was a refreshing choice of casting for a sci-fi film.

Black Love
(2017)

Amazingly Inspirational
This series was so impactful that I couldn't get enough. I loved the display of different dynamics within each relationship. These couples' honesty was truly inspirational. We need more shows like this on TV.

The Silence
(2019)

Lame
This is a rip-off dud of "A Quiet Place." It has bad acting, bad dialogue, major plot holes and scenes that makes it hard to sit through.
