When I first saw they had made this series, I was like - nobody wants this! I watched the first episode and was bored and left it. A couple of months go by and I was bored so I picked it up from Episode 2, which was hilarious and ridiculous to I went back to episode 1. A good six hours later I'm like hellz yeah! This was a complete surprise! I loved it. They expanded on a fringe character that I had never heard of before the Harley Quinn series and totally rode the wave with him in such an unexpected way. The backdrop of the story is just as ridiculous as the Harley Quinn series is, but they really up the humor leveraging on Kite Man's dimwittedness. I imagine a purist watching this and saying the Kite Man is meant to be a supervillain not an antihero - well those people can find something else to watch. I laughed so hard, I was invested in most of the characters. I cant wait for a Season2.
I'm not sure that this episode could have been any better. I actually have never been sad to see a TV show end, but I'm really sad this one ended - but my goodness did it end on such a high. Absolutely brilliant on so many levels. Homage to the fans, homage to the characters and homage to the persona that Larry David created. Sheer and utter storytelling genius! This has definately been my favourite series - I think one or two episodes were a wobble but when it all came together it is purely a work of art. Well done to the writers, cast and crew - you did an absolutely fantastic job! Thank you for making this.
I have a lot to criticize about this show, but it's a complete winner in my book. It characterizes the struggle of feminism, and the struggle of men who actually love female prosperity go through. It's crazy that a guy from deep dark Africa like me can really really understand this show in it's global context. And yet it's still very very entertaining - like extremely entertaining. I love this show, I'm so glad it found a third season. I hope the writers don't pander to the world and give us the excellent storyline and themes. Good work - I think the premise really speaks to the majority in a way that actually glorifies the minority. It looks genius because it's actually real.
