You Had Me at Aloha
(2021)

So Much Fun!
Pascale and Kavan are great as a couple in Hallmark movies. This movie was a lot of fun watching them in Hawaii and I almost felt like I was there. I was happily surprised that the soundtrack included 'I Ran' by Flock of Seagulls.

Christmas Around the Corner
(2018)

Great 2018 Christmas Movie
I really like this one and wish Lifetime would release it on DVD or streaming video. I checked out the other films by writer Michael J. Murray. He has written a lot of my favorite films such as Duke, The Christmas Shepherd and other Christmas related movies.

Date My Dad
(2017)

Love this show!
Being a Barry Watson fan since 7th Heaven I was really excited when I found out he was starring in a new series.

This show is all about family, in this case a widower with 3 young girls to raise. Ricky Cooper is very lucky to have a great support network including his mother-in-law played by Raquel Welch.

UPtv Channel does get family and this show is an excellent example of their 'feel good' lineup. These days we really need more of this type of programming.

All the episodes are enjoyable however the 7th episode is especially meaningful.

Holiday Engagement
(2011)

Didn't care for it.
I've been watching all the Hallmark and Lifetime holiday movies that I can this year. I can't believe I sat through the entire two hours of this one.

The beginning showed promise but it went down from there. The story did not work. It just didn't flow. There wasn't a feeling of connection between the characters as they were just stiff. The conclusion was rushed.

I was happy to see Shelley Long and Sam McMurray but sad if this is the only work they can find. Jordan Bridges' character is the only one that is interesting.

There are two similar movies that I would recommend over this one. One is 'Holiday in Handcuffs' with Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez. 'My Fake Fiancé' with Melissa Joan Hart and Joseph (Joey) Lawrence is another.

Christmas Magic
(2011)

Different
This movie is different from the other holiday movies I've seen this year. A few minutes into the film I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue watching. I didn't see how I could like the ending, however I chose to see it through to the end. The movie leads you to believe one possible ending but surprises you with another one.

Lindy Booth brings real depth to her character, which is very likable. The other actors also did a good job of making the story believable. There are some problems with the film such as make-up, the hospital set, lip syncing and how Carrie jumped into her task so easily. Also the end of the film is a little rushed. You have to realize that this is an Hallmark Channel TV movie. It's a less expensive movie than major network TV movies and has maybe one or two recognizable stars. It's meant to be for all members of the family and give a warm fuzzy holiday feeling.
