Who knew a movie could be so boring the only redeemable part of this movie was the last 5 or 10 minutes of it. Glad I didn't see it at the theater. I can enjoy seeing musicals, like the one from the thirties and forties, the ones from the sixties like Westside(?) story was great even Hello Dolly was better than Chicago.

I admit the only reason I went to this movie was because Mrs Moder was in it. It must be a chick flick because out of the maybe thirty people in the theater there was just one other male that I saw. This was one of Julia Roberts best movies, as always she acts great and the movie is obviously hers no one else really stands out, so if you are a male and a Julia Roberts fan you should go see this movie. Hey even if you aren't a Julia Roberts fan grab your girlfriend and go.

I think this was the best of the three movies,although Two Towers is really close, although they chopped whole sections of the book out and changed(unfortunately) other sections it was fairly well done. After seeing all three movies I now know what my biggest problem with the movie(s) is, my biggest problem is that in my opinion they took a lot of the focus off the hobbits and focus more on other characters. I hope that they release a huge special edition set of all three movies that perhaps with a little editing can make it look like one long movie so we won't have to sit through opening credits of three movies, but of course with DVD's now it is so easy to skip the opening credits.

Fans of the book beware this movie is not a good adaptation ,it fails to be true in my opinion to most of the plot and plot twists of the book, so as an adaptation of the book I would give the movie 1 out of 10

If you haven't read the book and are just looking for a good thiller of a movie then this movie will please you and I would give it a 7 out of 10

The best thing about this movie is the lead actress, she looks as young as ever to me. As for the movie it is really stupid. Diamond thieves accidently leave make up bag( containing the diamond) in rented car and instead of doing the smart thing and simply telling the next person that rented the car that they left a bag in the car they decide to kidnap the guy and ask for the diamond as ransom.

The only really reason this movie gets a 6 from me is the ending. I really thought it was a 3 out of 10 until the ending of the movie, the ending made the movie worth watching. I me how much can you stand a rogue cop movie. It takes away your confidence in the real police to see them potrayed this way.

Most people feel that Judge Dredd was a really bad movie but as far as the genre goes it really wasn't that bad. sure the dialogue left something to be desired( I am the Law) but the story line was okay and the comic relief of rob schnieder was good too.so rent the movie and enjoy.

What a waste of Miss Roberts excellent acting talents, the story is great but I found that all Julia had to do was show cleavage and swear, and for this she received an Oscar. Maybe more actresses should swear and show cleavage and they will receive Oscars. I love Julia as an actress is one of the very best but in this movie I think she really bombs. Lets look at the inconsistencies 1) Is her character a smoker or not,(not that I am a fan of smoking in movies) she smokes once at the beginning of the movie then never again.(Why) 2) Also the Character claims the reason she wears sexy clothing is because she finds it most comfortable but when she gets home after work she changes into sweats. Is this to maker herself less comfortable. 3) Anybody that would talk to and swear at her boss the way she did would usually be fired on the spot.

Julia being in this movie makes it worth watching,but if are not a fan of one of the main actors/actresses then don't bother. I admit I am a fan of Miss Roberts and would eventually like to see all her movies( with the exception possibly of Firehouse), but truly this movies really isn't worth much unless your are a fan of the stars.
