Help!
(1965)

Seriously? Don't tell me you hate this movie
OK, so I am 13, and whilst most of my generation loves the music of Justin Beiber, Ke$ha , and the like, I am a weird person to like Tears for Fears and the Beatles (2 favorite bands!) especially since I am a teen girl. I am even weirder for liking actress Eleanor Bron (Ahme) and Ava Gardner, Bette Davis, Sophia Loren, Lilly Tomlin, etc, because normal teens like Kristen Stewart. But the hell with that! I love Help! It is raucous, hilarious in a very British way. Nods to Monty Python are observed. Hilarious lines from George and Paul, especially: "Jeweler you failed" and "I'll clear her name. We're very close." Love love love the music, and Eleanor's crazy but chic outfits as well. Help! is one to see. 10/10 AC

George Lopez
(2002)

I am totally addicted to this show!
I first came upon this show while on vacation last summer. I was in my hotel room, and my family wanted to watch something, so I flipped channels, came upon "George Lopez", and watched 2 episodes. Shortly after the second one, I became obsessed. I love this show and it is not a usual trash sitcom like many other Nick at Nite or ABC pieces of trash! You know a show is good when you cannot choose a "least favorite" character, because they are all so well played. This is definitely one of those shows! George, playing himself, the titular character, whatever you call it, works at an airplane parts factory,Powers Bros. and is manager there. Angie, his loving but flighty wife, sells cosmetics. His teen daughter Carmen and grade-school (and later teen) son Max are more than your typical snot-nosed kids, they add a different dynamic and are not cheesy. His friend Ernie is affable and dumb, but is hilarious in what he does, so are the Powers Bros.,and Angie's dad Vic Palmero, who makes some appearances, but the BEST character on this show is George's drunk, raucous, poker- loving, rude, crude, antagonistic mother, Benny! She delivers unexpected comments that always have wit and zing! I LOVE HER, SHE IS EXTREMELY TALENTED! It makes for a great cast, and, as George would say, Que loco hombre!:) Ps. I am only rating this 9/10 because Carmen left.

A.N.T. Farm
(2011)

Not what everyone expected.
I have watched Disney Channel since I was 6. At that age, they had some good shows, like Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven, and Phil of the Future and Life With Derek, as well as So Weird, also worked too. However, with the birth of "Hannah Montana," Disney went majorly down-hill. Wizards and Good luck Charlie were amusing and tolerable, but Fish Hooks is really stupid and annoying -and Shake it Up?!?! Come on, I loathe the THEME SONG of that...that...(It's so dumb I cannot even call it a show.) However, A.N.T. Farm (and maybe their new show,Jessie) may bring Disney, while not to its former prime (that can never happen again), at least a bigger fan base and less patheticness.I think A.N.T. Farm is, while sometimes cheesy,Cute, eye catching, and watchable! I like the principal a LOT, and Wacky The Wolf random appearances,well...that's ant-tastic! Hahahahahahahahhaaaaaaaa! OK, that's enough random ANT-humor.

The Day Christ Died
(1980)

Not so bad, not so good
I'm giving this 5 for the two main women in this movie- Mary and Claudia. Neither of them were as bad as in The Passion with Mel Gibson. And I may be biased since I love Mary (Eleanor Bron)'s work. However, what when on in Chris' mind while shooting this????? Does he not realize what big of a job he has or what? Maybe he had amnesia while shooting or something like that. All I know is that, this could have been better. And Judas doesn't even seem evil! With a cast like this, we could drive Mel Gibson over the edge with talent! But no sir. It had to be wasted. PS- Jesus is NOT a myth, thank you very much! So I kinda think-room for improvement, definitely. Worth one watch? Of course!

A Little Princess
(1995)

All Girls Are Princesses!
This movie is wonderful! I am 13 almost 14 years old and I still watch this movie regularly! I watched it so much the DVD messed up and I had to buy a new one! I HAVE read the book, and at the time I liked the book, but then I watched this-and I was blown away! This movie is a perfect example of a kids' movie that isn't horrible garbage without being overly intense. I have to admit, this is quit different from the book, but who really CARES? Sara (Liesel Matthews) is a thoughtful, smart, sweet child, not spoiled and stupidly cheerful like Shirley Temple's version. Oh no! She IS a little princess! And her father (Liam Cunningham) is so devoted and loving!

But the best acted part of this entire movie has to go to: Eleanor Bron (yes, the lady in Help, and Wimbledon!!) as Miss Minchin! She was an amazing evil woman but at the same time, you see that she has never been loved and that's why she's so HEARTLESS! I believe that woman should have won an Oscar for this! And Cuaron's directing is unbelievably great! Seriously, go see this film. If you hate it, email me at anastasia.cessano.writes@aol.com with your complaints.

The Magic School Bus
(1994)

This is one of the few kids' shows I would watch.
I don't watch a bunch of little kids' shows but I have to say "The Magic School Bus" is actually cool.

I loved this in 3rd Grade and I wished I could have Miss Frizzle as MY teacher! Then 3 weeks ago I came across it again on the Qubo channel and I watched an episode...and at the end I found out Lily Tomlin is Miss Frizzle! I LOVE THAT WOMAN! My favorite character (besides the Frizz, of course) is Phoebe. And I love Arnold" I shoulda stayed home today, and Carlos' bad jokes. I totally think this could take on Sesame Street! It is educational and awesome, so totally, yeah!

MAGIC SCHOOL BUS FOREVER, PEOPLE!

The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie
(1999)
Episode 5, Season 3

hello? What were they THINKING????
I grew up with this version and I watched in the fourth grade (I am now 13, about to start the seventh.) I am ashamed that an entire school year I thought this version was the original true Annie! Over the summer between 5th and 6th grades I saw the 1982 version with Aileen Quinn, Carol Burnett, Bernadette Peters, Ann Reinking, Albert Finney and Tim Curry....and I was blown away.

It may have been a bit overdone...but this remake is LIFELESS! Miss Hannigan isn't a man-crazed drunk! Lilly is dumber and trampier! Rooster doesn't do the rooster noise thingy! And WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED to Punjab and the Asp???!!!??? I only rated this 2-stars because Andrea McArdle was in it.(as the Star to Be.)And because of Alicia Morton (Annie's) singing. Seriously, if you want to watch a good Annie, go watch the 1982 version!
