Jackass Forever
(2022)

Funny as always but maybe dying
It's a typical Jackass film, not really much that can be said other than the stunts were great, as usual.

The original Jackass crew, considering how long they've been doing this for, are still going strong. The new crew that was introduced were quite good, but it feels like a hand-me-down to the younger crew which makes me wonder... if another film was made without the original crew, would it survive.

I would recommend for a bit of nostalgia as they recreate some old stunts 20 years later with side by side comparisons.

Metal Lords
(2022)

Not what expected
I went into this with not much hope. I just wanted something to watch through boredom, but it was surprisingly good.

The film is about 2 best friends that want to start a metal band but looking for a third member proves difficult on their friendship.

The acting was really good and they actually play their own instruments which isn't that common in films like this, and makes it that much better.

Great plot, acting and music. Would recommend.

Beerfest
(2006)

Hilarious then boring
It's one of those films that is hilarious on the first watch but half the jokes are dead on the second watch. If you decide to give it a third attempt years later like I did, it will then be boring.

Hajimete no otsukai
(1990)

Hilarious and heartwarming
I put it on to see what it was like and ended up binge watching all 20 episodes on Netflix. The concept is to see how toddlers (youngest is 2, oldest is 4) handle a bit of independence with errands. The children are clearly kept safe with a whole crew following them with their cameras disguised and giving a helping hand if necessary when the children are struggling or got scared.

I would recommend giving this a watch if you want a laugh and maybe cry over the most heartwarming moments.

Louis Theroux: Shooting Joe Exotic
(2021)

Another side?
As always, Louis Theroux brings out another amazing documentary showing the insights of certain industries and lifestyles.

Here he shows the other side of the Tiger King documentary with unseen footage from a 2011 with Joe himself.

This just might change your view on Joe Exotic or make your opinion even stronger.

I definitely recommend you watch this if you haven't already.

The Blues Brothers
(1980)

Love this film
I absolutely love this film. It's got too humour, amazing music, some of the biggest R&B stars of the time and ridiculous over-the-top action. What's not to love?

Next Gen
(2018)

Surprisingly good
I went into this film not expecting it to be very good, maybe just a few good jokes and then be bored for the rest.

Although there were a lot of cliche moments like all films nowadays, this was surprisingly good and I think is one of the best animation films I've seen.

A girl angry at the world, stupid robots and a life lesson is what this film is with a few moments made for the adults that are watching with their kids.

If you liked Big Hero 6, you will like this.

For an animation, the film score for the final battle scene added so much emotion to it and had me on edge waiting to see what happens.

Dirty Old Town
(1995)

A serious Rik Mayall
One of Rik Mayalls more serious roles about an alcoholic homeless man accidentally acquiring a script and the luxurious life of a writer.

This film has few laughs for what we're used to seeing from Rik Mayall, but he was amazing in a serious drama setting.

If you love a good story with a few twists then this is definitely for you.

Briefest Encounter
(1993)

One of the best
One of the few in a collection of TV movies made with Rik Mayall in the 90's.

While starting out serious, this film then takes dark and hilarious turns that cannot be predicted.

A must watch whether you are a Rik Mayall fan or just looking for some good laughs.

Most Extreme Elimination Challenge
(2003)

A lot more fun
I watched this show years ago when it first came on TV in the UK and loved it straight away.

Adding sound effects and voice overs to clips of Takeshi's Castle makes this show a lot more fun to watch.

The commentary is hilarious.

Fearless
(2020)

A good film for kids
It's a kids film so I can't really give hate for it, but for an adult having to sit through it, it'll bore you a lot.

There's a couple funny jokes within the film and the final scene was pretty good, but apart from that, you won't enjoy it much.

Definitely recommend if you're just looking for something to keep the kids quiet for a couple hours.
