Balu Mahi
(2017)

Dreadfully Pathetic
This movie was absolute trash. I feel sorry for the unstable folks who rated it 10, is there a doctor in the house? On a general note, the storyline drifts back and forth over illogical sequences. It's a medley of various Pakistani soaps with no coherence. Osman Butt seems incapable of engaging in any dialogue that doesn't have you thinking that his pet dog has just died? It's the same vague tone and expression for the entire film. In my view, this disasterpiece should be avoided by all.

Beauty and the Beast
(2017)

Plain
Where do I start. This adaptation of Disney's 1991 Beauty and the Beast was an utter disappointment. Emma Watson as Belle was extremely unconvincing from the start to the end. She had the same expressions as the actress from Twilight. The animators did a terrible job with the Beast. He looked fake and lifeless. They could have used special makeup to create the beast similar to the Grinch where we get to see Jim Carrey's expressions. The side character animations were poorly executed. Overall I felt the film was rushed as there was lack of compassion and chemistry between the characters. There was a lot of CGI and green screen which could have been replaced by normal acting, because then why make an animated version of an animated film? This is by far the worst remake of an animated classic.

Sacred Evil
(2006)

A different film
This movie is based on a true story. It revolves around 3 women. A nun, a Wiccan and a young girl named Claudia in search of her mother. The nun is Martha, a 45-year-old withering woman who lives in a secluded convent in Calcutta. Even in the sanctuary of the Church, she is haunted by a specter that threatens her sanity. The Wiccan, Ipsita, is called upon by the unconventional Mother Superior to heal Martha's soul. As the healing process begins the Wiccan soon discovers Martha's deep secrets. The storyline is a bit slow paced with not much happening in the first half hour. The narrative could have been improved slightly. Don't confuse if for a horror film as its more about paranoia. Its a decent one time watch if you're really bored. I would not recommend it to horror buffs.

Disappointment
I must say I was disappointed watching this film. It was long and tedious, and I was wishing for it to end. Let me start of saying that the character development is flawed. New characters appeared scene after scene without any description and the focus fluctuated from one actor to the other leaving the audience without any main focal point. Secondly the plot has many loop holes. The idea was great but wasn't executed. The editing is very choppy as the scenes do not seem to go in a flow. Seemed like a roller coaster jumping from one scene to the next, a result of poor editing. The only good aspect of the movie was Shaan. He is a terrific actor and he played his role well. Overall this movie isn't worth your time.

Terrible
After reading all the "awesome" reviews here I decided to give this movie a go. The movie starts off well but as soon as they start showing Kamaal Hassans past it becomes completely dull. There is no connection between the scenes from his past and future. The plot makes no sense at all. I had to fast forward to see the ending but was disappointed there too. In order to find out what happens next you need to wait for its sequel which I'm sure will be as pathetic as the first. Kamaal Hassan just wanted to show his audience that he too can do a spy role.

Please refrain from watching this film. It will save 3 hours of your precious time. My verdict 1/10

Siyaah..

D grade bollywood
Let me begin by saying that trailers portray an entirely different overview of a film. When I watched the trailer for this movie I assumed it would be an entertaining horror flick. I assumed wrong. The story is your average "ghost taking possession of a body" leading towards suicide of the possessed person, cop interrogating the death & a religious person solving the mystery. The plot is weak, dialogues are not well written, the direction is amateur and the camera work is clumsy. If you absolutely adore horror genre and have 2 hours to waste then be my guest and watch this film but let me warn you, it will be boring.

Disappointed
I bought this movie thinking it might be a good art film, but in reality this movie is a complete disaster. Every aspect of this film lacks creativity, a decent storyline, a good star cast and above all this movie doesn't have any meaning to it. Soha Ali Khan is a major disappointment. Kiera Chaplin (the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin ) does not know how to act PERIOD. Amateur acting, senseless direction along with a headache is all you get. I wonder why the rating on IMDb is 7.2. Think twice before watching this film unless you are a die hard Soha Khan fan.

My verdict 1/10

The Amazing Spider-Man
(2012)

What a waste
Where do I begin. After growing up with spider man cartoons & watching the first three films starring Dunst & Maguire one tends to fall in love with the whole concept of boy being bitten, getting the woman of his dreams & fighting crime until happily ever after. This film however was a major disappointment. Every aspect of this film from the script to the acting & direction lacked credibility. The new kid on the block, Andrew Garfield hardly knows how to act. The story line is very predictable. The worst part was that the hero doesn't even get the girl. I was unfortunate to watch it in the theatre & that too in 3D. There were hardly any 3D effects. Film makers will go to any extent to squeeze out money from our pockets.

My verdict 3/10

Swaha: Life Beyond Superstition
(2010)

Low Budget
I watched this movie because I generally enjoy horror films. This particular movie is about a house haunted by 3 girls who committed suicide as their father was a lazy drunk who owed money to some gangsters, who in turn wanted his daughters as payback. Now some years later a family consisting of a mother father & son move to this house and disrupt the setting of the dead girls room. And the horror starts. This is a low budget film with actors who cannot act, the lead actress is from London but her accent is from mars. All throughout the movie she is wearing skimpy clothes, that too in India. The actor apparently does not own a full sleeves t-shirt. If you want to kill time this movie should be avoided. Unless you want to watch along with your friends and laugh at all the silliness. My verdict 2/10.

Department
(2012)

Lost respect for commercial films
I fail to understand why the Indian Cinema produces films that are completely worthless. To begin with the film had a star cast ranging from Big B to Sanju Baba & the direction was managed by none other than RG Verma. Seriously RGV what was going on in that brain of yours? The actors failed to deliver a good performance, the direction was extremely poor & I was unable to figure out where to movie was headed. All the scenes seemed to be shot by an amateur camera crew and there was a repetition of the same camera angle over & over again. If you are planning to watch this film it is my duty to stop you. Overall this movie does not even deserve a 1/10. It is simply awful.

Really?
Is bollywood all about cheap entertainment & overratedness? There was no storyline whatsoever, the direction was pathetic & the cast seemed underpaid therefore they delivered such a performance. Nautan plays a simple woman who despite being the owner of all the property is tortured by her husbands second wife, her son & the second wife's brother. Madhuri plays a spoiled little rich brat who doesn't know what she wants. The only person who delivered a good performance and made the film bearable was Anil. He did a fine job throughout the movie. Kader khan, Shakti Kapoor, Bindu & Gulshan Grover play their usual side roles. If you do have 2 hours to kill I would suggest avoiding this one. Giving 1/10 is pretty generous of me as this film does not even deserve that.
