Terrible script and story. Actors have no chemistry. I did not believe the couple one moment were into each other as intensely as the dialogue and situation asserts. I can see they were putting all they could into it, but something feels off.
Was there any director? The camera does nothing to accentuate the scenes at all. Point and shoot is what it feels like. Sets are uninspired. CGI automatically drops a movie's believability, so you'd better have the money to make it work well for you.
As a whole, it feels like a fan-made movie and true to form, most fan-made films miss the inspiration that created the original and end up focusing on what they think are the sensational parts. So, the movies are just how to get the characters in line for the kill. Shallow, boring shots, unnecessary dialogue and the creepers 'waking' up sequence? We could definitely have done without that. The mystery of where it goes, hibernates and wakes are a terrifying thought which has been ruined by this movie. Also, to show any creature having a cult and ritualized summoning places it under the control of it's prey=not scary. Especially when the ones summoning are usually lame character types. I cannot think of any movie where they are as scary as the thing called, and if there is one, I'd bet their storylines were done so well that it was deserving. Here, it comes off a lazy and non-creative.
A deep dive into the original should be enough to get a feel for what Salva's original though was for the Creeper. Not even two or 3 were as mind warping as the first.
This movie literally is like a copy of a copy of a copy making it thin, faded and something given with the understanding "it's not directly related, but you kinda can see where it came from".

Title tells it. A teenager becomes influenced to behave negatively towards her mother due to a new friend in her new school. The single mother takes notice of this change in her benevolent daughter and investigates this new girl that has aggressively befriended her and what she discovers shocks her to the core.
The script is not the best and the acting falls easily into a Hallmark show.. I personally am always happy to see Jeannie Garth in things. She always commits and it shows. She is easily the best in the character department, however, there isn't a lot given to work with, depth wise. It is an easy watch and perhaps if you've teenagers that are easily swayed by others to behave foolishly, this movie will serve as a "see what can happen if you do not think for yourself?" and " Bad company corrupts good morals".

Boring. Drab color scheme. Awful CGI. Terrible dialog and script. Acting is as good as the dialog. With so many decent movies to make, why make 3 when the first "remake" was at least decent. This is amateurish and insulting. A waste of time and money.
Do better. I finish everything. I did not finish this. It broke my stride.
