I knew this was going to be a kids show. But I didn't know that it would be this bad. The characters are all very annoying and cliched. And if I ever hear Captain Gundam say, "I have a permit to use my gun" in that wimpy little fruit voice of his. I'm going to go crazy. As a fan of the original SD Gundam MK shorts I was very disapointed in this new CG-animated lame-action kids show with awful humor.

Go watch the original SD Gundam shorts and be happy.

When I heard Seed was going to be a remake of the original Mobile Suit Gundam. I was a bit interested in seeing what would be done. Sadly, all I got was another Gundam Wing...

Most of the characters are gundam character cliches and highly annoying, especially Shinji Ikari wannabe Kira Yamato. All he does is whine about not wanting to fight, then goes into Seed rage killing everyone. Kruze isn't even worth calling a Char Clone, he's a Zech Merquise clone which is much worst...

The story of the series and the plot were the biggest failing points. For the first 13 episodes, were treated to A long boring, dragged out fight through space. What took the original 5 episodes to get down to Earth, it takes Seed 13 episodes. The for the next episodes, 14-28 we're treated to not only THREE CLIP SHOW EPISODES. But alternating episodes between ACTION! ACTION! FIGHT! and Boring, nothing happening... supposited character development episodes. And then Seed takes it's big turn for the worst, trying to be unique, by being violent, and action packed and killing off secondary characters in all out unrealistic combat that makes Wing look Tame.

This is one of the three worst Gundam shows i've seen. Why can't they make better AU series like Turn-A, Gundam X, and even G-Gundam? Those shows have much potential for continuity. But alas, Sunrise and Bandai are milking Gundam the best they can with this flashy animated, full of bad J-pop, overrated and over-hyped Gundam series. Just like Wing, I don't see how people enjoy this show. I guess most people only care about flashy animation and big explosions over good characters, and original plots these days.

Another show ruined by Studio Gonzo. FMP started off good with the first half of the series that was based on the original comic. But when Studio Gonzo started writing their own plot lines into the show, it turned into another one of their wasted and over-rated shows. The characters are all typical anime cliches and plot lines. But the good animation, music, and the first 12 episodes serve as the shows only saving grace. Hint of advice, forget about the 2nd half of the series, it just serves to disapoint... Still it's an alright series, but Mediocre at best.

I don't see how people enjoy this rip-off plot, cookie cutter character, dullard of a show that lives off the Gundam name. The shows characters are one-dimensional and cliched pretty boys and girls. Although I think the characters look ugly with they're big noses and stiff eyes... The music is typical synth Background Music, and the animation is rather dull and rehashed a lot.

The shows plot follows as following: Pretty Boy Wannabes fight, and fight, and strike cool poses in over-powerful mechs and try to be melo-dramatic in a show with way to many characters for it's own good. The show almost tries to put in everything from every Universal Century Gundam series before it.

If your going to watch Gundam, watch Universial Century Gundam, or some of the better AU series like Gundam X and Turn-A Gundam.

Zeta Gundam is what true Mecha Anime should be. Drama and politcal intrigue in a futuristic setting done just the right way. The characters are very real and human. Camille, Emma, and Quatro(Char) are three of my all time favorite anime characters. Each of them fighting for thier own reasons in the sad and harsh war around them. And Bask Om and Paptiums Scirroco are two of best villians as well. Bask is a evil and cruel Tyrant with Jamitov and Paptimus is a clever and intriguing genius of a character. The story is very sad, but also has some of best action and character development in a mecha show ever. There so many times when an event happened that I was put into shock. Tomino's nick name "Kill-em All!" truly shines through in Zeta Gundam.

Forget those mediorce overly melo-dramatic Gundam shows Seed and Wing. Zeta Gundam is where the true namesake lies!
