Silver Linings Playbook
(2012)

Hilarious Romance
This movie was great. Great acting by Cooper, Lawrence, De Niro & even Tucker. O. Russell did a great job directing this movie.

Pat & Tiffany are just two characters who the audience can find themselves attached to and can also learn a thing or two from. They are funny and relatable in more ways than one might think that they are.

I've been seeing people say that it's a boring movie, but honestly, if you find the patience for it, you will eventually begin to understand the film. Along with if you've read and enjoyed the novel by Matthew Quick.

Moving along, the performances of De Niro and Tucker were very realistic and attachable. Cooper & Lawrence did the most phenomenal jobs trying to beat one another in who is the most mental. Altogether this was an excellent film that I would recommend being watched by people of all ages. Although starting off slow in the beginning, it proved itself otherwise.

The Blair Witch Project
(1999)

No.
I feel as though this movie had gotten gassed too much. Yes, it was one of the first documentary style horror films that was evolving around the supernatural beings. However, it was also one of the worst. The acting in this was simply annoying. I understand that it was supposed to be some type of found footage of some sort and as though they all disappeared and some hikers found this tape and decided to edit it and put it out to the public, but it was trying too hard to focus on them being themselves that there was no type of acting ability within it at all. This movie was only given a 5/10 solely because it was the first of its kind. Yet, everything else about this film, was not as good as everyone had claimed it to be. In my opinion, if you would like to see where all of the present day 'documentary style footage' originated, I would watch this film just to get some history down packed. But, if you're watching this movie just to watch a movie, I wouldn't recommend this one. Unless you're up for a supposed "scary" movie with horrible acting.

The Hangover Part II
(2011)

Not like the first
This movie was still pretty hilarious although it was a completely different story plot with the same scenario from the first one. Bradley Cooper, in my opinion, can turn any movie around just from his acting skills. Galifianakis was his usual hilarious self along with Helms and Jeong. The only disappointment that had came out of the film was pretty much the fact that they had used the same scenario from the first Hangover movie. You would think that the director would like to go with a different type of storyline, but I guess this was the one that he was sticking to. Along with it being the easiest to come up with as well.

This movie was more than the average comedy film that you would see, but it's lack of good story structure was an issue.  I'm not going to lie and say that I didn't laugh at this film, because I did, it's just that it could've went in another direction.

It's claimed a movie that you either hate or love, but I simply find myself in the middle of not liking it because it really went nowhere, and loving it because it was hilarious. I would tell you to give it a try before continuing to read the rest of the reviewers ratings. Try it for yourself and find out how you like it before determining to stay away from it or not.

Love Me Tender
(1956)

Here We Go... The Stiffness
So, Elvis is in movies... I'm pretty sure that became a popular line when this film came out.  I decided to give this film a try seeing that the King of Rock N Roll was starring in it. Man, was I wrong for making that decision. There was no great acting skills in this film from Elvis. The others were copacetic enough to make the movie pass, but Elvis... It was like he was acting the way that he was singing. He didn't have any type of flow to him, he wasn't loosened enough, he seemed like he was just so stiff.  I like the whole "let's put Elvis in a movie & make it a western one at that" type of theme that they tried to portray, but it honestly wasn't working out for them. He should've just stayed with the soundtrack on this one. Can't say that this is one of my favorites.

Killing Season
(2013)

Why?
Man, this movie killed me. It's was really painful to watch. I'm not sure if it were entirely to blame on how annoying Travolta's character was or trying to figure out why De Niro even took this role. This movie had so much wrong with it. First off, Travolta is still angry about his near death experience that happened years ago, so he's out for revenge. De Niro is just old and lives out in the middle of the absolute forest, with a family that's just dying to visit, but continuously refuses. In my opinion, this movie is way too scattered around. The fight scenes were iffy and the ending was no where near good. This really makes me wonder of they just took this job just to get out of the house or something. Both are really great actors, obviously. Yet, it didn't show in this film. I plainly found Travolta annoying, especially with that accent and De Niro was not attachable, which doesn't happen a lot. They were only pretty much asked to play their roles because they are well known and exceptional actors. I would honestly save yourself the headache and time and just avoid this movie. It'll do you great good.

Butcher Boys
(2012)

You are not what you eat.
This movie was terrible. For starters, you could clearly see how fake the back drop of the Space Needle in Seattle was, they were in some phony abandoned town, the cops for some reason knew about the crimes happening, but decided to be against it and the rest, is just pitiful. Who in their right minds would think that this movie is scary? It was no were near frightening. It was beyond horrible. They should make a perfect place in hell for this movie.  The characters sucked majorly, as if they were only getting paid in Bitcoins, there was some strange monster thing that just kept making sounds and that whole town was just unrealistic. The reviewers who are saying that this movie was great, must be a relative of the cast member or a staff from the movie. Do not give in, it's a terrible film, STAY AWAY FROM IT. I find it hilarious how even the director commented on my tweet about how terrible it was. I think he even knows it was a piece of crap.

Texas Chainsaw 3D
(2013)

"Do your thing cuz"
You've got to be kidding with me on this movie. When they said that they were making a remake, I knew that it was going to be different, but I didn't think idiotic.  It was obvious that they only put Trey Songz in it to get more money from his fans. The whole "hot brunette with no knowledge of her family" plot is getting old and critically hurt the movie.  The gore was alright, it didn't serve much justice in helping the film out. There were parts of the movie where you could actually see that the bodies of her friends were clearly dummies, as if they didn't even care to try editing it enough.  In the end this movie proved to be what I thought it would be, a disappointment. Avoid this movie if you haven't already viewed it.

Misery
(1990)

Greatest Stephen King Adaptation
Right off the bat, I loved this movie. I've read this book over and over again and had been longing to see the movie for some time. First off, Kathy Bates did an extraordinary job. I knew even from before I saw the movie that she was playing the role of Annie and she fit the role perfectly. James Caan also did an amazing job in portraying Paul Sheldon.

This movie was great in showing true horror. Something that people can actually feel for themselves, no monsters, nothing paranormal, just old-fashioned horror. Bates did one of her finest performances for this movie. I wouldn't have wanted it directed any other way. Rob Reiner did an outstanding job in turning the novel into a remarkable film.

Supernatural
(2005)

Gives Me Life!!!
This TV show is the best one I've seen in years. Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles & Misha Collins are outstanding. This TV show is a great "Supernatural" show! They hunt everything ! From Demons, Angels (bad), Leviathans and a wide variety of monsters.

Sam, Dean, and Castiel are the best at what they do. I love how they don't just stick to the monsters. There's a storyline and it's like, if you miss an episode, you will be lost when the next comes out. Since it's a family thing and they're brothers and all, it picks up from the last episode so we can see what happened the last time and what happening now.

The cast couldn't have been any stronger than what it is now. It's sad to see that season 10 will be their back door season. Although to me, season 1-7 were their best years. Now that they're closing everything down, it's like they're not trying anymore. But it's still a very good show that I recommend for everyone to watch.

The Silence of the Lambs
(1991)

Remarkable
Jonathan Demme is awesome. This movie is an outstanding, suspenseful thriller. It's a must see for people who love this genre. It's definitely a cult classic that will be added to my favorites.

Jodie Foster as Starling and Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter. They both plays their parts really well. Lecter as the cannibalistic psychopath who slowly helps Foster try to find a serial killer who is skinning his victims and Foster as the FBI agent trying to solve the case. This film was a great one, it had it's extremely creepy moments, and left me wanting to watch it all over again.

Must see this movie. It's one of those movies that gets even better as it progresses.

Rain Man
(1988)

Great
Dustin Hoffman, off the record, was the best actor in this film. Tom Cruise, of course, is an amazing actor, but Hoffman took all the spotlight.

This is about how Charlie Babbitt (Cruise) found out after his father died, that he had a brother, Raymond (Hoffman), in which his father left a fortune to and only gave an upset Charlie not what he "deserved". Charlie then finds out that Raymond has autism and they end up traveling cross country.... Would continue but it would be a spoiler.

Any who, this movie was great. I've never seen better acting then what Hoffman did in this film. He was outstanding playing an autistic 'Rain Man'. His movements all the way down to the things that he would say were outstanding. This is an amazing film. I recommend it to everyone.

Casino
(1995)

Scorsese the Legend
This man is one of the best directors around! His work is phenomenal, and his choice in characters is illustrious.

Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, and Joe Pesci were extraordinary ! They played their parts so well. I've seen this film numerous times, I've lost count years ago! It's a must see film for mafia/gangster movie fans!

Martin Scorsese did it once again, I loved GoodFellas and Taxi Driver just as much as I loved this movie. He is an amazing director who should be awarded for every movie he made. He's that good at what he does. It's sad to see that Pesci is no longer acting because he was really good at playing these roles.

God Bless Martin Scorcese!

Paranoia
(2013)

ADD took over.
MThis movie could not keep my attention. I'm normally a person who will sit still for a good movie, but if it's boring, my ADD will start to kick in. Liam Hemsworth is a good actor, along with Ford and Oldman, why they chose this movie is beyond me. It's one of those movies that you leave on in the background while you're cleaning up the house.  I think that Hemsworth was just eye candy, while Oldman and Ford were just supposed to try to make movie buffs and critics just want to each their work. We already know that Chris Hemsworth is a better actor than his brother is and I'm pretty sure they wanted him more than Liam.

Don't get me wrong, I think Liam is a copacetic actor, was he is this film? Eh! He could've done better. The story structure was weak and shallow and needed more work. In the beginning I had to keep rewinding it to try to re-understand what the hell they were talking about.

This movie must've not done that well, seeing that it was on Netflix faster than it got taken out of theaters. I gave it a try.. Didn't really pay attention to everything that went on. I believe that it could've bee better if the director would've taken more time with it, or sold it to a different director.

Gangster Squad
(2013)

Cliché.. OK
I could've sworn that I saw this movie before... But better. A crime lord who is taking over Hollywood(land) is pretty much unstoppable... Wait for it.. Until the police chief decides to put together a team of cops to stop him in his tracks. Yeah, I've seen this before, just a bit better.

Josh Brolin, I'm a fan of. Along with Sean Penn and Ryan Gosling. The other characters on the other hand were pretty descent except for Anthony Mackie. That whole, black cop working with white cops in the 50s , is historically incorrect. That would not have been allowed back then. I'm not saying that he didn't play his part well, because he did. I'm saying that they shouldn't have casted him to play that part. No, actually, there shouldn't have even been a part like that in the plot.

This movie was rated a 7 for me. I liked the action and the eye candy. Like I said, it's a cliché movie. You've more than likely have seen a movie like this in the past, unless you're just some teenage girl who wanted to see Ryan Gosling with a gun in his hand.

World War Z
(2013)

New Unrated Cut
I watched the New Unrated Cut version of this movie and it was really good. I was shocked at how many negative reviews it got, which was simply because most people watched the regular version. The Unrated version had a better explanation in the end and it wasn't futile like the one that came out in theaters.

On the other hand, Brad Pitt did a good job, as usual, in this film. Although I was kind of lost to how you could get infected by a bite (normal), but if it gets into your mouth, you're fine. I mean, I know it was rabies, but still. Right? Also, I didn't understand how there was already a lot of noise being made in the inner city: Buses coming in and out, helicopters flying around, police cars etc... But it was the singing that made the zombies go even crazier an build a ladder like wall to cross over?

It was a good movie, don't get me wrong, I just think that it could've been thought about more carefully and re-edited. If you watch this movie, I'd recommend watching the Unrated Cut version. The story will probably make more sense, unlike the theatrical one which will probably leave you wanting your money back.

Battleship
(2012)

Who's next in command?... You are sir!
Taylor Kitsch did really well in this movie. The topic 'Aliens' is not what I usually prefer, but the special effects, and heavy artillery use and ships were just fascinating me. Liam Neeson was phenomenal although in the outside. I think that if he would've been inside, the movie in General would've been different. Alexander Skarsgård was only in it for a short period of time but during that time he do exceptionally well.

This movie was about aliens and how they invaded the planet and then tried to make contact with their world. Basically ET phoning home. Like I said, it's not something that I would normally watch but considering the characters, I thought, hey, what the heck.

All in all this movie gave people insight on how Navy ships actually operate on the inside. I wouldn't say that everything was completely accurate in this film but it was still a good movie.

Lone Survivor
(2013)

Intense and Touching
Phenomenal! That's one of the many words to explain this movie. Based on a true story, which is the saddest part of this film. The audience already knows what the inevitable ending will be because of the title.

The characters were spot on. The Navy Seals: Wahlberg, Kitsch, Hirsch and Foster played their roles brilliantly. They acted so well that it seemed as if they were actually there, experiencing the action head on in real life. They all play their roles very carefully. Knowing that they have to play someone who was real and endured all of those events. Although Wahlberg was the lead, Kitsch took all of the stardom from playing the fearless captain.

Although outnumbered by Taliban forces, the men put up a tough fight, all the way through to the end... Well of their lives. They all died with honor. The shootout sequence was filled with brutality, gore and heartbreaking scenes. It had the audience at the edge of their seat. Made them feel as if they could feel their pain through the screen.

By the end of the film, it makes you appreciate not only the Navy Seals, but the other military people who are out there risking their lives as we sit here and not think anything about them. This was a heart racing film that will have an everlasting effect on myself personally.

When the pictorial came at the end of the movie, it kind of brought the audience back to reality. To let them know that these men were real, they had families too, and they risked their lives to save their fellow Seals.

Jack the Giant Slayer
(2013)

Classic Twist
This movie, in my perspective, was amazing. I don't understand all of the negative comments. It's the 21st century ! All of the fairy tales have some sort of major plot twist (Snow White & the Huntsman, Oz the Great & Powerful). And they all turned out to be great.

This movie had the characters and plot structure on point. The special effects were not overdone and it gave people the imagination needed for a film about human hungry giants. The story tries to remain classic, but of course there was a twist involved.

Although a little shy of two hours, it kept the audience at the edge of their seats. I recommend watching this movie with an open mind. I was really startled to see so many negative revues.

Charm
(2012)

Hilarious B-list Movie
This movie was taken to a whole new level. Ashley Cahill might have been the writer/director but he was an amazing lead. I normally wouldn't want to watch these type of serial killer tries to get all of his crimes on tape type of movies, but this one was exceptional!

The supporting actors were great, they were funny, surprisingly could act, and at some times had their own type of crimes that they had to commit.

This movie had a copacetic story structure and kept me interested throughout the entire film. It's not a horror film so there's nothing to be afraid of, it's just a funny, psycho wants peace thriller. Well done Cahill.

I strongly recommend watching on Netflix if bored or just want a little laugh.

Gangs of New York
(2002)

God Bless Scorcese !
This movie was spectacular! The casting was amazing! Me being a huge Leonardo DiCaprio fan, thought that he was a brilliant cast for Amsterdam Vallon, Day-Lewis played the notorious Bill the Butcher and did a phenomenal job and lastly Cameron Diaz showed how she can play in movies that are much more than just standard romantic comedies.

The violence and gore was prodigious, and although shy of three hours long, it will keep you interested. It was all, for the most part, pretty accurate. There were a few anachronisms, but what historical movie doesn't have any?

In conclusion, Martin Scorcese once again did an amazing job. He is one of my favorite directors, and definitely think that he should've gotten an Oscar for this amazing piece of art !

Oculus
(2013)

An Alright Movie
You'd think by the commercials that it would be a good horror movie, seeing that there hasn't been one since the first Insidious. This, of course, was one of those movies that promotes scary commercials, but never keeps their word.  The plot was different. That's what was interesting about it. It had its moments that made me jump a little, but the ending ruined the entire movie. There was no closure, now his entire family was dead and he was on his way back to prison. Seriously?!

The characters were copacetic. They're weren't any kind of big time actors. Except that Thwaites looks too much like Jared Padalecki from Supernatural and it would've been nice if he would've acted like him as well.

Not something I'd recommend spending my money on, I'd just wait until they got onto cable if you have it.

Mama's Foot
(2007)

WTF Did I Just Watch??
This movie was just... Awful ! I wish I could've given it a review of 0/10! Wtf did I just watch?

For the love of Jesus, please kill all of these people! None of them can act, the plot structure was just terrible, it got even worse than it was as the movie continued. I hate how I keep finding myself on the retarded part of Netflix! Why was this even created? To show how people who can't act can still make it onto Netflix? Was this a test of some sort? It's like they filmed this entire film or wannabe film with an android camera phone and in the hood. People like this need to stop, this was one of the worst movies ever made & believe me, I've seen movies with rappers in it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FILM. You can already tell that it's bad by looking at the cast on here and the picture they used as the cover... Just stop.

Goodfellas
(1990)

God Bless Martin Scorsese
This movie was phenomenal! All of the lead roles were superb! Liotta, De Niro, Sorvino, Pesci & Bracco. Scorsese couldn't have chosen a better cast.  Ray Liotta played the Henry Hill perfectly, there couldn't have been anyone else better to play him. De Niro did another great mafia performance since The Untouchables and Pesci fit the role perfectly as Tommy, the wild guy with serious mental issues.

Scorsese is a phenomenal director and his work here is outstanding. He should've gotten the award for Beat Director in this film, sadly he didn't. No other director can pull off a movie as good as this one.

Overall, this movie is a must see cult-classic that ages like good scotch. It gets better as it gets older! It is one of the greatest true story films told on screen and is a definite must see movie!

Jack the Reaper
(2011)

Terrible B-list Movie With Tony Todd
Why would you make a film where nothing occurs within the first 60 minutes? I can see that the directors are trying to show the character development, but in a horror film, it should never take this long to show a characters development. It's a slasher script! Get to the slashing!

The entire 90 minutes was crucial! You could spot the twisted ending from a mile away! The plot was also unrealistic. What group of teenage kids go to a museum what seems to be in the middle of nowhere to study the industrial revolution? Then on the way home the bus breaks down and they encounter a maniac with an pick axe? .. Kill me now!

It sounds like a regular teen slasher but is really hard to stick with until the idiotic ending. It's like the whole cast was only in it for exchange of Bitcoins... There is no gore or nudity. The only type of blood in this is the blood splattered on the camera, which was clearly from visual effects. It never shows the reaper actually killing anyone and tries to take the slow walking, I'm chasing you scenes from Friday the 13th.

This is definitely a B-list movie that shouldn't have ever made it to HBO. It should've been on Sy-Fy or Chiller.  Do not waste your time watching this. Life is too short to spend watching crap movies such as this one.

Zombie Night
(2013)

I want that time wasted back !
This movie was an absolute train wreck! When you start rooting for the zombies, that's how you know you could care less about any of the characters surviving.

Their choice in characters... They picked the best not to star in the best? Is that what we do know? Anthony Michael Hall ... Loved him way better when he played the nerd and geek (Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles). It's as if he was money hungry so he played this role. Darryl Hannah... Way better playing Elle (Kill Bill Vols). And lastly Shirley Jones, who was given such a bad script that I was actually rooting for a zombie to kill her. Why would any of these actors even take an offer that had to deal with Syfy?

I mean, what kind of movie was this anyways? This didn't even fit the cliché version of zombies nor the modernized versions! This movie got more and more frustrating as it went on. I strongly recommend not watching this movie, for life is too short for these types of movies to even consider watching.
