Boudica
(2003)

Made 20 years ago....
... and I see it for the first time. So great to see Alex Kingston outside her comfort sone (?). I thoroughly enjoyed this film, but you have to see it tung i cheek. See it for what it is - a B film that may or may not have taken itself seriously.

True, its a lot of killing, blood and gore, and it may not be historically correct. What do I know, I am Norwegian and know more about vikings than Boudica. But I dont really care. I had a great time watching this flik. If you like oldies of a dubious character, you should give it a peak.

A young Emily is there as well in her youthfulness. How can you resist all of this ?

Walk with Me
(2021)

A surprise worth seeing.
Absolutely a film worth seeing. Just stumbled over it and am so happy I did. A kind of coming of age for a thirty-year-old. And I liked that the husband was portrayed respectfully. The two leads are excellent as are the script and photography. Yeah - I liked it a lot.

Don't Look Up
(2021)

What a mess.
Cate Blanchett has done some great movies in her time - then she does this sorry so called comedy. You really must be American to even like this mess. So sorry I tried seeing it.

The Wheel of Time
(2021)

With an open mind - just fun.
This was fun - bloody but fun. If you like fairy tales that has monsters instead og fairies, this is where you want to be. Well put together, well acted and beautiful scenery. Two episodes in - I love it :))

Stella Blómkvist
(2017)

Entertaining. Not more than that.
To rate a series that is this basic. That ticks most boxes of entertainment, but at the same time is totally unbelievable to be true. This was hard. Island is a country of 350000 people. Right.

But that they are this corrupt is hard to believe, considering the bank crises of 2008. You would have thought they would have learned something.

What this series is is a female figure that poses as a police DI. She does everything but law, still being an attorney. But I found it entertaining enough for 7. But I am Norwegian, I might be biased.

Vigil
(2021)

Male supremacy rules.
I give up ! 2021 and males revolt to females being in leads. All those bad reviews I suspect stems from males not handling it right. OK. A lot lag behind. Look at the Taliban. It is TV !!! Get a grip.

The Light Touch
(2021)

Wow. So bad !
I have seen 1000s of films with lesbian themes, and this one was really the worst one yet. Badly acted, no plot except running around in some streets of some city. That paired with the testosterone that runs though this muck, makes this a very waste of time !

Alien Conquest
(2021)

Is it possible to make this in 2021 ?
What a dumb movie. But than again Americans are scared of their own shadow so why not this crap. Badly scripted, acted and shot.

The World to Come
(2020)

Blown away !
What do I take from this film, besides that Vanessa Kirby as a redhead is a picture of perfection, is that the present and the past are not far apart. Once and now goes hand in hand, and please don't forget that what happened "long ago" is not so far from you today. Loved the film, the actors, the production. Thank you.

T11 Incomplete
(2020)

Dysfunctionality......
Just saw it and as much as I hated Karen Sillas in Stuff, I loved her in T11. Never expecting to actually even like the film, it has stayed with me - in a good way. Sillas is doing a great job as dysfunctional human being and all cudos to her. It is really worth the watch.

I Care a Lot
(2020)

All reviews written by Amerticans !
After having to scroll through numbers of 1 reviews, I found it time to write one myself. This was not a bad film. It showed a reality that most Americans deny - a faulty society. That might be a hard pill to swallow for those who still think Trump won. But this film shows a lot. Firstly - loopholes in law, secondly - desolvement of families, thirdly - possibilities to enter criminal behavior within the boundries of society. Hard to watch for not Americans. Must be hell for Americans to think about. I enjoyed the film and would recommend it :)

Nomadland
(2020)

USA today !
Such a sad film, yet such a true film. USA is such a new country, yet everything that can go wrong has. Nice people, sure, but in hardness of time nice is not there is it. I feel sorry for America. I feel sorry for all its dead, for all its mislead, for all its misinformed. Thanks for a film that broke my hart.

To the Stars
(2019)

Redneck sentiments !
That was a memorable film. But why are American movies obsessed with past time ? Is it for lack of forseable future ? This film did something tho. It never took sides. It showed reality at all its bleakest levels. And it was brimming over of redneck sentiments. No wonder the US is such a shambles. Great film. Loved it !

The Prom
(2020)

What did I just watch ?
At the eve of 2020 comes this musical from Hollywood that proves all of the US politics. In one piece of film. I acclaim the actors in it. Loved the music. Absolutely not bad But why Indiana ? All the red states are the same rot and the Trump is as infantile as ever with their blessing. But just to have a song celebrating lesbians is so about time. Can't give you 10, but 8 is more than ok. PS. Stop dissing on James Cordon - he was great - almost gay :))

Hanna
(2011)

Wanted to check out a young Saoirse Ronan
....and what didi I find - this masterpice. Not as a film per say, but definitely Ronan as the actor she has become and always was. So many sour bellied reviews on this film, so many know-it-alls, so many false premises for writing a review. Forgetting what a performance this girl gives. So be it. This is Ronans film and I just love it.

El embarcadero
(2019)

This series belong to Irene Arcos.
Apart from the violence, I loved this serie. The two women was great, but Irene Arcos stole the show. Really enjoyrd it !

Summerland
(2020)

A wonderful film
Everybody in this film was just great. Gemma Arterton, as always delivers. To me - it's a 10.

Torden
(2020)

Norrøn Mythology...????
No matter how you look at this film, it is entertaining. Being Norwegian I watch it as that - Norwegian. What I saw was an honorable effort to make a countable film. It did not reach all the way. To me, it failed at all the references to christianity, and the prolonged slow pace. Also - it stressed the religious part too much. But I did appreciate the mountains, fjords and waterfalls. So - you made Trolls, now this - not so good - good luck with your next film.

Killing Eve
(2018)

So tired of violence.
I am not taking away any of Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh's skills in this series. They are doing a wonderfull job. BUT, I am so tired of the violence, the views of how little a human life is worth, the Amiricanism of what people want. I am sick of it. Goodbye this series !!

The Half of It
(2020)

All the negative reviews put to shame.
I keep reading reviews of this film where people says it is not a lesbian film. What the heck is a lesbian film ? What views a lesbian film ? To me, this is definatly a lesbian film as it is a universal film of growing up as a human. Lesbians are not different. And it is so low-brow to define anybody to be anything you are not to demean them. This is a refreshing film with a glorious lead in Leah Lewis as Ellie. Just see it. A feel-good movie 100 % !!

Radioactive
(2019)

Just great.
Great storytelling, great cinography, music - and above all: Rosamund Pike. She's done great work all along in her carriere, and tops it by this preformance. I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews on here, we must not have seen the same film. Just see iit and judge for yourself. It is more than worth your time.

Between Two Women
(2003)

Can we go somewhere ?
A wonderful rendition of short time ago. Just loved it

Ich will Dich
(2014)

Somehow something got lost.
Somehow womanhood got viewed by manhood. A love story, sure, but all in the limits of how men thinks women loves. Fiers. like them, without thinking, like them. Lesbian love can be both of that, but different. This film did not catch that. But, ok, I enjoyed it ;))

Gentleman Jack
(2019)

Ann Lister - good to know you !
First "The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister " - 2010 with Maxine Peake as Anne -than there was a documentary narrated by Sue Perkins about Anne Lister. And now Genteleman Jack. I'm in love with all of them. And Suranne Jones portraits a wonderful Anne. At episode 8 there where enough cliffhangers for a season 2. So - I'm waiting :))

Tell It to the Bees
(2018)

A great couple in not so far past.
I would like to answer "SadnessNeverGoes" who in 139 words, 8 punctuations and no capital letters whatsoever ecxept the first word "Is", gave it a 2. Are you liveing in the same time as me ? It might not be a masterpiece - I read the book, and it contained much more of the reality of the times, but the film also contains an awareness that the book lacked. I liked it. I did not like "SadnessNeverGoes".
