As California members of The Sons of the Desert, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are ordered to attend the convention in Chicago. Stan is afraid to take the oath in case his wife forbids him. Instead, Oliver's dominating wife insists that he goes to the mountain with her. He pretends to be sick and gets a fake doctor to prescribe a trip to Honolulu.
Laurel and Hardy are great. They are in fine form. The pacing of the comedy is a little slower than modern ones. That is not unexpected. In many ways, this is the guys doing their best forms. They are husbands trying to get one over their wives and fail poorly. They do many of their lines and gags. It's also in the United States Library of Congress.

Pepper Flynt Busbee is an 8 year old boy living in O'Hare, California. He is a runt and bullied by all the kids. He is derisively called Little Boy. He loves his father (Michael Rapaport) and protected by his mother (Emily Watson). When WWII breaks out, his older brother London is eager to join, but gets rejected. Instead, his father joins up. He is desperate to bring his father home who is declared missing in action. Hashimoto (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) is a hated local Japanese man who managed to avoid the internment camps. Father Oliver (Tom Wilkinson) gives Pepper a list to do as a way to bring his father back. One of the task is to befriend Hashimoto.
I believe that this is Christian film. It is sincere despite some magical surreal plot elements. The movie is more messy than it needs to be. For example, this doesn't need that much dad in it. He loves his father. Enough said. Also, I don't know about the titled idea. I am sure that people cheered on the bombing, but placing the celebrational climax on a WMD is problematic at best. I still don't know why Hashimoto isn't in an internment camp. That should be spelled out. This movie is doing a lot and not all of it well thought out.

This is a specialized FBI squad assigned to capture America's most wanted led by Jess LaCroix (Julian McMahon). It is the first spinoff of FBI franchise from creator Dick Wolf. Supervisory Special Agent Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott) takes over in the middle of the third season.
This is a solid spinoff from Dick Wolf's FBI show. It is a good procedural and what one expects from Dick. I like Julian McMahon, but there is no denying that Dylan McDermott is better. Dylan has made a career out of the leader of a cop or legal procedural. While this is good, it isn't anything new or original. Dick keeps churning them out.
