Dr. Janet Evans (Tiffany) dismisses Dr. James Garland's warning from his AI computer program. His prediction comes true. Evans suggests that he reunite with his estranged sister Dr. Erica Garland and work on the system together.
This is The Asylum. Maybe people will click on the wrong Twisters movie. The CGI special effects are poor, but I have no other expectations. The science is worst. Other than the bad CGI and stock footage, there isn't much action. This is all pretty bad. Honestly, I did not recognize Tiffany at first. To be fair, I don't remember seeing her for the last thirty years. I don't know any of the other actors. They're fine, but nobody is memorable. This is so bland that I wouldn't waste time making fun of it.

Ingrid (Julianne Moore) is a successful writer. She is surprised to learn that a friend from her past, Martha (Tilda Swinton), is the hospital for cancer. They haven't seen each other for awhile.
Filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar is doing an English language film. It has some of his style. Mostly, this is about the greatness of the two lead actresses. I find it fascinating that these characters are not the BFFs that most movies would want them to be. There is a tension there. They don't know the others' deepest secrets and one is left wondering about them. Almodóvar is diving into a slightly different pool. Instead of sexuality, this is mostly about mortality. Most importantly, the lead actresses deliver.

The New Republic has risen after the fall of the Empire. In some places, pirates have ravaged civilian transports. The New Republic is spread thin. On a protected planet, Wim is a young boy who only wants to be a Jedi and gets ridiculed for it. Fern is a rebellious student with her friend KB. Along with Wim's friend Neel, the four kids get trapped on an abandoned spaceship. They accidentally fly off into space and get lost. They are befriended by Force-powered Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law).
This Star Wars limited series is doing something that I've been looking for. It's a story from a small part of the universe without a direct connection to the main story. It's not needed homework for the next show or movie. It does pile on a lot of classic tropes. I'm here for it. I'm here for the kids on space bikes. I'm here for space pirates. I'm here for a powered Jude Law. This works especially as a limited series. It has its fun and leaves the stage right away.
