In Paris, Alice is frustrated and is contemplating to leave her husband. Her elderly friend Dr. Dulac tells her the story of Madelon Claudet (Helen Hayes). Her American boyfriend Larry Maynard is a struggling artist with no prospects. He goes home to visit his sick father, but marries another woman instead. Meanwhile, Madelon gives birth to their son. She has to turn to her elderly friend Count Carlos, but his secret sends her to prison.
Helen Hayes wins an Oscar for delivering an expansive performance in her debut. Her character goes through a lot and a lot of time. The plot can feel rushed from all the time passing. The running times were shorter back then also. It's a lot of story to jam into a 75 minute movie.

Scooby-Doo and his friends are continuing their teenage investigation team. Each episode has a guest star which could be celebrities or fictional characters from Hanna Barbera or DC or WB or public domain.
This is classical animated Scooby-Doo. It is a little cleaner. I do notice that the characters showing the background underneath in one episode. The main difference are the guest stars. The quality does vary from episode to episode. The best is the Sean Astin episode where he makes fun of the Rings. They should try to do stuff like that. For example, Lucy Liu should make fun of Charlie's Angels. They have two other girls right there. I love the Scooby-Doo franchise and this one follows the form nicely.

This is a documentary of the Canadian band, Blue Rodeo. Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor are friends since high school. Greg first hears Jim's singing at a mutual friend's funeral. After university, the duo decides to spend a year doing the music thing. The rest is history.
Everybody likes each other. That is the big takeaway. There is some drama but limited conflicts. Mostly, this is a story of brotherly love and nice Canadians playing music together. They are one of my favorites. I assume that this is only compelling for fans. Most people outside of Canada wouldn't know this band or get that much from this. It's for their fans.
