Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works
(2014)

Dumb, entertaining show
This show is the first anime I can call a guilty pleasure. As many may know at this point, this show looks gorgeous, the action scenes specially are breath-taking and the overall animation is top notch, the concept is... interesting, I guess. And, the most important thing about it (for me at least) is that it's entertaining as f*ck.

And it's not an small thing, there's a lot of "bad" with this series, like the rules of the "game" that can be bend by... anyone basically. Or the bland, stereotyped, absolutely imbecile characters that conform the protagonist and the main characters (Masters, mainly), and the-sometimes-predictable-plot of the overarching story. But the animation, action and charisma from a couple of Servants make the show somewhat worth it.

Is not great, at all. But the way it is able to make itself watchable by having a great look, OK music and a few really interesting characters is an achievement by itself. I can recommend it, just have fun.

The Words
(2012)

Almost killed myself
I came to this movie knowing nothing of what this movie was about. And by god, I should've inform myself. The cast is constituted with talented actors/actresses and a beautiful camera work, but, even with the already mentioned gifted professionals, this film felt incredibly uninspired and stupid, with such a wasted potential. And I consider worth mentioning that the core premise of this piece of crap (an old man accusing an author from stealing his unpublished job) is really similar to the one a thrilling short novel named "Secret Window, Secret Garden" had, found on the compilatory book Four Past Midnight, from Stephen King, published in 1990. I know that this can lead to a good movie, or in other case, a good rip off. Non of the before mentioned is the case, both Secret Window (2004) and The Words are a waste of time.

By the way, I apologize for any misspellings on the orthography.

Under the Dome
(2013)

Horrible, disgusting adaptation
I read the Under the Dome book some years ago, and it was a bit disappointing compared to other Stephen King novels, but I still enjoy the hell out of it. So, when I get to know that finally there was about to be a TV-series long enough to cover the right amount of details that the book had, naturally the excitement was high.

Then I saw the first season. The acting is regular to really bad, the special effects are good and some of the photography is stunning, but the overall product is so incredibly boring that I asked myself how I enjoyed a book in which this crap is based on. That's the main problem with it, is boring no matter how many issues you put on each character.

I'm sorry for any misspellings.

Evangelion Shin Gekijôban: Kyu
(2012)

What the f*ck?!
Seriously, what happened? I enjoyed Evangelion 1.0 and loved it's sequel, but in the third installment of the Rebuilt saga, something went wrong. The plot is everywhere, sometimes straight up and the next second some sort of really weird metaphor (if there's a metaphor and no just some random thing that they thought it could make the movie look "smarter"). The characters have absolutely no built up, when in the first one Shinji became a cool character by the end and, in 2.0, Asuka developed her personality in a majestic way.

The only couple of things I can save from this movie are the soundtrack, which is glorious and the piano scene. The rest was a bunch of semi-well done action scenes with too much CGI and... red.

By the way, I apologize for any misspelling.

Time Lapse
(2014)

Interesting premise, so-so execution
I love time travel movies, or films that treat themes related with time itself. So I was a little bit hyped.

The flick isn't terrible, it is well acted for the most part, the tension was surprisingly high by the end and the idea is good enough. But the characters are flat and their behavior is extremely predictable.

And the party scene is laughable, I'll just say that. See it for yourself. In the other hand, even if i have a predictable plot twist, the ending is really good, it made the movie for me.

By the way, I apologize for any spelling errors.
