I've seen the original so many times, this added some good story and a very happy ending compared to original and if Tim burton didn't do the cgi and his style dumbo would have been so weird so thank good for Tim burton. This movie made me cry like 3 times and dumbo was just simply adorable without looking stupid. I'm glad they didn't do a mouse as dumbo trainer and storms to deliver yet this did a nice homage to them. Was weird to see Michael Keaton as the bad guy and Danny as the good guy for once. This movie has story, soul, realism with just enough magic. I've very picky for remakes of old movies I hold dear. Was sad the elephant fly song was gone but I understand they didn't make a musical with this one. I suggest you watch this if your lookin for a good live action Disney from your childhood
