A waste of talent when't into this piece of garbage. How could Meredith Baxter and the rest of the cast participate in the making of this film,makes me wonder. I saw the film,airline disaster for sale on Amazon.com. 22.95 plus postage and handling. I would not pay 22 cents. If this show up in any rental shops or stores,avoid it like the plague. The special effects in this film were so cheap, and the action scenes,one agent disarms all the highjackers,I think their were 10 of them,and all of them got through the security points with their guns. The photography was bad,to be truthful,their is nothing I can say good about this film. Avoid it.

Continuation of the mini-series,H20. Canada has joined the U.S. Canada has been divided up into six states. As for the former prime minister,Tom McLaughlin,things did not go the way he planned. He is out of a job. So,along with his cohorts and a few European leaders,he plans to run for president and bring down to U.S.A. He eventually meets his former wife,Mary,who is the head of the republican party and a Texas billionaire,they remarry,his plan is to use her. A newspaper reporter in the U.K. discovers his plan. Several assassinations take place, a lot of political intrigue. What makes this mini-series so interesting is could such a thing happen? Well lets examine a little history. Europe. All the European countries have joined and become the E.E.C. Why not Canada,the U.S. and Mexico joining together to form a North American union. If this happens,it would be many years in the making. Another point of interest,the woman who plays the information officer for the White house,in some ways she reminds me of Condoliza Rice. At this time,only fiction,but very well done. Mary,who plays Mary Miller,Texas billionaire is in real life the wife of Paul Gross.

A friend,obtained a DVD of this film.The hottie and the nottie. Paris Hilton a no actress,she may think she is. This film,bomb out after one week in the cinema's. The take,for the cinema owners was around 27 thousand dollars. Now it is on DVD. Do yourself a favour and save your money. I had to force myself to sit through this film. Because of her alcohol problems and the way she carried and boo hoo and cried on,giving the impression of being a spoiled brat,and her sexual encounter with her boy friend,on video. Paris Hilton is her worst enemy.Concerinig this film,do yourself a favour,avoid this one. This is a bomb.

My favourite,Sendit.com. They do not overcharge on postage and they have just about every DVD that is available in the UK for sale. The story line of this film,George C Scott,retired MI-5 agent is requested by Adrian Messenger to check into the wherebouts of a groups of individuals,related to a wealthy family. Are these individuals still alive,after this request,Adrian Messenger boards an airplane for Montreal,the plane is blown up,in order to eliminate Adrain,and now the mystery begins. Several well known male actors appear in cameo roles. kirk Douglas,Dana Wynter and George C Scott are the main actors.Highly recommended.

This title,Full throttle,English title,is available from Hong Kong. Ever since the car chase scene in the Steve McQueen film,Bullet,way back in 1968,many films since then have had race scenes. Hollywood films,now other countries have joined the car chases in their films. Germany,has now entered car chases in their films. Not a bad film,Jan Sosniok takes the job as chauffeur for computer firms executive to chauffeur his wife around. She keeps failing her drivers test. They car they are in in booby trapped with explosives and a ransom, 5 million euro's is requested. Good action scenes and story line keeps this made for TV film going.

Seeing Paul Gross,after his role in Due South,is quite a change. This film H2O is a political thriller set in the near future. Water,not oil,is the main subject of this film. Our neighbour to the south,United States,is running out of it,so,they would love to get their hands on ours. In this film,the prime minister dies in a boating accident,which turns out to be murder. Slowly,the solicitor general discovers their is a plot,to merge Canada into the United States. He tries to prevent this happening,with tragic results. I sent a couple of DVD's to a couple of friends in the US of this film. One person did not care for it,the politics was to confusing. The other person did enjoy it,the political background of the film,confusing,so he goes to the library and gets a few books about Canada and it political setup. I am now waiting for the next film,H2O: Trojan horse.

don't expect much from this film. In many ways this film resembles a film that Doris Day starred in in 1956,title, Julie. In this film Doris,who was a flight attendant,stewardess,in those days,landed the air craft after her derange husband,played by Louis Jordan shot the captain. She did a far better job,more convincing,than Kim Ojah,who took control of a 747 and manage to land it without much help from the control tower. I know a little about 747 aircraft,i use to be a flight attendant myself. Like i said,do not expect much from this film,it was done on a cheap budget. The producers were to cheap to use a plane with the name of a airline on it. Oceanic is one name that several movies have used. The only writing on this plane was the name of the company that made the aircraft.

I saw this film in the UK,the title for release in Europe was,Countdown to invasion. For those who like action,this is not the film for you. Dale Midkiff is the only known actor in the film. The rest of the cast are not known actors. If you are in the habit of watching soap opera,s,you may recognize some of the actors. Grace Philips for one. As i said,this film is not that bad,the plot,a cover-up. And i think we all know how governments cover up things. If anyone would like to purchase a copy,on DVD,it was available on a DVD online shop in Germany,the DVD does have an English soundtrack. Make sure your DVD player plays region two DVD,s,region two is the European television standard.

this is not a bad film,i doubt this film will do much outside of Canada. The US is the leader of motion picture and television production,the United Kingdom is number two. As for Canada,i would say she is far behind. I find it difficult that British and American audiences would sit through a two hour film in both french and English soundtracks with subtitles. The sex scene was stupid,and this film was made on a cheap budget. As i recall,this film made it to the cinema's in Canada,but i do not think it made it to Britain or the US. This film will end up on DVD,already available in Canada,and will probably end up on Showcase,Diva or one of the cable TV movie stations.

This film has been released in three different countries under three different titles,and each version is slight different. In the United Kingdom,the film was released on DVD with this title,Ultimate Limit. In Canada this film was released on DVD with this title,Force of impact. In the US this film was released under the title,Deadly skies. The US version has the main hero portray as a gay man. The UK and Canadian version have these scenes edited,yet the UK version is slightly different than the Canadian version. This film,made for cable TV was not that bad. I have seen both the UK and Canadian versions. I have not seen the US version.

This films tells the story of air force pilot who cracks under peer pressure,it was unclear if his parents pushed him to far,or what,he simply had to be the best,Barry Zetlin,who produce this film,assembled a good cast. The pressure was too much,he cracked under it all. The fight scenes in the air was well done,I suspect that quite a bit of stock footage film was used. This is available on DVD in either the UK or Australia. Before you order it,make sure your DVD player will play it,DVD's players in Canada and the US are region one,in Europe and Australia,they use region 2 and 4 which is Pal System.Region free DVD players can be purchased here in Canada and the US,if you do not wish to purchase one,go on to the internet and type in DVD players hackers list,this web site will give you instructions on how to change the region settings on your DVD player,not all DVD players can the region codes be changed. Another interesting item,Barry Zetlin,who produced this film appeared in it,a cameo appearance,he has also done this in other films he has produced. Alfred Hitchcock used to do the same thing.

I saw this film,during the Christmas season a few years back. This is a tame version of Die Hard. It takes place in Chicago,but viewers in Canada will recognize some of the Canadian outlets. The film was made,I think in Winnepeg. A lot of shooting and action takes place in this film without the blood-gore like it was in Die Hard. A good cast the actors was assembled for this film. Originally released for TV,Christmas rush,the film is available on DVD under the title,Breakaway. This a good film to put people in the Christmas mood as well entertain you. Dean Caine, plays the role of a police officer under suspension from the police force because of a cover-up,Eric Roberts,a reformed jewel thief,retired,separated from his wife,needs the money for a life saving operation for his son. Although the film does contain some violence,it should be OK for family viewing. After a long day of Christmas shopping,if this film is being aired on TV,watch it,or is available at the video store,rent it.

Hallmark entertainment should leave these Jules Vern films alone. They did a bad job on filming,20,000 leagues under the sea,which was around a 3 hour bore,now,their version of Mysterious Island,again another bore which lasts about 3 hours. The special effects were bad,a bunch of relatively unknown actors,do not waste your time with this one. If possible,go to your video store or purchase a copy of the 1961 version which is far superior than this one. The 1961 version has well known British and American actors,good special effects that were outstanding for that year,even today they stand out,this film also has a Bernard Herrmann music score.

Considering this is a made for TV movie,the special effects were above the normal TV standard. Some good movie actors,Dean Cain and Adrian Quinn star in this film. I was able to purchase a DVD copy of this film,Mayday,through the German DVD shops which can be found on the web-sites. Grant you,this a made for TV film, it was not bad. The special effects,when the missal hit the plane,was well done. If you should wish to purchase a copy of this DVD from Germany,make sure your DVD player plays the European standard,pal system,if it does not,your player will not be able to play it. Does your player play other region DVD's,check your manual. I the player was purchased in the USA or Canada,no doubt it is region one. Here in Canada,multi region DVD players are for sale,or,do this,on the internet,type in DVD hackers list,this list lists all the players that are capable of playing this region DVD. It also gives instructions on how to change the region codes on your player,many DVD player,this can be done. Good luck.

True story concerning a Canadian airline,in 1983,the time Canada started to use the metric system. Some people were not use to metric system. When the airport employee,s were filling up the airplane tanks,not enough fuel was in them to complete their flight. The mistake the producers overlooked. In a scene at the airport,a man was exiting from a Lexus. Lexus,is the luxury car,produced by Toyota. In 1983,Lexus was not being manufacture by Toyota. I think,1989,was the first year that Lexus came out. The Lexus used in this film,i think was the ES-250. Producers of these films should do more research work if they wish to have their films authenic appearing. But TV films generally are budgeted.

after seeing The Truth about Charlie,i don't think anyone would care. this,so called,remake of the classic,Charade,should not have been made.Charade had it all. Romance,intrigue,comedy,beautiful Paris settings,complimented with a Henri Mancini music score. The remake has none of the above. Dreary Paris settings,music score,nothing to rave about,Thandie Newton is no Audrey Hepburn and Mark Wahlberg is no Cary Grant. This film is not a complete waste. A OK film to watch if nothing else is available. The DVD that Universal has released,here in Canada and the U.S.A. has both editions. In this way you can compare which film is the best. I am sure,most people will prefer the original,Charade. After around 40 years,the original Charade,still stands out. No doubt it will become a classic.

We all hate the banking industry. Banks have been around for a long time. Unsympathetic institutions that can either break you or make you. This good film,from Australia,gives us the insight dealings of a major bank and the individuals who run the bank and will go to any length, make a profit, regardless of who they hurt. This film is about one such bank and how it collapse,by their own greed,. Now,this is not to say banks are evil,after all where would we be without them. But, like anything else, the bad exists as well as the good. The Bank,with a good cast,will keep the viewer glued to the television set. Filmed in Australia,a good cast of Australian actors do a good job in their acting ability to bring this film to the screen. American actor,Anthony LaPaglia plays,the head executive of this bank.

Good comedy of a popular television series that ran in England in the 1970's. a Somewhat controversial in its day,kept the British viewers glued to their television sets. This popular series is now available on DVD in the United Kingdom. Individuals who have region-free DVD players can order these DVD episodes from the video on-line shops in the U.K. People whishing to watch clean violent free entertainment will probably enjoy these DVD episodes. Video tapes of Love thy neighbour are also available. Jack Smethurst,Rudolph Walker,Nina Baden-Semper,and Kate Williams are the main actors in this series. Rudolph Walker appeared in the popular series,The blue thin line about 25 years later. He has also appeared in several episodes of the popular British police series,The Bill. After this series began in England,the U.S.A.and Australia produced their own versions. After a few episodes in the U.S.A. the series was cancelled. The Australia version was quite popular in Australia.

On a recent trip to Hong Kong,i was able to purchase a DVD copy of this good film. The DVD region code was for all regions. So i have no problem playing this DVD in Canada. This film has an excellent cast and plenty of action to keep the viewer glued to the television set. Filmed in Germany,it starts out with a laboratory experimenting with illegal virus from Russia. One of the laboratory employee's gets infected,leaves the laboratory,attempts to steal a car,causing the driver,after a fight,to get infected. He boards the plane,possibly infecting other passengers. Britain,Canada,all other European countries refuse to let the plane land in their countries. Now the C.I.A. gets involved,a cover-up is in the plans,it is suggested the plane be blown up,killing everyone on it. A doctor,working with the C.I.A. discovers the plot,which keeps this film going till the end. I am quite surprise this film in not available on DVD here in Canada or the U.S.A. People who have the internet could probably purchase the DVD from one of the Hong Kong DVD online shops.On 12/feb/2008,this DVD was supposed to be released on DVD in Canada and the U.S.A. Well,it never happened,no explanation was given,all web sites I tried to order it from,stated,out of release,on order. Two of the web-sites I ordered it from,cancel the order,as for Amazon,I canceled the order.

I like to look for mistakes that producers make in their movies. Midnight Lace takes place in modern London,1960. It was quite apparent this film was made in Hollywood. The scenes of London were probably stock footage. The color from these London scenes did not match the color used in the film. The big mistake,was the scene taken outside of the luggage shop when Doris Day was pushed in front of the bus. In England,all cars,buses,trucks,have circle disks on their windshields. Non the the vehicles in this scene had the disks on their windshields. Other than that one blunder,I feel Midnight Lace was a good film,showing Doris Day's acting abilities. The rest of the cast,did an excellent job in their performances. I hope this film is released on dvd disk.

Hollywood has released few films concerning Canada's effort in fighting in world war two. This film,Lifeline to victory,will give the viewer,Canada's role,in world war two. A good cast of Canadian actors. This film was released,for the rental market,video stores,in 1995. I managed to purchase a copy of this film,used,at the video store. Some of my American friends,visiting me here in Toronto,enjoyed watching this film. Rarely broadcast on television,if you can rent this at the video,do so. A good film for Canadians,who pride themselves as Canadian citizens. This film received good reviews when it was shown on television. If you find a used copy for sale in the video shops,purchase it.

What a waste of tallent. ,bad scrip. I can see why this film never made it to the cinemas. UK title, The Alternate, U.S. title,Agent of death. Good actors such as Ice-T and Eric Roberts could not save this flick. The editing was sloppy,the action scenes were phony looking. A good cast wasted. Save your time and money. Pass this one. In one scene a room was shot up,yet in a later scene,the room was perfect condition. The action scenes were phoney. Eric Roberts was hit so many times with a lead pipe, yet he kept getting up without a scratch. John Beck,who played the U.S. president,had few secret service protecting him. It was so easy for the terrorists to infiltrate. Donot waste your money on this one.

This film is a waste of time. Much of the footage was taken from the 1979 film,City on fire,starring Leslie Nielson,. Ice-T had very few lines. Go to the video store and rent the original,City on fire, with better cast. Leave Ablaze alone, not worth watching,a waste of time.
