I tried so hard to find redeeming characteristics but it has been so hard. My biggest issue is the main character Bloom. She is the most selfish character of the show-she thinks no ones life sucks as much as hers and because of this she thinks it's okay to make the absolute stupidest decisions no matter the cost. She distrusts everyone except herself in a world she just learned of. Her friends (really not sure why they like her because she kinda sucks as a person and hasn't contributed anything to friendships) try to help her understand the ways of the world but she still won't listen. 3 of the roommates are the only characters I likes. Everything else just kinda sucks. Not sure if recommend this. The script tries hard to be relevant and I question a few things (such as how does a FaceTime call work when people are in 2 separate worlds). I can already see the future of the show continuing to allow bloom to make stupid decisions that get others killed and still let her take no responsibility for it. Not interested in it. Only reason I watched all the episodes was because I'll admit I liked the roommates and a few of the other background characters

Whether or not it's "copying" a previous film, I thought it was funny. I laughed. There are a few scenes that are a little "extra" but overall it was entertaining. Everyone in my theater laughed throughout the film so clearly many people found this to be a good movie. So I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who wants a good laugh.

This show was absolutely amazing! There are a lot of groundhog like movies out there but this one has a new concept and idea that I absolutely loved! I feel like it's both comical and sincere while giving us a new way of thinking about life. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys a good show with a bit of mystery.

Let's be honest, a big reason why this movie has low ratings is because of the star Amy's Shumer. She's not my favorite actress or comedian by any means but I will give credit when and where it is due and I honestly think she was great in a really funny movie. It's a cliché story line but it's still a funny movie that warms your heart a bit with a great theme of loving yourself for who you are. I'd recommend for a easy girls night with friends! (Though there were many couples at the theatre too!)

Over the pass two days between my classes, work, and meetings I have binge watched the first season of On My Block. I will admittedly say that I wasn't sure that I would fall in love with the show in the first couple of episodes-the acting and comedy seemed a little strained. However, I continued on and I am SO GLAD! This show is very entertaining involving both themes of comedy and drama. I think we can all relate to some of the awkward and enduring highschool/teenage scenes which is what brought me in. What kept me was the real ness and truth of the characters and their lives. Yes there are many light hearted scenes but there are many more that show the hard reality of many teenagers. It shows family drama, gang life, fitting in, and problems with friends and at home. I'm really excited about season 2 and would definitely recommend this show to everyone.
