He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
(1983)

I still get giddy!
When He-Man raises his sword by the power of Greyskull and turns from Adam into He-Man, I get so giddy. I can't believe how this still sends goosebumps and excitement through me, but then again so does seeing Superman, Batman, or Spider-Man rescuing someone. I know that it is for kids but why would that effect my rating for this series? We don't say that it is for adults as an insult and therefore something being for kids is not a problem for me. I love the characters. I especially love He-Man and Orko. Definitely something I am truly fond of to no end. In heaven there will still be He-Man reruns! The bad guys are so bad and the good guys are awesome. I am biased because Igrew up on this but so what. This series is awesome!

The Testaments: Of One Fold and One Shepherd
(2000)

I don't count church films in my all time favourite list
But if I made one for the church, this would be number one. I have balled like a baby in few movies, but this was one of them. I felt like I should make a stronger effort in so many areas of my life, and I knew exactly what I should work on. I am so grateful for being able to see this. If I ever went blind I would forever remember the image of Helam looking up into Jesus' eyes after being healed. I looked around and even my cousin who never cries in movies was shedding tears like I have never seen outside a funeral. I am so happy to have seen this and I wish I could get a copy for me to watch over and over again. I will share this with my children and nieces and nephews. It is something special.

The Singles Ward
(2002)

What a great film!
It is just outstanding. I watched it several days in a row after my sister got the video for Christmas. I had just got back from my mission and I was so impressed by how funny this movie was, as well as heartwarming. Some may complain that it seems to preach and say that one day non-members or "Jack" Mormons will come around, but that is the point. It needs to do this. It needs to show that the main character is a person who was denying what he knew to be right, because that is what all people who reject the truth of this church do. I believe that this is a great guide to showing why this is not just something that can ever be just deemed "nice, but not for me". This is for everyone, and the movie is not a downer, but shows the positivity of the message perfectly.

I have many friends who just like Johnathan have come back to the fold and I am glad to see it represented in such a fun manner.

God's Army
(2000)

Wonderful
There are some examples of missionaries blatantly disregarding very important rules, but unfortunately that does happen sometimes. I just hope they didn't do it to say "this is okay". If it was for realism, then all power to them.

I love this movie, it is funny, realistic, and smart. I know that the things that happen can happen. The church is true!

This movie contains one of the most profound lines I have ever heard. It says that God always gives us 100 clear reasons to believe that this is his only true church, and then one reason that with our current faith we can't quite see through, and it is profoundly sad how many people will fall to that one reason. They just won't exercise their faith based on the other reasons. I know this is true, but never thought of that until I saw this movie. I would like to say thank you to the makers!
