A heartwarming and attractive story about love, loss, and life. En man som heter Ove (2015) by Hannes Holm had deservedly a fine American remake: A Man Called Otto (2022) by Mark Foster. The picture shows that family can sometimes be found in the most unexpected places. It deals with retired Ove (Rolf Lassgård, role subsequently played by Tom Hanks) , a grump who no longer sees purpose in his life following the loss of his wife . Ove is a sociopath and doesn't like other people. Ove works for the neighborhood association and checks for every infraction by residents like bikes on lawns, parking permits not displayed correct inside cars and so on. Ove cancels his phone, electricity and gas accounts.. he vacuums his house.. He dresses immaculately. He has decided to commit suicide. Ove is ready to end it all, but his plans are interrupted when a lively young family moves in next door , and he meets his match in quick-witted Parvaneh (Bahar Pars , later role performed by Mariana Treviño). She challenges him to see life differently, leading to an unlikely friendship that turns his world around . Experience an agreeeable , funny , charming story with full of love and friendship . Fall in love with the grumpiest man in America !. Misery Hates Company !. Grumpy old men aren't born, they're made...
A sensitive fun and tearjerker film with touches of comedy dealing with camaraderie , friendship , family and love. Rolf Lassgård stars in this Swedish comedy film which was awarded Best European Comedy at the 2016 European Film Awards. The film is a moving story about Ove, a retiree and widower, who finds meaning in life again with the arrival of a young married iranian woman who moves in with her family next door. Through the friendship that is created between both roles, the question arises as to why there are people who live their whole lives bitter . There are good messages throughout the entire film, and the movie is very nice with lively moments that touch the heart, leaving an enjoyable feeling that once you leave the theater gives you good joy . Rolf Lassgård is terrific as Ove , a grumpy widower who is very set in his ways and meets his match in quick-witted and very pregnant Parvaneh, finely played by Bahar Pars, leading to an unlikely friendship that will turn his world upside-down. As director Hannes Holm explains the character of Ove is that figure who has an almost Shakespearean style and that it can be spread in all countries and languages . The film based on Fredrick Backman's bestseller novel "En man som heter Ove" .
This 'Feel Good Movie' displays a stunning and emotive cinematography from cameraman Göran Hallberg . Likewise , a rousing , stirring musical score by Gaute Storaas . This well-intentioned motion picture was professionally directed by Hannes Holm, delivering tears , sensibility and impressively moving scenes . Director often uses protagonists looking for happiness within different viewpoints of others, while looking at themselves as well , and he's passionate about telling stories which mean something to him .
This ¨En man som heter Ove¨ or ¨A man called Ove¨ (2015) was the subject of a good American remake titled ¨A Man called Otto¨ (2022) by Mark Foster with Tom Hanks , Mariana Treviño, Manuel Garcia Rulfo, Lily Kozub, Mack Bayda ,Cameron Britton, that results to be a nice reboot . Rating : 7.5/10 . Decent and good feeling film with a vigorous message . The pic will appeal to dramatic comedies enthusiasts .

This thrilling series contains lots of action, suspenseful , fast-paced thriller, intrigue , tension but at times it seems too similar to other action films. From start to finish the tension and suspense are continued . The TV series plot bears little relationship to the novel or film, but there's an enjoyable battle of wits between Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch, along with excellent action sequences like as the breathtaking car pursuits. The main issue of the film is a stubborn manhunt, in which a moving cat-and-mouse chase across Europe between an obstinate MI6 agent and a cunning hitman who's leaving destruction, chaos, wreak havoc in his wake. Eddie Redmayne as the unrivaled and highly elusive assassin executing hits for the highest fee known only as the Jackal, Lashana Lynch as the tenacious British intelligence officer who starts to track him down and Ursula Corberó as the ingenuous wife are the trio of protagonists, make a solid portrayal of their characters backed by a splendid secondary casting, such as: Eleanor Matsuura, Chukwudi Iwuji , Ben Hall, Lia Williams , Jon Arias . The film is loosely based in Frederick Forsyth's best selling novel of political intrigue,it's previousl and successfully adpated by Fred Zinnemann with Edward Fox. However, The Day of the Jackal(2024-) is quite different to the original novel ,The "Day of the Jackal" novel was set in 1963, in which the target is political , to kill the general Charles de Gaulle by a killer hired by the OAS (terrorist organization anti-independence Algeria). The series in 10 episodes was competently directed by Brian Kirk, Paul Wilmshurst, Anu Menon and Anthony Philipson. Including colourful and eye-catching photographs of many charming European places, such as: Lovran, Croatia, Franjo Tudjman Airport, Zagreb,Sevilla, Cadiz , Spain, Opatija, Island Pag, Croatia, Keleti railway station, Budapest, Hungary, Strabag House building, Vienna, among others.
Other versions of this classy story are as follows: the best ¨The Day of the Jackal¨ (1973) by Fred Zinnemann with Edward Fox, Michael Lonsdale, Cryl Cusak, Alan Badel and in which Edward Fox as Jackal is involved an assassination attempt on the then-President of France Charles de Gaulle. Jackal (1997) by Michael Caton-Jones with Bruce Willis, Richard Gere, Sidney Poitier, Diane Venora, J. K. Simmon, in which the show moves the setting to the current era when the Russian Mafia wants avenge for a FBI intervention in its issues and his target is allegedly killing FBI's chief and they hire Jackal to execute him.

This scary movie opens with a narration by Ramirez (Jacob Vargas) who mentions to his colleague (Matt Craven) that his mother tells him stories of the Devil roaming the earth, and it always begins with a suicide. In Philadelphia, a man commits suicide by throwing himself from a tall skyscraper, then detective Bowden (Chris Messina) is called to the scene to aid in the investigation. Later on, five strangers (Logan Marshall-Green, Bokeem Woodbine, Geoffrey Arendt, Jenny O'Hara, Bojana Novakovic)are trapped in a large office building. Soon mysterious and scary things begin to happen, and they slowly realize that someone is not who they say they are. Bad Things Happen For A Reason !. On any ordinary day, our lives are filled with chance encounters and random events, but today everything happens for a reason !. This fall, five strangers trapped, one of these five people is not who they appear to be!. The Night Chronicles Begin !.
From Universal Pictures comes a new nightmare from the mind of M. Night Shyamalan, containing chills, tension, suspense, twists, turns and supernatural events. A horror film directed by a regular of the genre, John Eriick Dowle (Quarentine). The film develops a good part of the action between the four walls of an elevator, following in the footsteps of other feature films such as ¨Buried¨ and ¨The Panic Room¨, something that works positively and tensely when it comes to keeping the intrigue when five people are trapped, but one of them is not what it seems. The film also benefits from the hand of the prestigious M Night Shyalaman (The sixth sense, the Village, Signs) in writing, author of the story and being an expert in this type of horror/mystery films. "Devil" stars Chris Messina (Argo), Logan Marshall Green (Prometheus), Bokeem Woodbine (Overlord), Jenny O'Hara (Mystic River), Jacob Vargas (The 33), Matt Craven (Crimson Tide) , all of them give adequate interpretations.
It contains colorful and adequate cinematography by cameraman by Tak Fujimoto. As well as a suspenseful and intriguing musical score by composer Fernando Velázquez. The film was professionaly and competently directed by John Erick Dowdle, although without much originality because we had already seen most of the eerie situations before. John is a good craftsman, a fine writer/producer and director. He wrote and directed his first feature, Full Moon Rising (1996) just out of college. For his sophomore effort, The Dry Spell, John was joined by his brother Drew, who produced the film as John wrote, directed and edited. Erick has a long career as a prestigious writer and filmmaker of terror films. John Erick Dowle is especially, known for: ¨As Above, So Below¨, ¨Quarantine¨, ¨Quarantine 2: Terminal¨, ¨Waco¨ , ¨The Poughkeepsie Tapes¨, ¨DrySpell¨, ¨No Escape¨, among others. Rating ¨Evil¨, ( 2010): 6.5/10. Better than average horror film.
