A rogue reporter (Clark Gable) trailing a runaway heiress (Claudette Colbert) for a big story joins her on a bus heading from Florida to New York and they end up stuck with each other when the bus leaves them behind at one of the stops along the way. Here's Your Last Chance To See This Picture! One That Made Screen History! See This Picture!. Hunger strike, eh? How long has this been going on?. If you have not seen this picture don't miss it! If you have you'll want to see it again!.It doesn't happen every night that you have a chance to see such a swell all-around picture !. Together for the first time!
This attractive and freewheeling film results to be an unforgettable and amusing entertainment, containing the outstanding performance of two outstanding careers. Stars two great lovers of the screen in the grandest of romantic comedies: Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. Classic Capra comedy about an antagonist couple determined to teach each other about life, as Colbert is an unhappy heiress who runs away from her affluent home in serch of contentment , while Gable is a newspaper reporter who teaches her how real people live. A charming picture that took the critics by surprise and subsequently became the first movie to win all five major Academy Awards. This is the first of the 1930s screwball comedies , so its plot is a framework for a fun examination of war between the sexes. Colbert and Gable are sansationally supeb as affectionate foes. Remade as the musicals: ¨Eve knew her apples¨ and You can't run away from it¨.
This engrossing motion picture was stunningly directed by Frank Capra. Capra is deemed to be one of the best filmmakers in American cinema; always accompanied by his usual screenwriter and collaborator Robert Riskin, Frank directed seven Academy Award Best Picture nominees: Lady for a Day (1933), It Happened One Night (1934), Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936), Lost Horizon (1937), You Can't Take It with You (1938), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) and It's a Wonderful Life (1946). It Happened One Night and You Can't Take It with You both won Best Picture. Rating: 7.5/10. Better than average. Especially recommended to classic film enthusiasts.

It begins with the starring (Kyle Gallner) of the previous installment facing a criminal gang. Then we see our new protagonist, global pop sensation Akye Riley (Naomi Scott) , who begins to experience terrifying events before her world tour. Her stiff-upper-lip manager and mother Elizabeth Riley (Rosemary DeWitt) and her assistant Joshua (Miles Gutierrez-Riley) Joshua take care of her to avoid a drug relapse. For our protagonist, a famous pop singer, the lines between reality and nightmare begin to blur rapidly, forcing her to confront a dark past.
Little by little she is haunted by a blood-curdling vision. It will never let go !. It's the last thing you'll see !. Once you see it, it's too late !. Pass it on !. The new face of fear !. What makes you smile?. Can Skye Riley prevent the inevitable? Will she escape the terrifying supernatural entity ?.
The film begins at the end of the original first installment, and it is therefore a full-fledged sequel. Parker Finn's disturbing second feature fully achieves what the director was looking for: provoking a feeling of panic attack from start to finish. This frightening movie displays terror, shocks, hard-edged drama and creepy images. While the look is suitable atmospheric and eerie, the plot stretches plausibility to the breaking point. ¨The Smile (2022)¨and ¨The Smile II (2024)¨ is inspired by a short by the director himself (¨Laura Hasn't Slept ,2020¨), starring Caitlin Stasey, Lew Temple, winner of the special jury prize in the SWSW midnight shorts category. 'Laura has't sleep' is a bit different from 'Smile' and 'Smile 2', though the last one were more about trauma affecting people and dealing with a mysteriously threatening curse. The visual effects used were terrifying in a good way and on point. I especially liked the CGI for the faces of the attackers and victims. A lot of tension, mystery and horror and the ending was surprising and not where I thought it was going.
'Smile II' received mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised the visuals, make-up, and themes, that's why it's considered an acceptable sequel; which is not inferior to the original, but is very similar in both execution and style, although the 'monstrous' conclusion is not to my liking. But criticized its jump scares, easy screams and plot similarities to ¨It Follows¨ (2014), ¨The grudge¨(2004), The Ring (2002) and ¨The Ring 2¨(2005). This disturbing motion picture was well and originally written/produceddirected by Parker Finn at his second film. Rating: 6/10. A decent horror film follow up that will appeal to horror fans.

Intriguing and suspenseful thriller about a young female driver who's violently pursued by a nasty sociopath resulting in unpredictable consequences. Stars a man (Russell Crowe) for whom life has completely lost its meaning due to fateful circumstances. He has a breakdown and becomes completely mentally insane and with an incredible, adrenaline-fueled thirst for revenge, he crosses paths on the road with Rachel Flynn (Caren Pistorious), a woman who also has her problems. Rachel , a newly divorced single mother living in New Orleans, drives her 15-year-old son Kyle (Gabriel Bateman) to school in rush hour traffic. She is running late to work and honks at a pickup truck failing to go through a green light. The owner of the truck, Tom, soon catches up to Rachel and apologizes, then asks for an apology in return. She accuses him of not starting the car when the traffic light is green. The Man takes this as a shock and begins a relentless hunt to get even with the unfortunate victim. A merciless pursuit begins with disastrous consequences. He can happen to anyone !.
Russell Crowe and Caren Pistorious star in this high-voltage, unbridled thriller with the spirit of a classic B-movie. Professionally directed by Derrick Borte (American Dreamer, London Town, The Joneses), it tells of a relentless pursuit when a man has completely lost his mind and, in the midst of a mental breakdown, goes after an innocent victim. There's a really violent and terrifying cat and mouse game of that proves you never know who you're driving next to and in which a woman becomes the target of a insatiable rage.
The film is acceptable and decent enough, but it doesn't add anything new to what we've seen so many times about chases carried out by sadists on the highways, which is why it borrows bits and pieces from films like ¨Steven Spielberg's Duel¨, ¨John Dahl's Joy Ride¨, and of course, taking the Michael Douglas' role in ¨Joel Schumacher's Falling Down¨, an ordinary man frustrated with the various flaws he sees in society begins to psychotically and violently lash out against them. But what truly stands out in ¨Unhinged (2929) is the extremely fat Russell Crowe, who efficiently plays the worst of the psychic characters, taking us back to Rutger Hauer's interpretation of the classic ¨Robert Harmon's The Hitcher (1986)¨ or its sequel: ¨Dave Meyers' Hitcher (2007)¨ played by Sean Bean. ¨Unhinged¨ rating: 6/10. The film is especially recommended for hardcore fans of Russell Crowe, who despite his excessive weight gives a truly terrifying, threatening and chilling performance.
