The Prisoner
(2009)

Why?
Like other heinous, greedy and dimwitted remakes, why not just call it something else? Italian Job - Heist Sgt Bilko - Sgt Smith The Prisoner - Trapped

Danger Man
(1964)

Classy, high quality, intelligent
A largely gimmick free spy adventure series. Patrick Mcgoohan's screen presence is nearly matched by the fantastic supporting casts. The series gives dignified roles to women and often uses non British and BAME actors in well written stories that use ethics and intrigue in equal measure. Typical Patrick Mcgoohan. Fantastic.

Play It Cool
(1962)

4 for nostalgia but......
Marked down heavily for the very creepy way he sings at the poor women who are just minding their own business in cafes, on aeroplanes etc. A good who's who of sixties British cinema though.

Wonder Woman 1984
(2020)

We would have turned it off but we'd paid £15
Wonder Woman has so little 'presence' that they keep sticking Chris Pine in to carry the films. At least we were distracted from how terrible the film was by his bizarre hair do. A wasted opportunity.

On the Buses
(1971)

Insulting
Lazy, offensive, misogynistic. Two elderly wannabe Playboy's get up to completely banal sniggering nonsense like two lobotomised schoolboys

Happy Valley
(2014)

Sarah Lancashire as usual is fantastic
The writing, acting and directing in Happy Valley is outstanding. No clichés, no sentimental nonsense, just tense, gripping drama with human interest and relationships based storyline.

The Prisoner
(1967)

A Masterpiece
I trusted Patrick McGoohan to teach me about life, society, politics, religion, kindness, integrity, harmony and justice. He taught me all of that in a mind blowing, stylish, exciting, intense wonderland of timeless genius that set the standard of TV, very little has come close since. Don't listen to the lazy composing about the last episode. Do the work and learn lessons from it, although as Zen reminds us..... We already know...... Thank you Paddy Fitz for reminding us and teaching young people these lessons for the first time, you live on to me as a great great man.

Batwoman
(2019)

Really really wanted this to be good
I would have liked this to be a strong female superhero story full of charm, compassion, intelligence and integrity. Batwoman herself is the beginning of the problems, she just isn't likeable. A bit like Gal Gadot's Wonderwoman, she has no charisma and the story telling (which is threadbare) relies on all other characters who aren't particularly interesting either but at least they can act a bit......

Pose
(2018)

Excellent
Moving, exciting, funny, stylish, amazing. I can't rate this highly enough.

Coast
(2005)

Good.... With problems
Undoubtedly awe inspiring and interesting BUT..........strangely superficial and unsatisfying. Maybe if they spent less time constantly previewing and recapping they're would be much more content. 4 and a half mins in and they're still telling us IN DETAIL what they will be telling us in the show THAT WE ARE WATCHING

Still Open All Hours
(2013)

Insulting
I know that many sitcoms are commissioned to provide anaesthesia and wallpaper to middle/old aged viewers, but.........there is no excuse for this.

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi
(2017)

Didn't feel like a Star Wars film
This was without the usual class and gravity of a Star Wars film. Everything from Lukes 'comedy' to Snoke being pointless just felt wrong and hugely disappointing

Transformers: The Last Knight
(2017)

Cynical charmless rubbish
Truly amazed by what an immoral waste of money this film is

The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
(2015)

Pointless and charmless
No cameos from the real Solo and Kuryakin, no theme tune, no tailor shop, no UNCLE. Ilya Kuryakin is a powerful robot rather than a likeable nerd........honestly.......what was the bloody point?

Carnival of Souls
(1962)

The positive reviews on here are baffling!
Poor acting, awful script yet I watched it to the end, so bad its good.....sort of
