I enjoyed both seasons but the 2nd season was better mainly because Victor (Yon Gonzalez) falls in love with a hospital doctor, while he's undercover as a nurse in Montalban Hospital, while investigating the disappearance of a French doctor, who worked there. Yes there are many twists and turns in both seasons, and each episode has you guessing differently who the prime suspect is. Vicente Romero, provides comic relief as Inspector Rafael Vidal. Unfortunately, Victor and Dr. Belen Yague's romance is short-lived. I'm so disappointed they did not make a third season.

The last time i went to the movies was in 2019 pre-pandemic. Last night i had to go see the latest Bond film. Yes it's the typical over 2-hr. Film, just like any normal Bond film. So far so good. After the typical Bond opening, you see like maybe 10 or 15 minutes of opening storylines, then comes the opening credit/theme song for the film. No, here its at least a half hour. The theme song by Billie Eilish is so-so. As the film progresses, we see a lot of references to "On Her Majesty's Secret Services", including music scores, and Bond telling Madeleine, "We have all the time in the world". Then the film slowly starts to unravel. Rami Malek, who earned his first Oscar portraying Freddie Mercury in "Bohemian Rhapsody", was average playing the villain. Jeffrey Wright was superb as Felix. The cast was great. The storylines after Bond reunites with Madeleine, starts to go downhill, when you see her daughter, Mathilde, you know that Bond's her father. Then finally, Bond realizes his end, when he tries to escape the island, but is trapped when security alarms close all exits and ruins any chances of Bond's escaping the island before missiles blow up the place. The last Bond film that made me cry was "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". Well this was the second Bond film that brought me to tears. What else can I say? No more Bond films? How can Bond be brought back to life?

First of all, yes i also saw this on youtube with the dutch subtitles, although i dont speak dutch. And what's up with this new title called "Terror in New York"? I first saw this when I rented this movie back in 1987 from Blockbuster Video. Yes little boys and girls, back in the days, we did have a Blockbuster store to go rent movies for the weekend. So anyway, the original cover had Don Johnson on the phone. So anyways, the cast was allstar including Sharon Gless, who played the reporter, Kay, Julie Kavner, who played Andy's (Johnson) wife, Megan, as well as Audra Lindley from 3's Company, and legendary actors, Arthur Hill and Mason Adams. Andy was at first suspicious when meeting with Diz, (Hiller) who told him that in order to receive full insurance benefits, that his wife would need a physical. Megan becomes injected with a tranquilizer, then sent to a "beauty parlor" where she becomes a "robot" housewife, dependent on taking pills each time the siren sounds, like all the other robotic wives in Stepford. Its up to Kay to get Megan and Andy out of Stepford. Great movie.

Domenico Modugno again shines in this film, where he plays Giovanni Russo, a faded violinist, turned violin professor at a conservatory in Rome. One of his pupils, Laura, a student violinist, ends up falling in love with him. On a sponsored trip to Israel, Laura confesses to Giovanni one night, that she is in love with him. Giovanni has to fight his feelings for her, which brings back painful memories of him and his wife. He ultimately resigns from his teaching post to play in an orchestra in London. This film is just as good as "Piange il telefono", which came out in 1975. The special makeup effects they did on Domenico, to make him look younger in several flashback scenes is terrific. Also, this film will make you cry, so definitely have some tissues handy.

I didnt know that Domenico Modugno was also an actor as well as a singer. The most familiar song that i know of his is Nel Pinto di Blu, or commonly known as Volare. I happened to watch this, mainly because I love foreign films. Piange il Telefono is Italian for the telephone cries, and yes it made me cry, so ladies, please have some tissues handy. Piange il Telefono is also a song that Domenico sang and it features a very young Francesca Guadagno, as Chiara, the daughter of his former love, Collette, a French model, whom he falls in love with. First of all, Domenico doesn't sing in this film. At all. The story starts out with Andrea, (Modugno), and his rocky relationship with Collette. Andrea is a pilot for Alitalia, but ends up losing his job, when it turns out he failed his physical, because of a heart condition. He proposes to Collette, who is relucatant at first, because her modeling career's more important to her than having kids, which is what Andrea desired to have with her. Unfortunately, things go terribly wrong, when he decides to take a job as a pilot flying a plane full of ammonition. The plane is shot down by African soldiers, and Andrea and the 2 men aboard are captured and held in a prison. Meanwhile, Collette's doing a fashion show, when she faints on the catwalk. She's then cared for by Dr. Alberto, played by a young Louis Jordan. Seven years pass and when Andrea's finally released, his former co-pilot tells him that Collette has a family. Andrea's crushed and tries to contact Collette, but she won't talk to him. One day he calls and Chiara answers the phone. Andrea tries to convince the little girl that he still loves her mom. Later that night, he calls again and this time Alberto answers and agrees to let Andrea come and visit Chiara. The only drawback about this film is that I felt Domenico was a bit too old to play the part of Andrea, since he was around 47 back in 1975. But overall, the acting is very well done.

In this episode, a college student is murdered, and Behzat must figure out who did it. In one scene, where he's looking at a group picture that has the murdered student in it, he also notices that his daughter, Berna, was in that photo, taken a few months before she died. Behzat looks up and sees a younger ghost of Berna. She's holding a book, and asks him to read her a story. He gets up and walks over and kneels down in front of the couch where she's sitting. He then starts touching her hair, and then she gives him a hug. This is probably one of the most touching scenes, because you don't know if this happened when she was still alive, and he's having a flashback, or if he's hugging her ghost. He then has his head in his daughter's lap, while she's stroking his hair.

This is the second episode the series. It continues right where the pilot episode left off. After suffering a major tragedy in his life, Behzat is being driven by Harun back to the station. But on the way there, they see people running across the street, and hear gun shots. Two gangs were firing at each other. Ghost is trying to shoot the leader but a young girl is in the way. But by the time he tries to rescue her, she is taken hostage by the gang leader. Behzat comes out with his gun drawn, but his guys tell him to go back to the car. Refusing to listen to them, his actions consequently end up with the young girl being shot, as she dies in Behzat's arms. Totally distraught over what happened that night, he takes matters into his own hands. Two days later, he ends up in a mental hospital, where he meets another patient, Sule, and runs into an old flame, Bahar.

After, a disastrous relationship with a hooker, Harun's parents decide to fix him up with a young conservative Muslim girl. Even though, Harun has his heart set on Eda, he reluctantly agrees to go out with the girl. After a few dates, his parents pressure him to propose to the girl, which leads to the engagement for the couple. At the wedding site, Harun and the guys start dancing before the bride even shows up. When she does arrive, the ceremony starts, unfortunately, Harun looks at Eda, and becomes discouraged and gets cold feet. This does not go too well with either the bride or groom's families. After Harun's outburst about not wanting to marry his bride, he he storms out, but is quickly followed by Behzat, Ghost and Vulture. Behzat then ridicules Harun for being dishonorable, and then takes it out on Ghost and Vulture, for encouraging him not to go on with the ceremony.

I'm only giving this film five stars mainly because key elements are missing. First, there was no Sule, Eda or Ercumen here. Second, Esra's in this film, and i thought she was killed off. And of course third, Behzat was not wearing his trademark leather black jacket. I don't know why people are calling this a longer version of the series. If you watch the TV show, each episode is pretty much 90 mins. if not longer, and this movie was about 12 mins. shorter than episode 21. I would say this is pretty much like watching the TV show, except the swear words haven't been bleeped out, since this is a theatrical film, and you see more people smoking, since they cant do it in the TV show, as well as more bed scenes with Esra and Behzat. Esra even takes off her underwear, but still has her shoes on in bed, and you see Behzat pulling up his pants. I believe this is the first of two "spinoff" movies,according to wikipedia. In this film, someone is kidnapping people and burying them alive six feet under in the cemeteries. This causes Behzat to have continuous nightmares about digging up graves hoping that his dead daughter may still be alive. Harun has to show some tough love to his boss, when he has to hit Behzat over the head, after Behzat grabs and hugs a young girl wearing a red dress and resembling Berna. Harun then takes the unconscious captain to the cemetery. Behzat wakes up on Berna's grave, where he realizes that Berna is really dead. Behzat is his usual casanova self here, not only is he sleeping with the prosecutor, Esra, he falls for a young police psychologist, who reminds him of his daughter, who decides to get intimate with Behzat. They start making love until he sees Berna's ghost. If you do decide to watch this film, stay tuned because after the closing credits, there's a "surprise" bonus. :D

This episode opens with the body of a pregnant woman who was found in an alley. A drunken Behzat shows up at the scene to investigate. But when he sees the body, he has flashbacks of himself reading Esra's autopsy report which revealed she was 2 months pregnant with his child. He then pushes himself past 2 uniformed officers and holds a gun to keep Ghost, Harun and Volture, his inspectors, to keep them away from the body. He becomes delusional, thinking his unborn baby is in the body of the woman. He puts his hand in her vaginal area, and then passes out when he sees her blood and fetal tissue all over his hand. Harun then takes the unconscious captain home. When he regains consciousness, Behzat starts foaming at the mouth and starts to vomit all over the bed.

I would have to say that season three is mainly my favorite because, not only is it the final season, but the beginning of a very dark storyline for Behzat. My dad didn't like the last season because he says that the story lines here are too dark for him to watch. The season opens up with Behzat determined to avenge his wife's death. This is like the Turkish modern day version of Mad Max. Behzat starts seeing 3 different versions of himself. First they appear to him in the cemetery hours after Esra's funeral, then they follow him home. But he manages to close the door on his demons.

After an on again, off again relationship, Captain Behzat proposes to the prosecutor, Esra. In the traditional Muslim engagement ceremony, a licensed official places the rings on both the bride and groom. The rings are tied to a long piece of ribbon, symbolizing the bond between husband and wife. The caravan procession to the wedding site is a sight to see. The convoy travels throughout Ankara, and the scenery is lovely. The reception is fun to watch, especially Harun, who takes over the dance floor and tells the orchestra to speed up the tempo and play a fast dance song.

The second season finale starts off with prosecutor Esra going to jail, for refusing to turn over crucial evidence that involves Behzat and his team. It's a tearful goodbye between Esra and Behzat as he walks her to the prison gate. Although Behzat regularly visits his wife in jail, prison life proves to be too much for Esra to bear, and it's equally difficult for Behzat, who feels both helpless and responsible for his wife's imprisonment. But a couple of months later, due to special circumstances, Esra is released from jail. However the happy reunion between Behzat and Esra turns tragic.

My dad and I are watching this show on Netflix, and we LOVE it!!!!!! Erdal Besikcioglu gives an excellent performance as Behzat, the police captain of the Ankara Homicide Bureau. Even though it's in Turkish, the English subtitles really help a lot. In this episode, a radio dj's young daughter is kidnapped, and Behzat and his team must track down the kidnapper. The supporting cast is great as well. Harun, the heavyset lieutenant, is always stuffing his face with food. And then, there's Vulture, the self-trained forensics expert turned detective. In this series, there were three seasons totalling 96 episodes. This show is extremely addicting, although each episode runs an average of 90 mins. if not longer.

The only reason why i'm giving this movie any stars is that Raphael is in it. Although the plot is pretty lame, Raphael did his best by playing a gambler turned priest, when his girlfriend gets killed by rival gang members. His acting and singing are really beautiful although there wasn't much of a storyline or original songs in the film. The only good part is when he sings Ave Maria (Note: not the one by Schubert which i really love). This is the 2nd film i've seen Raphael act. The first movie i saw was El Golfo, which was much better. If I was Rapahel, I would have fired my agent and looked for a new one. I know that he did other movies that are much better.

This is probably how American-born actress and singer, Romina Power, met her future husband, Albano, in this wonderful romantic musical. Althugh Albano does most of the singing in this movie, it is a delight. But first, I must point out that this film came out in 1967 and that Romina was only 15 or 16 at the time, while Albano has 8 years ahead of her. But only in a European film, could you get away with a teenage girl getting really romantic with an older gentleman. If you tried to do this in the USA, you'd probably end up in jail. This is why i'm giving this film 9 stars instead of 10 stars. Mexican actress, Linda Christian, who's also the mom of Romina (dont forget her dad was Tyrone Power!) in real life plays her mom as well in the film.

This is a beautiful love story between Pancho(Raphael) and Mary(Shirley Jones). Raphael's singing and acting in this beautiful film is absolutely fantastic. Shirley Jones was also good and this is right before she started "The Partridge Family". Pancho, a poor young man in Mexico falls in love with Mary, a rich American tourist who decides to get away from her job to take a vacation in Acapulco. It's a typical story of boy meets girl, boy loses girl to another man, then girl loses boy to another woman, and boy and girl catch up and break up, etc. You never know what their relationship will turn into but that's all irrelevant when you have 2 amazing stars like Raphael and Shirley Jones. There are 2 versions of the film, one in English and in Spanish. I saw the Spanish version last night and just to let you know that Shirley Jones's voice was dubbed over by a Mexican voice actress. Probably the English version has Raphael's voice dubbed over by an American voice actor. I'll keep you posted on this.

Another great comeback for Lee Majors and Lindsay Wagner as the bionic duo of Steve Austin and Jamie Sommers. Unfortunately, the movie tended to show more of Sandra Bullock at times than Lee Majors or Lindsay Wagner. Yes, a lot of people who commented here said that she was great. I agree her character was fantastic. Her character, Kate, overcame paralysis when she received a bionic leg. But I felt that her character was only supposed to be a supporting one here, not in practically every other scene. But I think this is probably how she got noticed in this film and made it to the big screen. The story is basically about a bionic villain who tries to assassinate Russian diplomats watching an olympic-type event. Note how they couldn't use the word, Olympics. Probably the IOC said no to the producers.

This was the romantic climax for Steve Austin (Lee Majors) and Jaime Summers (Lindsay Wagner). After rekindling their love for one another, Steve proposes to Jaime and she accepts. Unfortunately, a parachute accident severely injures Jaime, and Steve tries to convince his boss, Oscar (Richard Anderson) to allow Dr. Rudy Wells (Alan Oppenheimer) to rebuild Jaime into a bionic woman. Jaime fully recovers and trains to accompany Steve on a mission. Unfortunately, her body starts to reject her bionic parts which sends her back to the hospital. Despite Dr. Wells' efforts to save her, Steve says a very emotional goodbye to Jaime. Before Steve leaves the ranch that he once bought for him and Jaime, he takes one last look at the horses that they used to ride. This was probably the most emotional episode for Lee Majors and he should have been nominated for an Emmy award for this.

I'm giving this movie 10 stars even though Russell Crowe sucked as Javert. Hugh Jackman was the main highlight as the protagonist, Jean Valjean. Anne Hathaway really brought Fantine's character to life. Amanda Seyfried did her best as Cosette. For the humorous side, you had funny man Sacha Baron Cohen(Borat, Bruno, Ali G, etc.)as the innkeeper, and Helena Bonham Carter as his wife. "Master of the House" was the BEST here in the movie version of the Broadway musical. Hugh Jackman's portrayal is completely genuine and emotional. Russell Crowe's unimpressive last song in the movie took messy end. The stage version of his "dive" was much better. And if you look carefully, Colm Wilkoxon, who played the bishop in the movie, was the original Jean Valjean in the stage musical. Wilkoxon represented Ireland in 1978 in the Eurovision Song Contest. Overall, this movie grabs your attention from start to finish. I can't wait for this movie to come out on DVD. I'd definitely see this movie again, although next time in the morning, because night shows cost almost 12 bucks a pop.

Adriano Celentano gives a pretty fair performance as the unknown turned overnight sensational modern day messiah Joan Lui. This is another musical he wrote, produced, and directed a decade after Yuppi Du. Claudia Mori, his real wife, appears in the film as communist reporter, Tina Foster. The movie has plenty of singing and dancing, as well as anti-American propaganda in the second half of the film. I kept thinking i was watching Jesus Christ Superstar thru most of this film, since there's some scenes referencing to the breaking of bread and crucifixion of Christ. But after Lui's shot, you think he's dead..until he slowly gets up and then he turns to Superman, and just stands there even as shots are being fired at him. I have a lot of respect for Celentano as a singer and actor, but feel he could have done this film much better.

I saw this and thought i was watching Stanley Kubrick meets Hair. First of all, I have to give credit to Adriano Celentano for putting together this interesting musical film complete with dancing and musical sequences. Next, i have to give some credit to the costume designer for her choice of colors for Charlotte Rampling's clothes, and the color coordination of the actors in some of the scenes, especially for matching both Rampling and Celentano's gray costumes in one scene. Then, Claudia Mori, Adriano's wife in real life and Rosalinda Celentano, their real-life daughter for making the film enjoyable in spite of some of the characters which makes you feel like you're watching a Mad Max film. Finally, the film editing and of course special effects that has a genuine technicolor feel. But the best song in the film is of course the title song, "Yuppi Du". What the title means is beyond me, but the song brings out a message of peace and harmony. I would definitely say that this is Celentano's answer to the musical Hair.

Even though he was only in the first part of the 2-part miniseries, Randy Mantooth delivered an excellent performance in the portrayal of Abraham Kent. I think it's quite unfair that he was not even nominated for the Emmy for Best Actor in a miniseries. Delta Burke was equally impressive as playing Elizabeth. (Even though Delta insisted on wearing a wig because she refused to dye her hair blond)Elizabeth and Abraham eventually marry and set out into the west to make a better life for themselves. During their travel, they meet a Swedish couple, the Clappers, played by Robert Reed of "Brady Bunch" fame, and Julie Gregg, who played James Caan's wife in the first "Godfather" movie. The Clappers become fast friends with the newlywed Kents. Elizabeth gives birth to their only child, Jarrod, while Abraham and Mr. Clapper are busy fighting the Indians. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes when Elizabeth is murdered by Indians. But unfortunately, Abraham's troubles are far from over when he returns home in Boston with Jarrod. He gets heavily involved with liquor and prostitutes, and as a result, Gilbert makes his older brother leave the house and little Jarrod behind. The scene where the boy begs his father not to go is extremely heartbreaking.

Randy Mantooth gives an excellent performance as a guest star in this episode. He portrays Alan, a college student, who's also an expectant father. His girlfriend, Carol, who is also Dr. Welby's niece, is also a college student, and lives with Alan in his small apartment. Alan and Carol each have their own issues. Alan can't even tell his pregnant girlfriend that he loves her, and because of Carol's estranged relationship with her father, she's afraid of telling her dad that she's pregnant. At times Alan and Carol seem loving but then when she feels she's not getting enough support from her boyfriend, she shuts him out of her life. Alan even goes to an attorney to find out what his rights are in case Carol's not ready to be a mother. Suddenly, Carol goes into premature labor and the baby is born via c-section. When Alan finds out about the baby's birth, he rushes to Carol's side, but she has different plans. Dr. Welby has to convince the young unwed parents to do what's best for the baby, which creates painful consequences for Alan and Carol.

The final scene when Alan visits his baby in the hospital nursery is heart wrenching. Randy's performance at the end is unforgettable.

First of all, I am in LOVE with Michael Nyqvist. I just can't get enough of him!!!!!!! I first saw him in the Millennium trilogy, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, etc, he did with Noomi Rapace. Here he plays Daniel, a burnt-out conductor who moves back to his old town, after suffering a heart attack. He is then asked to give some suggestions to help improve the local church choir, which then turns into him leading the choir. He meets 2 ladies from the choir, Lena, a young musician, who falls in love with him, and Gabriella, a battered mother, who eventually flees from her abusive husband. Nyqvist gives a STELLAR performance here. The film makes you experience every kind of emotion possible. I laughed and cried. This should have won an Academy award for Best picture of 2004.
