Thief
(1981)

Nice movie...
"Thief" is an Action - Crime movie in which we watch a professional safecracker specializing on stealing very expensive diamonds. His life will be changed by his ambition of having a wife and kids but his former life and people won't leave him go away easy.

I enjoyed this movie because it had an interesting plot and it also contained plenty of action and suspense. The interpretation of James Caan who played as Frank was very good and he made the difference on this movie. Some other interpretations that have to be mentioned were Tuesday Weld's who played as Jessie, Jim Belushi's who played as Barry, Robert Prosky's who played as Leo and Willie Nelson's who played as Okla. The direction which was made by Michael Mann was very good and he presented very well his main characters and the plot, something that made possible for the audience to relate to him. To sum up, I have to say that "Thief" is a nice movie to spend your time.

An American Crime
(2007)

Very good movie...
"An American Crime" is a Biography - Crime movie in which we watch the real story of Gertrude Baniszewski, a housewife who locked in the basement of her house a teenage girl during the 1960s.

I have to admit that I did not know this story before watching the movie. The plot was interesting and since it was based on a true story it was too realistic. The interpretation of Elliot Page who played as Sylvia Likens was simply amazing and he made the difference. Some other interpretations that have to be mentioned were Catherine Keener's who played as Gertrude Baniszewski, Hayley McFarland's who played as Jennie Likens, Ari Graynor's who played as Paula Baniszewski and Scout Taylor-Compton's who played as Stephanie Baniszewski. All in all, I have to say that "An American Crime" is an amazing biography movie and I recommend everyone to watch it.

Cradle 2 the Grave
(2003)

Action but...
"Cradle 2 the Grave" is an Action - Crime movie in which we watch a jewel thief trying to find her daughter after he stole some black diamonds. Things getting more complicated when some other people get involved.

I have to admit that I did not have any expectations from this movie so, I was no disappointed. It had a simple plot that contained plenty of action and much of suspense and overall it was a good movie to spend your time with but nothing more. There were not any worth mentioning interpretations, Jet Li who played as Su did his part with plenty of fight scenes and DMX who played as Anthony Fait was also good for his part. Lastly, I have to say that "Cradle 2 the Grave" is an average action movie but good enough to spend your time with.

Z
(1969)

Against all...
"Z" is a Crime - Drama movie in which we watch the military and the government covering up a murder of a very prestigious politician and doctor while a magistrate tries to reveal it and prosecute everyone who is responsible for it.

I liked this movie because I found it very interesting and realistic. It had also an interesting plot that contained some plot twists that made it even more interesting while the direction which was made by Costa-Gavras was unique and very good. The interpretations of Yves Montand who played as Z, Irene Papas who played as Hélène, Jean-Louis Trintignant who played as Le juge d'instruction and François Périer who played as Le procureur were very good and their combination worked very well. In conclusion, I have to say that "Z" is an interesting drama movie to spend your time with.

Sardar Udham
(2021)

Amazing...
"Sardar Udham" is a Biography - Drama movie in which we watch the real story of Udham Singh who was planning the assassination of the man responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

I have to admit that I did not know anything about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and due to this movie I learnt a lot about it. In addition to this, there were plenty of information throughout the movie in order to guide the audience and to make them understand what was going on, something that I found very good because it made everything more clear. The direction which was made by Shoojit Sircar was very good and he did an excellent job on the way he presented both his main characters and the plot of the movie. The interpretation of Vicky Kaushal who played as Udham Singh was absolutely brilliant and he made the difference. Finally, I have to say that "Sardar Udham" is a nice biography movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it because more people need to know about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

Koe no katachi
(2016)

The voice...
"A Silent Voice: The Movie" is an Animation - Drama movie in which we watch a deaf girl being bullied by a young man and move away from the school. As time passes he finds himself on the way of understanding and redemption.

I liked this movie because it presented some very important subjects such as bullying and its influence on people. In addition to this, the importance of school life for a person was also presented on a very clear way and what can change a person. The direction which was made by Naoko Yamada was very good and she presented very well all these subjects along with her main characters, her personalities, their differences and their dreams. The voices of both Saori Hayami as Shoko Nishimiya and Miyu Irino as Shôya Ishida fitted very well to the characters and their work was also great. All in all, I have to say that "A Silent Voice: The Movie" is a nice animation movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it because it is not only another animation movie but a lesson for everyone.

The Age of Innocence
(1993)

Very good...
"The Age of Innocence" is a Drama - Romance movie in which we watch a young man being engaged to a woman while he is falling in love with her cousin during nineteenth-century in New York.

I liked this movie because it had a simple but interesting plot and contained plenty of unexpected events. It also had many intense moments and the direction which was made by Martin Scorsese was simply amazing and his touch was obvious through its whole duration. The interpretations of Daniel Day-Lewis who played as Newland Archer, Winona Ryder who played as May Welland and Michelle Pfeiffer who played as Ellen Olenska were very good and their combination worked very well while their character differences made this movie even better. In conclusion, I have to say that "The Age of Innocence" is a nice drama movie that was combined very well with romance, and I recommend you to watch it because I am sure you will enjoy it.

Lorenzo's Oil
(1992)

An amazing true story...
"Lorenzo's Oil" is a Biography - Drama movie in which we follow the real story of Lorenzo Odone, a 5-year-old boy who is diagnosed with a rare degenerative nerve disease. His parents try very hard to find help through information, research and doctors.

I found this movie very interesting because it is based on a true life story and it was very interesting. The plot and the information about this degenerative nerve disease and how it influences the person was very interesting and very informative about it. The interpretations of both Nick Nolte who played as Augusto Odone and Susan Sarandon who played as Michaela Odone were simply amazing and their work was simply excellent. The direction which was made by George Miller was very good and he presented very well the story of Lorenzo Odone, his illness and his family. To sum up, I have to say that "Lorenzo's Oil" is a nice biography movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it.

High Flying Bird
(2019)

Basketball lockout...
"High Flying Bird" is a Drama - Sport movie in which we follow the conversations between a rookie basketball player and his sports agent while an intriguing but controversial business proposition comes in front.

I have to admit that the plot of this movie was not very clear and created some plot holes that were not covered at all. In addition to this, there were plenty of subplots that were presented through the whole duration of the movie but it was not clear the reason behind them and many questions were not answered. The direction which was made by Steven Soderbergh was average and despite that he tried to present his main characters in a very clear way, he created a very confusing plot. All in all, I have to say that "High Flying Bird" is a movie that it's not for everyone and even if you are concentrate to it, it's highly possible to not be possible to understand it.

Atlantique
(2019)

Confusing...
"Atlantics" is a Drama - Romance movie in which we watch a young man leaving Dakar and his life there for a better future in another country. He leaves behind the love of his life who is promised to another man.

I did not know what to expect from this movie so, I did not have any expectations by it. I have to admit that the plot was confusing and it was not clear despite its start that was interesting. The direction which was made by Mati Diop was average and the plot was not clear but she tried to present her main characters in order to be possible for the audience to relate to them. The interpretations of Mame Bineta Sane who played as Ada, Traore who played as Souleiman and Amadou Mbow who played as Issa were good. Lastly, I have to say that "Atlantics" is a bizarre drama movie or maybe I did not understand it.

The Edge of Seventeen
(2016)

Loneliness...
"The Edge of Seventeen" is a Comedy - Drama movie in which we watch a high-school girl trying to balance her life after finding out that her best friend is dating her older brother.

I enjoyed this movie because it combined very well comedy with drama and it had a simple but interesting enough plot to follow. It was not boring because its main characters were interesting and their combination worked very well. The direction which was made by Kelly Fremon Craig was also good and she presented her main characters very well while she succeeded on made possible for the audience to relate to them. The interpretations of Hailee Steinfeld who played as Nadine, Haley Lu Richardson who played as Krista and Woody Harrelson who played as Mr. Bruner were very good. In conclusion, I believe that "The Edge of Seventeen" is a nice comedy, drama movie to spend your time with.

American Factory
(2019)

Nice documentary...
"American Factory" is a Documentary in which we watch a factory being opened in Ohio by a Chinese billionaire. Two thousand Americans are hired to work there but everything change when some problems occur.

I liked this documentary because it presented very well a real life case and the truth behind investments, goals and profit that a company needs to succeed in order to survive. The direction which was made by Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert was also very good because they presented very well the whole story from the start as a General Motors plant, what happened and it closed, and later the new investment of a new factory and the problems that occurred after some time. In addition to this, they presented the differences of China and United States of America regarding working hours / days and the way of working. Lastly, I have to say that "American Factory" is a nice and interesting documentary and I recommend it to everyone.

Shin seiki Evangelion Gekijô-ban: Air/Magokoro wo, kimi ni
(1997)

The end of an era...
"Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion" is an Animation - Drama movie in which we watch Shinji deciding the fate of humanity after he is forced by some conditions that changed.

I enjoyed this animation movie because it finished an era with a nice and interesting plot while it continued the success of this animation. The direction which was made by Hideaki Anno and Kazuya Tsurumaki was very good and they succeed on creating and presenting a nice result that finished a simply amazing TV series. Finally, I have to say that "Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion" is a nice animation movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it because I am sure you will enjoy it and it will make you think twice about some subjects and the future.

Okja
(2017)

Nice idea...
"Okja" is a Drama - Adventure movie in which we watch a young girl trying to find and retrieve her best friend, a large pig named Okja. She risks everything in order to find her friend and return back.

I liked this movie because it had a nice and very interesting plot while it presented in a unique way some very important subjects like hunger, the effect multinational companies have on climate change and people. The direction which was made by Bong Joon Ho was simply outstanding since he presented very well his main character and combined very well some disturbing truths and violence with comedy. The interpretations of Seo-hyun Ahn who played as Mija, Jake Gyllenhaal who played as Johnny Wilcox and Tilda Swinton who played as Lucy Mirando were very good and very different to each other. To sum up, I have to say that "Okja" is a nice drama movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it.

La casa de papel: El fenómeno
(2020)

A real Phenomenon...
"Money Heist: The Phenomenon" is a Documentary in which we watch how "Money Heist" became so popular around the world and the influence that had on people and in their lives. There are also some backstage scenes and some beautiful interviews.

I enjoyed this documentary because it contained plenty of information regarding the way that "Money Heist" followed from its start until the end of the fourth season. It also contained some very good interviews of the cast, something that I found very interesting since you could see and observe the main characters of the series talking about it and their feelings. The direction which was made by Luis Alfaro and Pablo Lejarreta was simply amazing and they presented very well both the actors/actresses of the series and the explained some parts of the plot. Finally, I have to say that "Money Heist: The Phenomenon" is a nice documentary and I highly recommend it to any "Money Heist" fan but I advise you to watch after finishing the series and not prior.

Encanto
(2021)

Beautiful...
"Encanto" is an Animation - Adventure movie in which we watch a young girl living with her family that every member of it has a power except her. She wants her family to understand and embrace her.

I enjoyed this animation movie because it had a simple but beautiful plot with nice music and songs. The direction which was made by Jared Bush, Byron Howard and Charise Castro Smith was very good and they presented very well their main character along with her dreams and fears, something that made possible for the audience to relate to her. The voices of Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel, John Leguizamo as Bruno, María Cecilia Botero as Abuela Alma and Jessica Darrow as Luisa were very good and fitted to their characters. Lastly, I have to say that "Encanto" is an amazing animation movie and I recommend everyone to watch it because I am sure that you will enjoy it and you will sing all the songs of it.

Coco
(2017)

Very good animation...
"Coco" is an Animation - Adventure movie in which we watch a young boy going to the Land of the Dead in order to find his great-great-grandfather, a famous singer, after he learnt that music is banned in his family.

I enjoyed this movie very much because it had a nice, interesting plot accompanied with beautiful music and songs. The direction which was made by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina was also very good and they both did an excellent job on the way they presented both the plot and their main characters. The voices of Anthony Gonzalez as Miguel, Gael García Bernal as Héctor and Benjamin Bratt as Ernesto de la Cruz were fitted very well. All in all, I have to say that "Coco" is a beautiful animation movie that will travel you and I am sure you will enjoy it.

The Professor
(2018)

Above average...
"The Professor" is a Comedy - Drama movie in which we watch a college professor living his life on the fullest after he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. His life is changed after that but also his personality.

I liked this movie because it had a simple but so true plot and also combined very well drama with comedy. The direction which was made by Wayne Roberts who is also the writer of it, it was good and he succeeded on presenting very well his main character, his fears, his dreams and his history, something that made possible for the audience to relate to him. The interpretation of Johnny Depp who played as Richard was very good and he made the difference on this movie. In conclusion, I have to say that "The Professor" is a nice drama movie and good enough to spend your time with.

Avengers: Endgame
(2019)

Masterpiece...
"Avengers: Endgame" is an Action - Drama movie in which we continue from were "Avengers: Infinity War" finished. The Avengers with the rest of their allies assemble to reverse what Thanos did and restore everything.

I have to admit that I was expecting this movie after watching the "Avengers: Infinity War" because I wanted to see what will happen next. So, I had high expectations by this movie and thankfully I was not disappointed at all by it. The direction which was made for one more time by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo was simply outstanding and they followed their successful pattern and way. For one more time the interpretations of the cast made the difference and their combination proved why was so successful through all those movies including "Avengers: Endgame". To sum up, I have to say that "Avengers: Endgame" is an amazing movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it.

Avengers: Infinity War
(2018)

Outstanding...
"Avengers: Infinity War" is an Action - Sci-Fi movie in which we watch the Avengers trying to defeat the powerful Thanos with the help of their allies. They have to try hard in order to defeat him and they have also to work together to succeed.

Since I had already watched the previous Marvel movies, I have to admit that I was expecting this movie and I had high expectations by it, and I was not disappointed. It had an amazing plot that contained some plot twists that made it very interesting and also plenty of action and suspense. The direction which was made by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo was simply amazing and they succeeded on making the audience follow their characters and be with them through the whole duration of the movie. Regarding the interpretations of the cast each and every one of them was also very good and did their best to have this beautiful result. Finally, I have to say that "Avengers: Infinity War" is the ultimate action science fiction movie and I strongly recommend everyone to watch it.

The Theory of Everything

Stephen Hawking...
"The Theory of Everything" is a Biography - Drama movie in which we follow the life of the famous physicist, Stephen Hawking, his relationship with his wife and his personal life in general.

I liked this movie very much because it was based on the life of a very important scientist and its plot was very interesting, too. His life and his career were both very interesting and the way it was changed by an unexpected illness. The direction which was made by James Marsh was very good and he presented the life of Stephen Hawking in a beautiful way while he succeeded on presenting his scientific career and his progress. The interpretation of Eddie Redmayne who played as Stephen Hawking (he won the Academy Award for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role) was outstanding and he made the difference. Another interpretation that has to be mentioned was Felicity Jones' who played as Jane Hawking. In conclusion, I have to say that "The Theory of Everything" is a nice biography movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it because Stephen Hawking was a very important scientist and worth learning about him and his career.

Requiem for a Dream
(2000)

Masterpiece...
"Requiem for a Dream" is a Drama movie in which we watch a group of people with different lives but something in common, their addictions. They try to balance them but everything change when they run deep.

I found this movie very interesting and I believe that it's a masterpiece because it had an amazing plot accompanied with some very good interpretations of its cast. The direction which was made by Darren Aronofsky was very good and he succeeded on presenting very well both his main characters and at the same time to build a connection between them and the audience. This has as a result, the audience to relate to the main characters and their lives. The interpretations of Ellen Burstyn who played as Sara Goldfarb, Jared Leto who played as Harry Goldfarb and Jennifer Connelly who played as Marion Silver were very good and the difference of the lives of these characters fitted very well. Finally, I have to say that "Requiem for a Dream" is an amazing drama movie and not for everyone because it contains plenty of hard scenes so, I advise you to be prepared for them before watching it.

Cast Away
(2000)

Adventure...
"Cast Away" is an Adventure - Drama movie in which we watch a man working for FedEx arriving on a remote island after a crash landing. He has to find a way in order to survive while he has to remain sane and in a good physical condition.

I liked this movie very much because it had an interesting plot and it contained also plenty of in tense moments that made the movie even more interesting. The interpretation of Tom Hanks who played as Chuck Noland was simply outstanding and he made the difference and elevated the movie. His story and his interpretation made us relate to him and follow him on his journey. Lastly, I have to say that "Cast Away" is an interesting movie and I recommend everyone to watch it.

Black Swan
(2010)

Amazing Natalie Portman...
"Black Swan" is a Drama - Thriller movie in which we watch a committed ballerina trying to balance her personal life with her career. She wins the leading role in a production of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" but her psychology change.

I liked this movie very much because it had an interesting plot that contained plenty of unexpected moments and plot twists that made it even more interesting. The interpretation of Natalie Portman who played as Nina Sayers (she won the Academy Award for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role) was simply amazing and she made the difference. Some other interpretations that have to be mentioned were Vincent Cassel's who played as Thomas Leroy, Mila Kunis' who played as Lily and Winona Ryder's who played as Beth Macintyre. In conclusion, I have to say that "Black Swan" is a very good movie and I recommend everyone to watch it because I am sure that the interpretation of Natalie Portman will leave you speechless.

Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

Speechless...
"Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)" is a Comedy - Drama movie in which we watch a former superhero actor trying to regain his reputation by writing, directing and starring a Broadway production.

I found this movie very interesting due to its plot that was different and unique. The interpretations of Michael Keaton who played as Riggan, Emma Stone who played as Sam, Edward Norton who played as Mike and Naomi Watts who played as Lesley were very good and the combination of all these great actors / actresses worked very well. The direction which was made by Alejandro G. Iñárritu was simply outstanding and he created a masterpiece since it is very different than any other movie, it's mysterious and full of suspense. Finally, I have to say that "Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)" is a nice movie and I recommend you to watch it because I am sure it will leave you speechless.
