How to Find Forever
(2022)

Low Quats? "How to find a bad actress."
There is no romance here and the plot line is old (city girl goes to the country and becomes a Mary Jane who saves a farm and falls for a farmer who wears clean clothes the whole film except for the formulaic bots).

The female lead is a bad actress who talks like a little girl and uses her big eyes weirdly. The male lead is a good actor and he deserved a better love interest actress. There is no chemistry between them and the lead actress annoying calls loquats (loh-cuts) "Low Quats" repeatedly as if she's never heard of the fruit she supposedly uses regularly.

She walks around with manicured nails and white clothing, high heels and other inappropriate footwear, and acts like she's a handy person who cleans and does other "farmy" things. When talking "romantically" there's the little girl voice each time as if people believe that alone shows you love someone. Unbelievable and a bad actress who did an injustice to the lead actor.

Con Girl
(2023)

The mother sent her child off with a stranger?
Watching this is painful with the trailer trash family who thought their daughter was going to be a model. The mother let her daughter just go off with a stranger because they thought their average looking daughter was going to be a rich famous model. It's hard to feel any empathy for people who would ignore so many red flags and blindly send their child off with someone like that.

The minor daughter was hanging out on social media chatting with strangers about being a model. They were greedy and thought they were better than they were and were just lucky that woman was not linked with a pedo ring or something.

The Sauce of Love
(2021)

Not good
Bad acting. There's NO chemistry between the lead actors. The female lead is annoyingly 'chirpy' and talks fast about everything. The words "BBQ sauce" are said more than words of love - and for no reason. Talking in a girly chirpy voice doesn't = romantic or cute.

It features illogical plot twists. For Example, the food truck has been sitting at the filming location for days, but suddenly the romantic female lead "chef" is a mechanic fixing the engine because it's "running hot". Then predictably, the male romantic lead (suit wearing big city CEO of a food company driven around in limos) is also a mechanic who knows how to fix engines?

Blegh it just goes on and on and did I mention BBQ sauce?

The Bubble
(2022)

Another nepotism piece by Apatow and family
This movie is NOT funny. How does he keep making movies with the same low brow "comedy" and get away with people paying to see it? I couldn't watch anymore when his daughter opened her mouth to say the 10th disgusting thing he said. It was clearly just another nepotistic film made for Judd's wife and daughter to get a paycheck and fame once again.

Both of his kids have had 'careers' built on his films. Disgusting language coming out of their mouths since they were little, and that's supposedly a basis to be considered actresses?

Toilet and sex humour thrown in again. Time to evolve Mr Apatow.

Knocked Up
(2007)

Toilet and s3x humour fest
This is a classic Apatow movie filled with toilet humour, jokes about m.sterbating, and kids saying "rude" things for shock value etc. Essentially, the plot features an unattractive pothead, loser bum who turns good when he accidentally "knocks up" a girl out of his league who then leaves him. These two dysfunctional people got pregnant while drunk, she knew he was a pothead and she still expected him to step up and be a "father"?

Then we have the future to aspire to as a family - shown here by Apatow's IRL wife and nepotism kids - acting as a dysfunctional family with Paul Rudd, as the once again classic Apatow henpecked man who deserves to lie to his wife and have "fun" gambling and drinking with his friends while she is at home with the kids.

The kids could have been replaced by other better child actors, but that wouldn't meet the goal of getting Apatow's kids into acting now would it? Kids he was happy having swearing in his movies along with his wife talking about m.sturbating another man.

To summarise, since this review needs 600 'characters', if you've seen one Apatow film, you've seen them all.

The Pacific: In the Wake of Captain Cook with Sam Neill
(2018)

Interesting
I enjoyed learning more about Captain Cook's journey and felt bad for what the English did back then (that we now have nothing to do with). I had no privileges from being white other than being abused by our Indigenous stepfather and giving him all of our money from working in a factory as a child with my siblings.

Do I blame all Indigenous people for our mistreatment? No, but I'm supposed to own something some other white people did? My kids and I are supposed to be now overlooked for education and jobs because of what some other white people did?

Watching Ernie Dingo repeatedly assume that Captain Cook was "one of yours" when talking to Sam was interesting considering Ernie is part white too.

There won't be any 'reconciliation' while some people selectively get blamed for everything so other people can benefit.

Made of Honor
(2008)

Sexist rubbish
Here we have a sleaze screwing his way through every woman in New York (and their family's maids), expecting his female friend to remain at his beck and call for her whole life while he roots around like a pig.

Women fight over him and one woman has a blog about him because STI potential is so sexy.

Female friend goes away to Scotland and the friends of sleaze tell him she won't want to be a barren singleton hanging out with him forever...and suddenly he realises he has feelings for her?

Then she comes back with romance novel-esque hero fiance' who she met a few weeks before when he saved her on horseback from some sheep blocking a road.

Badda-bing and sleaze wins out over that just because he's American and we all must root for the American even if he's a POS sleaze bag.

Station 19: Get Up, Stand Up
(2021)
Episode 12, Season 4

The ugly missing elephant in the room. The balance of truth.
So soon there'll be an episode entirely devoted to black people killing innocent black people? Again and again?

A little girl was killed this year sitting in her mother's car eating an ice cream. She was black. Her killer was black. He ran away like a weasel after killing her. I hate that unarmed people are killed by police, and I get it. What I don't get is the lack of anger by black Americans at the primary killers of black men, women and children in America. Other black people. Black men particularly.

Stand up for people when there is no law suit potential involved and I'll take you seriously.

Daddy Issues
(2018)

Boring self-indulgent snorefest
You can tell the lead actress was one of the writers. This boring self-indulgent movie was obviously made to be a Segway to better acting roles for her (and to highlight her comedy career (edit: 'career' because there was no comedy even in the stand-up routines that were supposed to be funny)).

In the movie a brat (who's obviously older than her 20's despite what they claim) blames trying to impress dead daddy for her screwing around, leaving someone who almost died, ruining her tenant's relationship by drunkenly dropping in on his dates with the gf...then at the end she "finds herself" because the male tenant gave her a 20 second quote featured in memes on Facebook (if she was sober enough to notice them).

Now someone has obviously been on here planting 10/10 typed reviews (I wonder who that could be).

God Friended Me
(2018)

Sacrificing atheists and gay people
It started out as religious rubbish and ended as religious rubbish. The atheist was bad for being an atheist. Then they brought in the lesbian sister who was "accepted" by the priest father. Then she went off to be a Nun like a good little lesbian conversion therapy candidate. There is no acceptance by religion is what this show tells people. Everyone else has to be flexible and give up their lives for God who pretends to be their friend and gets them to do what he wants. The lesbian and the atheist were sacrificed on the cross here, and the 'Christian' viewers didn't hang around to see it because they couldn't handle the 3rd episode where OMG a lesbian existed.

The Secret Daughter
(2016)

Started out alright, then Mauboy sang again and again
Why does she have to sing every episode? It loses connection to the characters when she sang every episode (like she sings IRL). Every single episode is like an ad for her singing, and shows that she can't act. Every plot line leads to a song theme she sings each episode. It lost me after the 3rd episode.

A Star for Christmas
(2012)

Cheesy and really bad acting
The main female actress Briana is a really bad actor. She looks like she's acting in a kids Disney channel show with fake smiles and awkward body gesturing. Fake cutesy talk isn't a display of adult love either. I couldn't get past her 'acting'. Is she related to someone in Hollywood to be getting roles like that? The rushed cheesy ending with everyone set up with each other was very fake too. That antagonist actress ending up with that guy is unbelievable and clearly was just a plot device for happy every after for the lead female and male characters. The lead male actor could have been played by any pretty boy too with the effort he put into that role.

Vai
(2019)

All over the place
This movie is a mess. I couldn't keep up with the Vai character because they used actresses who looked very different to each other, and supposedly older versions looked younger. When Vai's grand daughter coincidentally called Moana is off to NZ, she's older again than she would have been to start school there. Professional film reviewers say it's consistent etc, but I think they were caught up in the token feminism surrounding the advertising of this film. I'm a female and I don't like movies just because I'm told they're about female empowerment - when the main character gave up so easily on an education she earned when people were trying to offer help she wouldn't take. Then making her grand daughter go off for the same education away from her family and support (repeating history) is supposedly empowerment.

Positive reviewers were fooled by your typical nostalgic island singing and really bad "traditional" dancing and the colourful costumes, views and ocean (the best actor in this film).

Bride Wars
(2009)

Should be called bratty brides with 1st World problems
This movie is summed up by the review title above.

These two bratty women, planned their weddings together since they were kids (blergh). Then when they're finally getting married (their supposed aims in life), they have nothing better to worry about, and fight over a shared wedding date. These supposed friends set out to ruin the other "friend's" wedding. Meh.

Then one of them breaks up with the man she was marrying, because he suddenly turned controlling after 10yrs...and she turned into a banshee after supposedly being a people pleaser. Like screaming annoying banshee is better than people pleaser. She married the other brats brother (less than a year later) and they found out they were going to have babies on the same day. Lame.

Movies like this show how stupid and shallow Hollywood thinks women in general are.

Out of Time
(2003)

Waste of Time
A LOT stinks about this movie, but the thing that stinks and is most unbelievable is his wife going back to HIM...based on him saying something like, "People do silly things when they're still in love".

As if he did all of THAT because he was still in love with HER? He slept with a married woman, stole drug money for the married woman to have (fake) medical treatment, killed one person after another...because he was still in love with HIS WIFE?

Clearly a man wrote this, because no sane woman would believe that b.s and go back to her husband like a lap dog to sip from a phallic beer bottle.

Why was this movie made at all? It's boring, convoluted and features some very average 'acting' that some rubes paid to watch (not me). Denzel Washington's wife is in it, so clearly it was just a platform for her to 'act' and earn more money for their already wealthy household - that better actors could have used with a better script.

Waste of Time.

The Nutty Professor
(1996)

Obese professor wants a skinny woman
People here saying he had a good heart etc are deluded.

He was morbidly obese and wanted an attractive skinny woman from work based on how she looked alone. In essence, he was doing to obese women what was done to him.

The only obese women in this were his own family members (that were played by the same actor) and those on TV with the weight loss guru looking pathetic, and beneath him. He didn't go out looking for obese women to love (like he expected to be by the 'attractive' skinny woman). He thought he deserved "better".

Very unrealistic movie. A woman who's a 10 falls in love with a boring fat guy who didn't really do anything to appeal to her, other than turn up and put up with abuse from strangers like a "nice guy". I didn't feel sorry for him or laugh once during this mess, since he hated obese people too. All the fat jokes must be funny to people who found this hilarious? The f@rting scene etc? Juvenile and catering to some type of male audience who want skinny "attractive" women who the only ones in their league according to themselves.

How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming
(2019)

Really bad with accents that are odd
I couldn't get into this story with the accents all over the place. Most of the people sound American, even the daughter, then there's the son with the accent that sounds American with the odd Irish/Scottish combo thrown in at the end of sentences for supposed Norse people? American movie producers must feel like they need to "Americanise" everything because we're too stupid to understand English spoken with other accents for authenticity. They're making our kids unaware of other cultures too.

Fargo
(1996)

They call this an artistic masterpiece?
The Mona Lisa is an artistic masterpiece. The Mona Lisa is more than 500yrs old and people still remember that masterpiece of art. This movie is not a masterpiece and will be lucky to be remembered in 100yrs.

The Mona Lisa is a masterpiece in many ways and I could look at it for hours without being bored. This movie is 1hr and 38mins long and I turned it off after 40mins.

This is only an artistic masterpiece to narcissistic people who want to act like they're smart. The same people who used to watch Big Bang Theory and act like a Physicist just because they watched it. Enjoy being fake smart lol.

Married Life
(2007)

Sick and sickeningly bad.
What a grasping movie and really sick in the light of men like the two Petersons killing their wives and Chris Watts killing his wife and kids for his own happiness. The guy would have gone through with killing his wife if the other lady would have said yes to being with him. He didn't love his wife, or realise he needed her (like it says). Then at the end when Brosnan's character called him the most noble man he'd ever met I laughed. What a joke a 'noble' man would not be making excuses about killing his wife because she'd be humiliated if they divorced. However, a selfish man would go running home worried that his wife is going to die and he'd be without his own comfortable life after the affair lady said no. Saying a woman needs to be killed because they couldn't cope with divorce humiliation (while constantly talking about your own want for happiness) sounds like an excuse other wife killers have used so they must have watched this in their own victimhood.

Curly Sue
(1991)

You can't be rich, successful, unmarried, morally sound, child-free and happy in Hollywood
As I said Hollywood loves to make rich, successful, unmarried childless people look like they're all miserable, unscrupulous, and to "settle down" i.e. be happy.

Here we have a con artist who is somehow the good guy because he has a cute kid. He keeps stealing from people and then tells his daughter "we don't steal" when she went to steal from the woman. His limit is hot rich ladies who he will steal from by "falling in love" and mooching off them instead.

There's not really much that's cute about this movie beyond the appearance of the kid. She acts like a rude little brat and then smiles and we're supposed to think the whole package is cute.

Another example of Hollywood telling people you can't be rich, successful (your own definition of successful), childless and unmarried. You have to feel bad being alone, so you make kids with whoever you can find and make a market for their future movies (in the form of your own little consumers).

Unplanned
(2019)

Fake religious propaganda wrapped up in a (also fake) pretty actress box
The actress playing the 'protagonist' is nothing like the obese lady who stole medical records to give them to a group of clinic bombers. The first bit of fake.

The second bit of fake is the story overall. She left her job not because she got sick of seeing abortions, or finding a God, but because she was dissatisfied with her wage and conditions. Thirdly, the fetus (that looked like a fully formed tiny baby) trying to escape was fake beyond the CGI.

If you're going to dumb people down to scare them into being controlled, the least you could do is show what a basic think like a fetus looks like.

Maybe next they can make a movie about autism being caused by vaccines, or something else fictional so all the fetuses 'saved' from abortion can die from not being vaccinated.

Or maybe a story about a fetus "saved" from abortion that then has a life of neglect and abuse until they die (like too many other neglected and abused kids pro-life people never have to care about).

Tomcats
(2001)

Rubbish
Another movie about men using women. People wonder why we have a problem with women being treated as things to be raped and murdered. These movies are part of the reason. Movies where men degrade women and storylines involve men making bets using women. One man here even uses a woman to try and win the bet and is supposedly redeemed when he falls in love with (the usual sex symbol in these movies "shaved is the expression" herself).

I'm sure she must have some sort of acting range beyond breasts, behind, vag and flirty smile to warrant having all the money. Yet to see it though.

He's Just Not That Into You
(2009)

Desperate grasping women and all sorts of men. Sickening display
This was supposed to be about men not being 'that into' certain women, but some of the women weren't into the guys either with the frequency which they went from caring for one guy to caring for another.

Ginnifer's character reminded me of my sister who is so desperate for "the dream" that she puts up with rubbish from a procession of "men". Then unrealistically she had a man save her from men.

Jennifer Connolly's character was written as a miserable married woman and that misery was supposed to be more of a sin than a guy screwing around.

Scarlett's character was just a b word. She knew he was married and was so desperate for "the one" that she pursued a married man. When she figured out he wanted to stay with his wife she turned into a pariah or moral high ground (that she wasn't).

Jennifer Aniston's character was a selfish woman who wanted to get married to look better to other people. She was supposedly an intelligent accomplished woman, yet she didn't confront a male relative who picked at her for being single and old. Meh.

Drew's character was another desperate woman getting dove eyed over a guitar player, then dove eyed over someone else not long after.

This was a waste of talent and film.

Made in America
(2008)

Interesting and not at all racist propaganda against white people
This program is frank about the root causes of those two gangs. Some people can't handle seeing white people like themselves being abusive, they have to still blame it on the people they were abusing.

How people can watch the history of abuse and oppression of certain people in their country and complain about having to see it is beyond me. Look at the couple of comments here from people calling this racist propaganda, how is it racist to show white police abuse of black kids? Black kids unable to walk down a street without being hassled about where they were going? Being treated like criminals for looking a certain way? You can't make yourself look white so you can stop being picked on again and again. Imagine that hopeless feeling.

How can people complaining about this act like a victim of a documentary? You aren't being thrown in jail for looking white. You are less empathetic than the people in this documentary.

People complaining about this program are clearly racists themselves if they can't even admit what our white relatives did to other people. I'm ashamed at the history we have and that doesn't make me a "self-hater". Those abusers may look like me, but they aren't me and I don't need to excuse their behaviour to make myself feel better.

Kids are stuck in still stuck there today, they can't walk down a street to school without being scared, they have to act tough and that in itself would drive you mad (as an adult). Kids who see no hope around them don't learn anything useful in school. They also have a poor quality education system and teachers, and have older gang members trying to use them and so on, so they're stuck.

The justice system created what they were scared of when they stopped kids walking down a street while they were doing nothing wrong. When they didn't allow them into the supposedly Christian Boys Scouts? Good lord. Now some white people say they were "proved right". Ah no, they created the mess and blame part of the mess for it.

Nothing will change without people stepping over the lines and treating each other as people who have dreams and hopes like themselves and not being scared that they want to steal what they have. America is hardly great at all (was it ever for everyone?).

A Christmas Romance
(1994)

Cheesy and unrealistic
I was a child when this movie was made. Hollywood movie plots told single mothers they needed a new father for their kids (like they still do today). So many kids have been abused in so many ways because there are men (and women) around who prey on single parents by pretending to like their kids. That is the vibe I got during this whole movie. Single man from the city is suddenly happy to have kids who aren't his. Holding hands with a little girl and calling her sweetheart etc. Single parents all have to be careful of predatory people while Hollywood tells you your kids need a father or mother with these unrealistic love interests. No one can be 'alone' (or uncommitted) according to Hollywood.
