Revenant
(2012)

Great little hidden horror
I love horror films. I watch them all... big budget, low budget, no budget. Great ones, poor ones... I don't care.., I'll watch them all,

This film is low budget... drags a little at the start with random unnecessary dialogue and characters that seem pointless (appear and then never to be seen again). It's pretty one dimensional with no sub plots, but...

... I loved this little horror film. It scared the living 💩 out of me, made me jump and scream and left me slightly creeped out as I went to bed.

So many big budget horror films these days can't even get the basics right. This film did. Loved it!

Nice signposting
This film is described as a black comedy.

Black - yes, comedy - no!

It's dark, it's depressing, it's a film about mass suicide. The story spends more time on the "kill pill" than on the last day on Earth (which could have given this film a bit of a push and possibly the humour it promises).

Throughout the film I couldn't help think that it was a full out metaphor for what's playing out in the World today... "trust your government - take the 'kill pill'".

Yes - think I'll pass on the film and just like the only smart one in the film, trusting my government and their "kill pill" .

Bohemian Rhapsody

Rami Malek you rock!
Wow. What a truly inspiring film. Made me feel that being eccentric and different is ok as long as you are you! The film brought so many emotions - laughter, sadness, joy - very heart warming. At times I forgot I wasn't actually watching the guys from Queen - they all looked so like them - especially May and Mercury. I thought Rami rocked the role. Massive respect to this guy! Would happily pay to go back in and watch it again! My film of 2018!!!!
