  • I was extremely disappointed with this movie. Stated as based on true details, but exceptionally hard to believe that is the case here. Some ridiculously stupid lines and onerous mistakes in reference to the financial markets. Feel like script writer did absolutely no research. Easily one of Emily Blunt's worst turns. And absolutely ridiculous turn of events. Chris Evans was surprising, in what seemed like a very different role for him, perhaps that's why I didn't quit before the ending. Every chance they had to make this sad movie have a little heart, they blew it. You will need a pain killer if you last through this movie.
  • Pretty much the only notable thing about this film is the atrociously bad pretend computer typing. Don't any actors use a laptop IRL? Many learn piano for a role, you think they could learn to type? Over 1/2 the population uses a computer, at least make an attempt, super distracting in this film. Surprised Aubrey showed up here. Overall, very disappointing. Hugh Grant is quite charming. Very campy, can't decide if all the camp is intentional, for Guy Ritchie I have to assume yes. But if it's so questionable, I feel like it missed the mark. Turkey makes for an attractive and interesting backdrop. Quite a bit of swallowed dialogue. Feels like film was put together quickly/haphazardly, perhaps strike avoidance? Statham could have phoned this in. With the limited offerings currently available it was enjoyable, but wouldn't go search this out, popped up on Starz. My 6 is quite generous given strong cast.
  • It is impossible to believe that this show is from the same Network as Succession and White Lotus. Someone definitely needs to get fired. Ridiculous plot line, horrific acting. The writing is juvenile. (Did I hear The Weeknd say Cart-ay Blanche, I don't know if it was a mistake, on purpose, or just bad editing). A dance and signing lesson may have helped the lead, but doubtful. Even gratuitous sex, adds nothing. It's not the genre that some critics are saying is the reason other raters are panning it. That is not it. This is just lousy tv. This show is your Sunday night? Are you kidding? How insulting to your viewers. This shouldn't even be streaming-only. Just yank it totally. As this show did to paying viewers. Worst offering from HBO in decades, in fact there are no comparable failures in HBOs history.
  • I was so utterly disappointed and angry frankly. Many times movies from qreat novels, don't quite cut it, but this was a debacle. Daisy phoned it in, or just texted it in. The two boys should go back to acting class. The location should have played a much bigger character in the film. So many wasted opportunities. Was shocked that Reese let this be released as is. Total disservice to the author, and all the readers who loved this novel. I was expecting something along the lines of Message In A Bottle, came nowhere close. Don't waste the two hours, you'll regret it. And if you loved the book, don't do it.
  • This movie moved me to no end. There are so many layers here, all intriguing and fulfilling. This movie comes extremely close to answering the biggest human questions. Very gently and humbly told by a frank and empathetic storyteller. I'll be recommending this film to everyone I encounter.
  • I have never been so jealous of an actress absolutely slaying a role. Where has she been? This show is unique, original, and visually stunning. Nice foray for HBO.
  • I thank HBO running this movie recently, especially during the pandemic. I loved this charming film it's first time out, but is definitely worth a second/third watch. An unusual role for Ryan G., that I think he nailed. Unusual plot, with ,any a good message. Kelli Garner, Emily Mortimer and Patricia Clarkson all have beautifully nuanced performances as well. With all the stress lately, watch this film, smile and feel good!!
  • I am more enthralled with each episode. Charlotte Hope is a powerhouse, in an extremely demanding role. The costuming is exquisite. I can't understand why there is not more Emmy buzz.
  • Stunning photography and thoughtful narration. Practical reasons to discontinue an researched concept.
