Gippi

Youthful and Fresh
I watched this movie months after the release of this movie..few things you need to be prepared for before you watch this movie is the new and fresh faces who would be acting in this movie for the first time so don't expect aamir khan level of grip over scenes... however having said that all of these faces have pulled off fantastic performances and they LOOK GOOD AND GENUINE ..in the screenplay.. story line - well knit and picked from days of confusion from our own youth and school life.. although i am not sure if Indian kids are as advance as portrayed now so i cant comment about situation where kids talk about puberty sex love dating as openly as displayed but again when i grew up there it was different.. Music ... the movie songs have been dedicated to shammi kappoor era and i i really enjoyed the music from teesri manzil dil tera deewana so it was fantastic touch Kids look like school kids and act like one too unlike alia bhatt's movie where kids act like university students.

Overall worth a watch, it tickles and makes you smile, very fresh and engaging. thank you for this movie, i am not a big critic with brief analysis but i hope this helps who ever wants to form an opinion whether or not to watch this. I suggest Go watch and have fun.

Himmatwala

80's Reloaded has some good moments
I have seen the Jeetu starring Himmatwala. And i have to admit the kind of humor and typical humor of 80's. It has been captured well and reincorporated in this project by Sajid Khan. In my opinion because the audience has grown from 80s and has become more mature. It might seem too lengthy or boring or senseless. But that is how movies of 80;s were at that time. If you have patience and if you were charmed by 80s era. You will absolutely love the movie and think of it as a visual delight. Humour fun and lot of drama with fantastic comedy scenes. Music has been themed after 80's era as well. Very peppy and upbeat music although fewer songs would have done more justice as audience is losing patience these days. I hope it appeals to audience who were born before 1990's. I am sure Iphone might not relate to it much.

Old Steak needs to be dumped - that steak is sharukh
3hrs spent in a cinema hall on an Diwali eve sheer disappointment. SRK needs some body else to tell him that he needs lessons in re inventing himself maybe he should watch kabhi haan kabhi naa again. About the story, it would be a hit if we were in 1995, but definitely not in 2012. Average music, poor storyline. yuk acting. stunning locations. It has been also alleged that movie production used malpractice to prohibit son of sardar to be screened in movie theaters. Now looking at the premiere' pictures I cannot see anyone who is sad enough to see yash ji go away. even sharukh looked more than happy that the old horse is out. anyways what a waste of everything.

Don't watch it this week , when you are really bored and you feel like watching old movie thats when you should watch it , but that will probably be in a month from now.SRK i pity you you are in a state of denial.

meet the other 70 % of population in one movie - keh ke le li :)
one word for people who wonder why it rates above 8 on IMDb is - if you make films which are real they will hit the target. This movie is about real people REAL LANGUAGE real stupidity and at time real humor. It provides insight for everyone into rural lower and middle class who travel in local train and still go to Melas ! wear floral print shirts and have attitude to die for.

watch it once and i can bet you want to travel in the cheapest class in Indian railways. To see how real it really is. meet the other 70 percent of India !!! Songs are straight from heart of rural India. Action will blow you away. comedy will keep you cracking every 10 minutes well orchestrated movie look forward to more of these. A real cult movie in Indian cinematic history.

Powerful Subject , peppy caste , something Horribly went wrong !
Alright much awaited prakashjha movie on NAxal movement hit the screens this week. I have to admit that the trailers did create quite a stir and made it much awaited flick post dushera. However , something went horribly wrong with the movie and prakash jha. What the hell is a Item number doing in an INTENSE movie ?? Poorly written dialogues waste competent actors like abhay, manoj and Arjun efforts to give some substance to the film. It could have been another feather in prakash jha's cap but i think he overdid it. I am highly disappointed with prakashs direction this time .watch the 1st half and sleep through the second you will still be able to get your penny counted for.

Karan needs a brake
Karan needs to understand that what used to sell 5 years back with plots and drama of K3G will not sell every time You cant sell lollies to kids who have grown up. I felt the movie lost connection with the Indian audience when they started showing foreign stuff in the movie, like college arranging prom nights and triathlon. Then there are scenes where people start getting emotional for things that don't concern them and not to mention the half a dozen songs squeezed into the movie, on top of that half these songs are remake of old Hindi songs. This movie lacks innovation, acting, good story or a good casting. tough luck karan i hope he does'nt go in depression after this movie he is a softy after all.
