Mad Max: Fury Road
(2015)

rating shows how pathetic modern audience is
this movie is an utter garbage, nothing about art, nothing about acting, nothing about a decent plot, and nothing about logic...

the fact that it is being liked by younger audience is a solid proof how PATHETIC film watchers have become, and crashing a few fancy toys in an absolutely lunatic way is enough to make people bite their ears and go "cooooooolllllll"

as years go by i am simply disgusted how a great audience of adult- children were formed, how film makers are abusing and farming this heads on, and there aren't simply enough people with brains left to form a decent population to show that this won't work... or it isn't right...

there was a time in past, where film makers felt the responsibility of educating and leading the people.. not farming them like a herd of cattle...

Humans
(2015)

Promising, but could have been better
this is one of the rare times where i see a remake, and i am not angry. The original Swedish series were truly enjoyable, innovative, creative, and brilliant. Despite the little budget and small targeted variety of audience, they have done a great job, and impressed all types of people all over the world. When someone takes another person's idea, or an existing creation and reproduces it; this is the message he gives out to the world..

"hey you've done well, but i can do it better"

So the audience who are aware of the original work, and loved it the way it was, are and will be nervous critics.. i'd say proceed carefully, and refrain from turning to the dark statistical cliché consumptive side of USA filming.

I sensed the effort of preserving the soul of the show from the original. That is good. Having bigger budget, and access to better studios and filming capabilities, i am hoping that this great series will be remade to reach to a much larger audience.

Not a bad start, but could have been heaps better as this isn't writing a new song, it's like singing an already nice song.

Please impress us all.. Do it better if you can :)

7/10 from me for now.

Defiance: The World We Seize
(2015)
Episode 1, Season 3

lost budget? or manic Monday?
Defiance has been a pleasant show, it's not necessarily a superb performance, but it has not been a bad one either.. i enjoyed watching pretty much all episodes so far.. though, what the heck is wrong this season?

Nolan and irisa saved and out so strangely, new race just show up out of nowhere and performs a series of nonsense actions.. whats up with weird dramas ? what with the senseless and brutal killings? why kill so many important characters like popcorn... all one after another in two episodes.. firing actors? they quit? this first two episodes felt so out of place, so unusual compared to what we have been used to with the Defiance.

this two episodes feels like raw food, nothing is properly prepared, nothing is properly intoruced, its like chopping a lamb and putting on the table bam!!! no cutlery no dishes, go ahead eat boys..

what happened to manners? what happened to filming art? It feels like director is having a manic Monday, after the holiday.... or maybe angry with the sponsors or sth...

Sense8: I Can't Leave Her
(2015)
Episode 12, Season 1

A promising disappointment
i have watched all episodes within the last two days, so i have a pretty fresh memory of all. The first few episodes were promising, the middle 5-6 were hard to bear with, the last 3 were OKAY, just okay nothing more, the finale was supposed to be seen thru all the episodes. so is this a great finale for a great show? NO its not.. its a reasonably good finale for an awfully performed show that spits on the great concept, good plot, and probably a good lot of budget that i predict from good filming quality, and decent performance from main actors.

Seeing this show here rated so high is nothing but a sign of voting manipulation.. which is becoming more and more popular on IMDb lately.

the good, the bad and the ugly about the whole season The good, Interesting concept, promising plot, good filming quality, good performance from main characters, nice landscapes, and visuals.

The bad Annoying level of random, irrelevant sexual scenes and nudity, abnormally high level of bisexuality thrown on our faces, annoying flashbacks from every character that seem out of place, severely boring and dull episodes, extremely slow progress and development of the overall plot as well as character's personal presentation. Irrelevant big words thrown here and there around the episodes continuously. Poorly planned action scenes despite the reasonable visual performance. A lot of irrelevant blahblah that doesn't contribute to character presentation, doesn't make me feel attached to anyone in the show.. despite some good backgrounds for the characters having thought of the way they are introduced to us is extremely lacking of any impression.

The ugly, Stories.. stories.. stories.. more than half of the total time of total episodes is character's continuously telling some bullcrap story from the past,, my dad was.. my uncle was.. when i was a kid,, my sister was... he said.. she said... Honestly.. sickeningly repetitive... some episodes were difficult to not to FF which is something i rarely do even with the worst flicks.

overall the idea is good.. and i can see the money spent, there is effort, but its constantly failing to perform the best.

i can see a good idea was picked by a group of statistics lovers, and just the common assumption in the industry that "as long as what you sell matches to browse results, it should work" sort of soulless production was performed.

We can see this in choices of main characters, the cop, the criminal, the junkie, the innocent, the poor, the gay girl, the gay man... smells statistics?

how about the White, the Hispanic, the Black, the Asian, the European, The Russian, The Indian ??

Statistics are fine if worked around correctly, its not a bad thing to draw a picture where everyone can relate to some part of it, but if you make cheap dishes, and present them in ideal plates..

that doesn't necessarily make a good dining experience.

Lets hope second season will fix these, and improve.

Sense8: What Is Human?
(2015)
Episode 10, Season 1

9.1 for this ep from users? Honestly ??
it all started slow and boring, with boring personal stories being told again and again just like past episodes..

the part that lito faces who he is, and saves his friend, and wolfgang stands to the criminals, and how they exchange help is okay, even though some wording is awkward.. but where the heck did the classical concert scene came from? what with the vaginal birth scenes, bleeding female organs, ?? i simply felt disgusted, it was so out of place for this show, yes.. awkward sexual scenes have been there just thrown on our faces here and there almost randomly with very little sense.. but showing all 8 of the characters born, in gore and blood, in a ten minute session ...????????

i am curious, who is voting for this show? netflix has a network of people who is job is to place positive reviews? this episode gets a 1 from me... we shall see for the future

show began okay, then began to get on my nerves after third, and last few have been extremely testing my patience.. if i weren't curious whether the good concept and plot can be saved or not, and also for the sake of good filming qualities, and good acting from the main characters (not the rest) i would have long closed it for good.

Sense8: Death Doesn't Let You Say Goodbye
(2015)
Episode 9, Season 1

stories.. stories.. stoooriiiiiiiesssss
i will write a more extended review at the season finale, but at this stage i just paused the movie and just want to vent..

enoooouuughh with the bloody stories.. everyone is telling a story ever second minute, its sickeningly overwhelming, boring , empty, senseless, where is the plot? where is the development? what's the meaning and point of people continuously yapyapping , blahblahhing, and telling irrelevant stories ... for the past 7 episodes this has already been happening.. had already been tiring, last episode there was a bit of an action, i hoped finally people would begin responding to the situation they are in, but no .. awkward unquestioning, awkward meetings out of blue just never end.. every character starts talking with a freaking story from their past... you can't make a good soup from 2 ingredients..

The Walking Dead: Them
(2015)
Episode 10, Season 5

Why tell us what we already know?
Slightly better and slightly less annoying than the previous episode, obviously someone is hearing fans going "what the heck are you doing?"

yet.. still far from back in track.

We have been watching these characters for years now, we know they don't give up, we know they cling to one another, we know they are fighters, we know this we know that.. these emotions have been intelligently introduced to us by "not saying what we need to think or feel" by clever, and amazing episodes. You could work around a tad bit on Maggie , Daryl and Sasha grieving but thats all.. these people lost so much in the past, and had never been shaken so badly.

please don't force us what you think we should feel... by going round and round in speeches that neither us nor the cast is used to. I could almost see the cast having difficulty acting their parts..

it was still not bad, and i was reasonably happy till you did it again.!!!

what with the barn and storm ? What with another illusion like scene, okay i get it you want to show us again by poking us in the eye with how they see and run to block the barn door, after all the blah blah emotional speeches everyone did , so barn door is the visual moment where we fall in tears... NOT.. sorry...

and again, even though zombie factor is a bit better this week, there was still too much camera focus on zombies at some scenes. Like the poor woman in the car boot, honestly... Maggie is far too toughened to be shaken badly by it.. so are we... 10 seconds in that scene is "ENOUGH" we get it, it will do the impact.. no need to triple stitch it till it starts backfiring.

we have been spoiled with realistic events and happenings that make us feel that, not stitched up fake and unrealistic supposedly emotional scenes that common statistical Hollywood movies are full with.. this is not a 90 minute movie.. this is a marathon...

and again , we have been spoiled by realistic events, that make sense, and appear probable.

here you show me a scene, where we have no idea what happened at night with the barn door barricade, people wake up, open the door, and i see massive trees who supposedly miraculously and selectively got knocked down to individually target and remove the zombies pushing on the door away and save the night.

what do you think TWD fans say out loud when they see a scene like that?

ears rang much this week?

referring to my review last week and repeating "don't fix if its not broken"

The Walking Dead: What Happened and What's Going On
(2015)
Episode 9, Season 5

Don't fix it, if it's not broken!!
i'm not a person who memorizes all the actor names or director names, but i watch a ton of shows regularly and been doing this for years. i can't say i am a good writer, so i will just say what i feel.

watching this episode i asked the question within the first 5 minutes.. "did they change director or something?"

scenes, camera angles, how zombies react felt completely different. i've also noticed the boosted levels of gore, gross, and panic moments like foot gets stuck just the zombie gets near, zombie face closeups when its biting its own teeth attacking... etc etc.

frankly .. i'm unimpressed, it felt like i am watching a cheap midnight show rather than a great show that gave us some amazing episodes.

please.. please.. don't do these if you want to keep this as a success

1- don't increase the gore and horror to stupid levels, as i think the success of this show comes from good balance of drama and horror, at most cases i pity the zombies, extra fear factor might create some excitement for a short time, but soon will set the new norm and lose its function... changing the environment will upset all the balance and turn this show in a cheap copycat.

2-don't go silly with too much "just about to" situations.. honestly.. you have the video game version for age groups who love that and can stand it ...

3- flashbacks, weird illusions? where did that come from? felt so out of place, and i thought i was watching another show for a moment.

if you want to do some new stuff.. go ahead and to it in a spin off.. this show has been around so long, and is already at its climax.. since you cannot generate more human population to watch it, you are already selling it to the maximum numbers..

you know the good old saying "Don't fix it, if it's not broken"

we love it the way it is...

Da Vinci's Demons: The Prisoner
(2013)
Episode 3, Season 1

why don't you people stop rating trade marks !!!!!!!!!!
okay.. its not a bad flick. but its nothing special either.. its hard to understand why some of you people out there go ahead and give ridiculously high ratings here.. whats the big deal with all the da vinci trade mark ??? you made to believe that is some sort of bloody special deal..

stop performing a "mediatic IQ" and actually rate something objectively for what is what it is..

i've seen heaps better flicks rated way lower.. and this is not what this show deserves.. i hope it will get better.. but for the time being,, it is far from what i thought or was made to believe what it was..

good luck " heaps "

Simply Brilliant !!!!
no statistical scenes, no fancy fighting, no fancy lights, explosions, no expensive effects, no fancy nothing.. no propaganda, and no bloody Apple ads.

its a simple but brilliant and gorgeous show that should be a good lesson to mollywood film and show makers.

writing is excellent, chronology of events and how they stitched together is excellent, acting is excellent for a show, i would think the budget is nothing big, but the makers did an excellent job in keeping everything as real as can be without spending millions.

please share and let all your friends across the world know about this show, i feel obliged to spread the news and get everyone hooked on this excellent work so we can see more seasons coming, and do hope to see more good sci-fi shows from all over the world, where all cultures can contribute their own unique thinking patterns to film making

Spartacus: Blood and Sand: Enemies of Rome
(2013)
Episode 1, Season 3

tired of slow motion fighting and constant whoooaaaa grooaaaa
i loved the past seasons.. it was very upsetting that we lost the first actor, but producers did a good job introducing the new one, and it wasn't hard to adapt back to the show with the new spartacus.

i was impatiently waiting for the new season.. and it came with quite a bit of disappointment.

the story line lost its perfection with the last season. and just like many other good shows, as new seasons came up, they simply "screwed up" .

in almost every fighting scene, we see characters with full open mouth screaming their guts out in slow motion.. really.. tiring.. the success of a flick is not to repeat the same thing over and over again. i honestly don't understand why producers cant see that, and stuff us up with whatever we statistically liked here and there in the shows or movies until we throw up.

i loved spartacus s1 and s2 for many reasons, it was fun, exciting, a lot of interesting and original characters were involved.

last season.. i watched it for the sake of the older ones. bearably good, but disappointing compared to previous seasons.

The Last Stand
(2013)

Thank you Arnie
finally i am happy to see Arnie in a movie that he deserves to be in. plot is good, a lot of surprising creativity in action. not amazing, nothing entirely new but good enough to keep you entertained and interested. in most ways the movie is realistic in how a 60 year old tough-old-boot sheriff is presented, the way he acts and fights does make sense and feels real, overall the movie succeeds to make you ignore the silliness that the bad guy travels in a supercharged car, and no satellite surveillance, and the specops drive trucks to get to the trouble zone and there is only one helicopter utilized to chase the worst criminal ever in the country.

last few movies Arnold acted in was honestly a disappointment for me, i in fact had trouble understanding why the heck he would accept to play at all.. but in this one, i feel he is coming back. it is naturally understandable that he has been a politician and a government man for so many years that the acting ability is not where it used to be, but he is an icon for action movies, and the fact that he is given a proper role and presented properly is good enough to cherish and enjoy the movie all along. i thank the makers that they gave Arnold a leading role, and made the movie around him rather than including him. Actors like Arnold are undying icons that is carved in the minds of many generations and i doubt if anyone ever will be known as permanent as they are.

too much has been discovered, and too many talents are out there these days. its no longer a surprise to see a massively muscular man, or a great singer, or a great dancer.. the more people succeed doing a certain thing, the less chance there will be an ultimate star. so lets make the best out of the ones we already have while we can.

keep up the good work !!

The Avengers
(2012)

might not be a masterpiece, but its pretty close in its own sense
i ve seen a couple of negative reviews about this movie in here.. people complain that its not unique like The Star wars, or Matrix or similar movies that came out there with very inventive ideas and gave us something new to think about..

well.. this movie isn't that, and its not supposed to be either.. anyone who is somewhat familiar with comic book characters, do know who these guys are. and for so many years we have been craving !! to see a good flick where they are brought together with good effects, good plot, and good action. the idea has been out there for decades.. we don't want anything new from it, we just wanted what we already know to be presented in a nice package .. and yes.. they did it

The Avengers answers these all.. maybe not to perfection, but far the best so far. i had a great time watching this movie.. i enjoyed the action, i enjoyed how V.S. between heros was incorporated, and i loved the great sense of humor.. i laughed a god damn lot.. and in the end, i was satisfied, and yes, time after time i went back and saw it again.. hell yes.. if a movie makes me do that, in my standards.. its a good one.

certain things could have been done better.. of course. i am damn sure that every director watching the final product says the same thing. but it just costs tons of money to go back and shoot a scene again.. that is understood. just to give a general idea from my side

1: Loki is too weak.. and does not really pose a challenge. the main threat ends up being hordes of invaders

2: Thor launches a leaping blow with his hammer, and Cappy just blocks it with his shield causing a huge blast of sound waves.. well.. thats a bit silly :) but in the end, he is captain "America" isn't he !!!

3: Thor falling down in the glass cage.. and seemingly that cage was designed to hurt Hulk who happily jumps down that high butt naked anyways.. well doesn't really add up..

4:the gigantic flying craft .. well.. too much time spent around it, and its not really exciting or convincing at all.. i hoped that it wasn't used at all

5: in the end Iron Man falling off the sky is quite a bit "cliche" but Hulk saving him saves the moment.. who ever thought of that "bravo"

maybe bits and pieces more. but not worth mentioning

is this a great movie ? probably no. Is this a great comic movie? Hell Yes !! 9/10 from me

Keep up the good work !!

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning
(2012)

how much B.sht can you put up with just to see a bit of fight and pre-loved actors
this movie really tested my nerves, and stamina to sit and patiently wait till the end. the first 2/3rds of the movie is hard to bear with.. its slow, boring, cheap, foggy and dull and the producer confuses an action movie with paranormal activity VIII.. later on, a tiny bit of action comes in, some relatively good fight scenes kinda give you the hope that they might actually stitch everything up a bit.. but no, not really.

they really saved all the penny they can on film musics, as mostly it sounds like whhoooonns and whheeens.. like a 4 year old mocking around with a keyboard.

every now and then, there is a tiny piece of scene where you kinda like, but overall, the acting, plot and scene quality is so poor, that you cannot get over the impression that you get from a cheap-midnight movie on TV.

there are some unique and interesting aspects about it.. but what good is a piece of good thread if the sawing machine is crap and you cant get a straight line out of it...

some of the fighting scenes were above average, but overall its far from impressive, as most of action movie fans, can come up with similar scenes merely copying from past movies.. nothing to praise the director here. (honestly mate.. don't shoot another movie, not that i think you can unless you pay for the movie and for your salary)

if you rent or buy it cheap.. fine.. worth fast forwarding around to see the once loved actors. but don't expect the good old days..

Skyline
(2010)

creative, interesting, surprising and hell of a good work for the budget
i ve seen this movie a while ago, then it just happened that i saw the title on IMDb, and i just couldn't believe the 4.4 rating.. i had actually enjoyed this movie.. doubting myself, i sat and watched it over again, this time will full attention to detail and acting.

honestly.. what were you people thinking rating this beautiful flick so low? most movies that i cant stand watching more than 5 minutes are rated better... if you have rated this so low, here i bet you, you ve seen it till the end, you sat there and watched the whole thing without getting up for a beer, and then at the end, you got disappointed.. you got upset because your nukes didn't work, and your main character wasn't able to shoot down alien motherships with lightning bolts shooting out of his ass. and you just couldn't take it that a movie doesn't have the "happy ever after" hammered and carved in your brains in almost every statistically formulated Mollywood movie.

acting isn't perfect but its good. plot isn't perfect but its interesting. things could have been better. but how many movies can you show me that is more interesting with less budget.

it was interesting the first time i saw it, and still interesting the second time.. and trust me, it is not damn easy to make me watch a movie twice. on a normal day, i would rate this plot 8 and movie overall 6

but seeing how unjustly this movie has been rated here.. there you go 10/10 from me.

Looper
(2012)

nice but has its LoopHoles
it's not an easy thing to shoot a time travel movie.. no matter what you do, it always gets messed up.

in Looper, i think they pretty much managed to keep the focus away from the time travel complications.. but it doesn't make the experienced viewer say "hang on" . But over all i have to say the concept is creative enough and does rise enough attention to keep you watching.

i would say the time sequence in the movie is flawed. it oddly jumps back and forth, making you feel as if its rushed and they just want go get done with certain parts. it jumps forth making you think that they will fill the gap with a nice surprise, but it doesn't happen. it just flashes back and you ask "what just happened?"

it is worth a watch, but its nothing like "source code" or "limitless" or not even "Surrogates" there unfortunately isn't any decent element of surprise.. and majority of the plot is pretty much predictable.

i don't want to go into details.. overall the movie didn't impress me in any particular way at all.

its neither a success nor a shame. worth a couple bucks to see on screen. i would have given this a 6, but seeing how crappy movies rated here, i think it deserves a 7

Dredd
(2012)

Not bad but could be Way better!!
good movie, and surely entertaining to an extend. but i would expect better from 50 mil budget, especially where very little of that money goes to stars, and it is mainly shot in confined spaces with loads of computer work. action scenes lack creativity and satisfaction. the kick is mostly focused on guns, lots of guns mentality. the movie gave me a sort of "computer game" feeling which seems inspired from "The Gamer". Locked tower sort of environment feels like inspired from recent and very nice Indonesian movie called "The Raid" which would have been rated much better if was shot in Hollywood with English speaking actors. The main character feels and acts like "Robo Cop" is back. there is nothing really unique about the movie.. its like little bit of this and little bit of that put together, and that makes it boring rather than a chair grabbing, continuous action that makes you wolf down your popcorn

when will you guys learn to invest those millions in new ideas rather than sitting and writing something based on statistics of what we liked in what movie and patching it all up with lights, flashes and expensive effects..

i do have criticism about the scenario.. but in the end its a mindless "shoot, blow, blood and smoke" movie.. but still here is a few

1. the way the bad guys take control over the place is stupid and too easy

2. why doesn't Dredd reload his gun from the first and second judge he takes down..

3. wall, armor, concrete, steel anything piercing railguns sweep thru a floor, but our guy gets away going all directions thru the corridors.

4. the initial Judges take the call and come to the building,

do nothing, report nothing, while things blast blow and explode around they wait like idiots at the door, .. odd !

5. when the last dirty Judge shoots Dredd thru meter thick concrete wall with magical armor piercing bullets, Dredd survives, and after a quick patch up he acts and moves as normal. the thing is, lets assume a small gun could shoot that sort of bullet thru solid concrete, whatever behind that would literally take a massive hole, as the concrete pieces blasting out from the impact would magnify the damage drastically.. well .. not that i expect much reality in a scifi movie. just for the record

oh well.. overall not bad, lots of effects and all that.. don't expect wonders. if wasn't 3d i would say don't bother and wait for DVD.

The Expendables 2
(2012)

yes you did make them Expendable! what have you done !!!!!!
What have you done ???? i would have hoped to see Arnie and Chuck in a great movie in, acting respectable characters that suit to their image and legendary movie history... instead,, you brought them back, got us all excited, and then.... then.. nothing.. an empty feeling, where i couldn't be sure whether to love them or pity them... the first movie was OK, it wasn't great, but it wasn't average either. It was fun, had a couple nice surprises, and a bit of a sense of humor.

what you guys don't get is.. just because we liked a bit of hot spice yesterday.. doesn't mean we want to pick a large bottle of Tabasco and go bottoms up ...

Certain things are only nice when in moderation. in 1st movie it was good.. in this movie.. at most cases it wasn't funny anymore, it was ridiculous.. there is a very fine line between the two, and Hollywood usually doesn't get that.

I will never forget near ending, where everyone lined up shooting in slow motion... what a terrible terrible sight..

goodbye Arnie Goodbye Chuck

This wasn't how i wanted to see you guys probably the last time.
