The movie was funny, family friendly, and a good message. I'm not sure what people expected it to be who are all giving it such a bad review. LeBron isn't going to win an academy award but neither did Michael.
It's worth watching if you will just relax and let it be what it is. If you want to hate it you probably will. If you want to like it you probably will.

The first half was not funny at all in my opinion. He seemed almost like hew as faking being mad for the sake of the routine. Also the joke all seemed worn out. Kinda like the jokes you make with your family but you know every other family has also already made them. I stoped about 25 mins in I think because I was not enjoying it. Went back today to finish it because I like completing shows, and it was much better. Second half was funny and he seemed to easy up on the pseudo mad attitude. If the whole show was like the second half, I would have ranked it and 8.
I should start off this review with the fact that I a casual Harry Potter fan. I have read several of the books (but not all) and have seen all of the movies once or twice. With that in mind if you are a total HP fanboy/fangirl this review probably will not help you in the slightest.
I think what stood out to me most was that the writers seemed to forget to tell a story. It's actually pretty remarkable because some of the main characters were really impressive, likable, and well portrayed. That said you can't tell a story with out accessory characters and these characters ranged from confusing, underdeveloped or just plain underwhelming. It was like a story you are being told from your grandpa and its good enough to keep listening but you're not really sure how you ended up where you did by the end of it.
Continuing with this idea that they failed to tell a complete story, I feel they forgot to lay out the main story line and were to worried with the fun filled fluff. Don't get me wrong, it was some pretty good fluff, but when we got to the end of the movie it felt as if it came out of nowhere.
So overall I'm glad I saw it because there were a lot of really good moments but someone really needs to make sure if they do this again they nail down a plot worth watching.
