Resident Alien
(2021)

Season 1 & 2 8
Wow if there is a season 4 I'd be shocked. The charm and the comedy of the first season have been exhausted.

The story line of season three was all over the place, with over emphasis on the adoptions and parental relationships adoptions, and then alien baby returning as an angry little freak self replicating...self help alien groups....an Avion love story blackmailed by the "Grays".

The grays kidnapping pregnant women, the go nowhere end of the world recruitment job. The show with 2-3 lines of focus started branching out all over the place. Why would people care about Darcy's relationship story that ended last season? There are countless story lines that were shallow and moronic and threw in nonsensical filler.

3 Body Problem
(2024)

Zero Originality
Imagine all science fiction you have read , watched, or even "theoretical" physics.

Every Alien film, Supernatural film, Fantasy e.g. Tolkien with the ever Gazing "Eye...red...writhed in flame".

And take all the AI and technology that we have gotten lost into. Have a nihilistic philosophy, and mush it all together into a story, and the result will be 3 Body problem.

I define the three body problem basically whether it is ET, Alien, or Predator + 1984/NSA conspiracy genre/and Intellectual Narcissism+ any AI, Futuristic VR= 3 Body Problem.

It's frustrating that despite innovation in technology, robotics, and medicine that in terms of literature , entertainment, art, music we have been in stagnation for 40 years.

I have theories as to why, but that's not relevant to the mediocrity of the genre, the only difference in the genre is how well it is written, the effects, pacing and the story line.

Maybe the 18-35 demographic that never saw the original Twiligt Zone, read Asimov or Philip Dick, or the original Star treks, etc...but with few exceptions there is nothing new.

So in science fiction I won't criticize people giving this show a 7 and up, but it was watchable caught my interest for 5/8 but as every minute passed by, when I can predict the general dialogue or direction. It's a hack job. The story has no imagination it's flat.

Constellation

Psychological Thriller?
Not really a spoiler by episode 2 you know that the protagonist is either totally insane or another multiverse.

Being that the story is framed around something termed "CAL" some quantum physics insanity, and astronauts being given Lithium does not successfully disguise a "selective" multiverse storyline.

What irritated me most is that Henry did not attempt keeping someone by his side to observe what was randomly appearing on CAL.

It's clear from Henry/Bud that there are two worlds where there may or may not be gates e.g. Space isolated remote areas or directly by "CAL".

The show unsuccessfully tries to hide this from the viewer, making it psychological but though there are emotional mother daughter moments, it's not successful in hiding the "different versions" of people in the world as we know it across infinite universes. Frankly I have been sick of this tired Science Fiction nonsense, for 3 years now. I rather they continued with the AI, Time Travel, Robotic nonsense.

In terms therms of Henry/Bud despite discovered recordings of another multiverse astronaut describing the world as moving in an inverted sense there is no reason to believe that "Henry's" DNA strands would be inverted.

The Alice A & Alice B communication was also dragged out multiverse garbage.

It's trite, it's frustrating and irritating.

The show reminded me somewhat of 95% of the Netflix productions, where the viewer is reeled in by 50-75% of the season to either be let down with a huge nose dive, or left on a cliff followed by a cancellation.

It's unfortunate that these reviews have to have a 600 word minimum.

Watch season 1 only
Based on my research the comic series or webtoon etc... only covers the time in the apartment to their escape, with an ending of being in a military camp.

My research is primarily from Wikipedia and the show is loosely based on those events in the first season.

I didn't wish to ruin my experience of the show but by the end of the third episode in season two I simply couldn't watch it all. It's basically an entirely new show with a plethora of new characters with no background or development to them the few remaining characters from the first season are either dead or not a focal point, of the main plot which becomes focused on chaos and an autocratic military government and "civilian" morons most of whom totally new as I mentioned.

I'd personally stop watching by the end of one though it leaves on somewhat of a cliffhanger that basically crashes.

Season 2 the episodes are not only fragmented without character development they are 20-30 minutes longer than season 1.

I advise this for nearly all programs good or bad to watch in the native language (Korean) and the subtitles. The voice over acting I can only definitively say in English is horrible.

The Gentlemen
(2024)

Netflix puts out a Guy Ritchie Top Show
Great relationship litmus test. If you loved this as much as I did and gave this a 7-10 rating- you should know you will not be compatible with anyone giving this a 6 or under.

Ep 1-10 Ep 2- 7 Ep 3- 10 Ep 4- 10 Ep 5 - 10 Ep 6 - 8 Ep 7- 8 Ep 8- 9 72/8=Solid 9

As my headline states phenomenal. In the US and globally this show should be in the #10 spot in the US for 4-5 months. In my humble opinion this is the first time Netflix topped Lilyhammer since they engaged in original programming. The movie neck and neck with Snatch, with an expanded detailed scope. Outside Kill Bill Volumes, this could have been 3 volumes of great cinema.

Perfect blend of the bizarre, great twists, and phenomenal dark comedy. Like most times phenomenal dialogue in a Tarantino UK sense.

Like Scorcesse this is Guy Ritchie's Genre stick with a British cast and criminality.

I haven't been nabbed by a series with enthusiasm like this since the first three seasons of "The Sopranos".

From the moment they sat down to read the will, I loved the comedy, dialogue (albeit somewhat derivative from his films). The concept of creating a story from the point of view of the Heir Duke was a brilliant turn around from the film (where the estates were presented as more passive and content with the cash flow).

Opening the show with the captain at checkpoints in Syria also gave insight into the "Duke" and as a soldier to quote Tony Soprano "we're soldiers, a code, so I'm not going to hell".

The 'Functional' dysfunctional sibling relationship parallels were also brilliantly orchestrated. With Sussie & Bobby as well as Freddy & Edward.

The enemies of Dixon, Mercy, Maxi, & Degrote were utterly hysterical as was "Chucky".

I'm not doing spoilers but there are no weak scenes or episodes and it ends where if it's not renewed you'll be satisfied. Personally I think the story ended perfectly and a continuation would be very tricky to pull off.

Don't Look Up
(2021)

This movie was True & Hysterical
I have to come up with 600 words on a movie that poignantly and in darkest humor accurately portrays Western mentality in this absolutely screwed up Gen Z.

I know one can blames irresponsible media, technology, and brainwashed socialism.

That is exactly why critics slammed this film. This movie is totally reflective of the shallow emptiness, metaphorical blindness and social psychological impact of the highly destructive dysfunctional educational system, lack of basic family morality, and social media addiction in Western Civilization.

The film is actually truly tragic but likely the unfortunate likely the most real depiction of how today's society would react when faced with an apocalyptic event.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: Disgruntled
(2024)
Episode 4, Season 12

A three only because of Takahashi
1. Low ball Larry done in season 6 with no fly zone underwear 2. The golf basically the first Funkhouser appearance with the golf tip 3. Hitting Oscar wondering bear- not checking on the dog 4 Hitting the deaf guy not waiting basically Norm in season 4 combined with vow of Silence 5. Disgruntled list break rules for Larry hasn't been funny since using Hughe's indoor toilet in Crazy Nanny.

6. He's killed the great Black Swan episode utilizing Takahashi.

Again recycled check on the dog don't check on the dog, The blabbermouth incompetent therapist, the unprofessional therapist mixing social with personal, It's literally repetitive garbage.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: Fish Stuck
(2024)
Episode 5, Season 12

This entire season
Derivative repetitive crap 1. Ted Danson Pen- Seinfeld with the pen 2. Breaking up with Irma season Six Vivica Fox 3. Shonda Wagner episode with cliff Cobb 4. Ted Danson with the Blank Brick season 5 "Anonymous" 5. The Gay couple name crap season 4 with Mel Brooks Secretary 6. The "Deception" of Disney that's countless episodes 7. Using the same excuse not that funny, Season 6 episode 1 thought the party was tonight 8. Mantle Seinfeld with the name Seven.

I feel like this season I'm watching re-runs and half way through that's not going to change.

Every episode this season is literally recycled.

Domina
(2021)

Compared to ROME
If one recalls the limited series ROME , HBO which the first season dealt with Julius Caesar and his demise, and the second with the rise of Augustus and fall of Mark Anthony. With Historical Fiction, detail and excellent acting and character development. The scenery and set design was truly cinematic.

That being said The pace of this show , the first two episodes moves slowly, but crams in a long time period with tremendous gaps in the protagonists journey.

As the show quickens in pace, it does not allow for Character development, you know from the onset that the political dreams of "Domina" will not come true.

The "Republic" is never 'restored' the Republic before the Emperor/Caesar with a puppet "Senate" were as corrupt as the Roman Nobleman and the only difference was the First Consul became Emperor historically speaking.

The Roman Empire from that point, outside of its inability to conquer Parthia; was expansive and a behemoth until It was split with East and west with Constantine.

Now their are specific points in its long history that are interesting and would make great historical fiction, this show however feels rushed story wise, from her Marriage to Nero, the stay at Sicily, the absence of solidification by Augustus from Mark Anthony and Lipides and doesn't truly take a strong form.

The writers have aspired to focus on one character covering a myriad of events that cannot be told well at the current pace.

It's entertaining enough, but it lacks depth, and it lacks the ability to enjoy the viewers choice of nemesis and hero.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
(2009)

Story line some parts more humorous but basically the same as the first
This was an all around light fun action film with many humorous scenes especially every scene with his parents.

There is not any series in terms of blending Computer Generated Imagery, with film locations that has been done masterfully.

These are fun films for Generation Xers if they had the ability to do this between 1985-1995 I can't imagine any kid between 9-16 not loving these movies. They'd really have hated the over priced easy to break Transformer toy-line.

(Personally I had megaton based on the cartoon transformed into a Giant Desert Eagle 5 foot Caliber gun lol.

The main issue though is the action scenes are just too extensive, and can overwhelm the visual senses. I also found it to be relatively a repitition of the first.

Disney has that warning..but on an OLED quality 55-72' set the robot fight scenes can be overwhelming on the senses.

The films may have been accepted or reviewed better had they been cut down to 130 minutes max plus credits..

But if something can rake in over a billion on a 250 million budget before BLU-Ray and merchandising it will be made.

Like anything else movies especially in this genre aren't made to win Oscars but to bring in big bucks.

In terms of sequel overkill.... I find Starwars to be more embarrassing as mentioned. The prequels were a nightmare, and JJ plagiarized the first three...Ray is the Emperors Grandaughter...Luke is Vader's son. Mark Hamill was young and mopey now old and grouchy. A Death Star and Star base 1 at least they didn't make a second star base just Imperial Cruiser planet killers. Embarrassing.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
(2017)

Critics were harsh and Moronic 7.5.
Like the Coen Brothers and Scorsese I lhave a love hate relationship.

Maybe it has to do with the fact I'm inclined to think independently. I'm a registered voter I agreed with Democrats on some issues and Republicans on others.

I mention this because since the 2000 election and more so after 9/11 and the advent of social media I've seen this country nose dive in terms of morality, and open hedonism vs closed hedonism.

People manipulate statistics etc... for agendas.

There are Guy Ritchie films I love and ones I hate based on two factors: 1. Movies can have some sort of message but their primary purpose is to entertain.

If your an academic and studied Celt & Anglo Saxon mythology and legend- "This movie distorts blah blah" My answer to that pompous intellectualism, is that mythology is a way of elevating what's basically fictional.

Such academics should know that the first documented Arthurian legend was 7-900 years later.

2. The young Tech dorks complaining about CGI... The film completed in 20215 was moved up and down by Warner brothers that they're fools. It was clearly intended to be watched in a 3-D IMAX format.

The dialogue is witty, with a level of sarcastic comedy. The cast of many unknowns came together quite well.

And it was a fresh twist on the King Arthur legend.

The action scenes were typical Guy Ritchiebas established in Snatch, made popular in the Sherlock Holmes 2 part films with the slow motion fast shifts.

The boxing scenes in Snatch, the knuckle boxing inn Sherlock Holmes, the modern munition factory escape scene in Holmes and the sword scenes here. Which I imagine on a HUGE SCREEN in 3-D looked great.

The paranoid power hungry Jude Law plays the heavy quite well.& Hunan is quite the underrated actor and should be a star after Sons of Anarchy. His performance in "The Gentleman" also great.

Personally I put this with Snatch, Rick N' Rolla, The Gentleman and I think the problem with Wrath of man was lost on an America Cast so the dry humor was lost. Those and his take on Holmes are my favorite films he wrote and directed.

In terms of the others including the bond like attempt of his most recent film Opration Fortune were avg to bad.

Killers of the Flower Moon

Marty White Man Robber go back to Italy
The one thing we all learned way before DEI is how the white man screwed the Indian.

Jarmush "Dead Man" One of the Top Ten Oscar Best Picture Awards Snore Fests Dances With Wolves.

Why not a movie just promoting Socialism Why not a movie about White immigrants and Chinese building the railroads for slave wages How about Coal Barons setting up coal towns paying miners with the Company currency to be spent in the Coal Barons own stores.

Or Business owners in general treating White immigrants like garbage and killing them when there were whispers of unionizing.

How about a. Biopic on Mussolini....everyone is focused on Hitler & Stalin... What about the Christian conquest of Southern Spain... The country evolved there's learning history and manipulating emotion...like we are responsible for the sins of American Capitalism.

Season 1 clever
The one brilliant thing here, Is the exacerbation of affluent poor promoting socialism.

The Show is a handful of millionaires dominating this world and the non existent afterlife...which is basically continuing your life..... Where you had to have so much money before you died if you wish to continue your eternity.

It's so cartoonish and ridiculous but it is the adult version of the smurfs minus the global antisemitism.

People alive falling in love with dead Avatars...spoiled entitled Karyn characters.etc.

It's actually ridiculous not humorous but good enough to be a time killer.

Then bringing dead back to life in clones... Kind of a rip off of the venture brothers.

Oppenheimer
(2023)

In terms of Non -Ganster or Celebrity Biopics
This was historically accurate, though long by the 80 minute mark you are sucked in.

If you know WWII history well, There are a few large and small characters to look up.

I steamed the film I'm sure the visuals were stunning. You must at least know Strauss's background until he was the head of the Atomic Energy commission. After that wait for the film.

I've read moronic statements not displaying Hiroshima...that wasn't what the film's objective. Which was Oppenheimers live, his brilliance a bit of social Naivety and he wasn't out of control but he did not pick women well. And he assumed the best of people.

He carried guilt for years that's speculation. But based on Brittanica and segments of his kangaroo Court.

Truman decided to do that...with the ongoing carpet bombing the US government killed a lot more civilians from a decimated country just to attain an unconditional surrender.

There are psychological components that Nolan would associate just with the way he conducted himself.

Taking away Gangster Biopics.

Entertainment wise not as Good as The Aviator, Catch Me if you can, or what I feel the best Biopic ever SERPICO.

A Beautiful Mind people can argue, The insider as well I can see some liking better. And possibly Braveheart which technically is not a Biopic because historians argue.

Again I'm leaving out Athletes, Singers etc.

Very informative I'd highly recommend it to be watched in HS.

The first 75 minutes I thought I'd continue another time but then it got intense.

Loki
(2021)

Finally...Season One 9: Season Two -Clock AI Suicide....
Mandalorian was OK...some excessive episodes that could have been replaced with 2-3 Boba Fet episodes. Didn't care for Wanda Vision practically every Disney/Marvel/Star Wars.... Have been awful literally.

Let me revise that She-Hulk was humorous entertaining not mind blowing but worthwhile.

The Obi Wan made up for those three horrible prequel films in my humble opinion very well done.

Season 1 FINALLY this show has me hooked. If it jumps the shark and ends up getting ridiculous and cheesy I'll change my rating. Dialogue A +, action A, Casting A+... Dr Who+ Lokis+ Time travel so far the writers for this series deserve a raise.

**** After 1.5 seasons I'm maintaining the 9 but if this ends in another cliffhanger I want season 3 in 6 months.

With streaming/TV today to find just neutral funny / "dark"/ sci-fi Dramedy they are hardc to find.

I never thought I'd say this this is the first truly praiseworthy original series put out by Disney since taking over Marvel.

Season 2 Hack and "The AI debate" I'm wondering with SAG if this season was written by GP4.

The Righteous Gemstones
(2019)

Never got the McBride Love
I find McBride humor in his two previous HBO gifts Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals very much like this a cross of Wit and Potty comedy that goes one of two ways.. An incessant recycling of the same bits and jokes ergo they stop being funny.

Then in Eastbound and in the most recent there's a poor attempt at Dramdy an old incessant repetitive sibling rivalry where the insults are the same, there's literally minimal character growth.

In summation Mr McBride is more fit for SNL skits than long term sitcoms.

Despite Goodman, there is too much filler with minimally helpful entire episodes dedicated to poorly made flashbacks. However if the "Joke" is religion or Evangelism is capitalism 1. Everyone knows 2. It's funny for 2-3 episodes not seasons.

Since Curb and the Sopranos HBO is not TV it's something worse.

Asteroid City
(2023)

A movie about fictional preparation for a lame fictional story
Unlike most Wes fans I feel his three tied for best work were The Royal Tenenbaum's, The Grand Budapest Hotel & The Isle of Dogs.

I despised the French Dispatch (I hate the New Yorker so why would I find this film good on any level?) & The Darjeeling Limited - I found those features not just a let down as a fan- but overall both bad films outside the World of Wes.

I wa about to turn it off and give up at the 45 minute mark. I then began to appreciate it by realizing there are two satires going on.

(If one plays very close attention to Bryan Cranston's opening paragraph that's not the mystery). In Mr West's darker and funnier films the flat deadpan dialogue and the majority of characters speaking in a monotone fashion so the real audience is aware it's fictional like a live play.... and it's a well told dark comedy or not. I believe one can understand my trouble distinguishing what was part of the play vs the preparation for the play.

Normally if it's feeling bad after 20 minutes I give up.

Here it wasn't a matter of bad but "What's Wes trying to do here"?

1. As many critics point out some of the "players" in the production are reflections of real 1950s Actors. I say that in terms of their "performance" in 'Asteroid City'. E. G. Charolette Johansen's character of Midge Campbell is a performance of a Marilyn Monroe/Ava Gardner. The black and white Johansen we know little about and aren't told her name.

2. From the black and white "rumor" about her taking off and almost quitting... Appears bizarre because her character has become her, or she her current and past characters (something that became highly noticeable by those who worked with her before and after Method acting- see Billy Wilder's comments on the 7 year itch vs Some Like it Hot).

Now this appears to happen with most of those cast becoming lost in their "character".... This is the long running joke of this film I believe. The production of "Asteroid City" is a ridiculously bad stage performance especially for the time period.

It's in a sense a Dramedy of a "Twilight Zone" filming. Instead of Rod Serling narrating an actual science fiction story with an ironic twist; We have Bryan Cranston narrating a dramatization of the behind the scenes production of a cheesy parody of 1950s Sci-fi.

So there is the parody of the shift in acting methodology that had (and still has) created a "split" in the way actors prepare for a part e.g. "Becoming the character to become more convincing".

A. This becomes a parody both in the production most obviously with 'Midge Campbell' and in black and white with Adrian Brody playing "Schubert Green" (A parody of Kazan- Steenback Schwartzman's Character name an Easter Egg on Steinbeck author of "East of Eden" one of the three James Deen films directed by Kazan. Dressing like Marlon Brando in a Streetcar Named desire-Tennessee Williams play turned film, collaborating with Steinbeck on 'Viva Zapata". Kazan also collaborated with Williams on another film.

Kazan also collaborated with Miller (One of Marylin's post DiMaggio spouses). Even Green's of set scene with his spouse was a reference to "his wife leaving him for a second baseman".

B. Ed Norton playing a parody of Tenessee Williams "Conrad Earp". Schwartzman a new comer with his final fleeing backstage in a panic only to talk out a cut scene he had with Margot Robbie that was bizarrely very close to scenes on set with Midge Campbell aka Scarlett Johansen. It's even comical at the end of there off stage rehearsal Margot Robbie's voice goes back to a natural Brooklyn accent.

C. Within "Asteroid City" there is mockery or parody of method acting with the "Augie Midge" casual dialogues that have absolutely nothing to do with anything Science Fiction or the "Alien" or the science competition of the children. Their developing onscreen relationship is a story within the framework of the Science Fiction component.

D. Initially outside of random lines referencing the circumstances they are in one can drift off and ask "Are Schwartzman & Johansen on break flirting or are their irrelevant interactions part of 'Asteroid City'. This component I believe is a weakness in this film and somewhat distracting to the ridiculous events on set.

1. Presenting misleading trailers and advertisements also made it difficult grasping the pacing and storylines.

2. Watching it it's as if Wes assumes his fans will know what he's doing- bad assumption. He also doesn't appear to have any hope or aspiration to expand his audience.

Overall I was satisfied but the first half was somewhat frustrating and irritating to me.

Wynonna Earp
(2016)

After the first season.Real rating 2.6
I never saw a show just continue to nose dive and nose dive....and make me question who at Universal hired whoever is in charge of programming that kept renewing this.

By the middle of season 2 it just turns into some LGBQT /Chick adolescent ADHD drama.

Then in the third season, the entire battle against the protagonist made no sense at all nor the end result. Even if the show is attempting to mock the biblical, it's no effective at that either.

Poorly written... the lead who thinks "she's all that" is far from it... All interesting characters from season 1.. or ones that entered later simply disappeared.

The satire wasn't satire, the campiness wasn't campy, and simply the fourth season was just pointless chaos.

1 good season out of 4 2.5/19.

The Venture Bros.: Handsome Ransom
(2009)
Episode 2, Season 4

4 massive expansion not as neat as the early seasons
I appreciated the simplicity of seasons 1-3. I'd give nearly every episode a 9.

Episodes like this are hysterical keeping it micro focused on the Venture family with the monarch and surviving without Blind Rage Sampson (Sampson say no more...oh speedy and so close to getting his wings).

Brisby land, Underland the yard sale... the Dr Orpheus premiere pure gold.

OSI and the guild were very much an expansion pending renewal by Adult swim.

It gave interesting character insight in season 3 The Council, Phantom Limb & Quizboy going back to the double date of Hank and Dean "Oh the great Villain Phantom Limb wearing granny glasses and selling me insurance" Introduction of "The Master"... But the show split it focus by 4 between classic venture comedy this episode definitively being best of all of them and the Sphinx /OSI/Guild Nonsense.

The "Arching Business" at times spinning out of control.

And people unhappy with the movie.. what better reason to obsessively hate someone other that there can only be one "Rusty" Rusty with a splice of baboon for hair loss. Gave him some muscle tone.

It's comedy and entertaining but glaring issues arise in continuity, geography (e.g) if Team Venture was Split bt the compound & Spider Skull.. and it's safe to say that's Pacific & Mountain zones... how is blue Morpho hanging with Jonas in Colorado Springs out of Newark.

There are some moments that stick out such as Monstrosos operation, and The Revenge society...the two heads classic never gets old.

Black Adam
(2022)

For the Superhero Genre
The last high quality DC well known hero movies that were phenomenal was the Batman Trilogy. The last quality entertaining superhero film I saw was made in 2017 Ragnarok. And I had incredibly low expectations when it had a PG-13 rating especially after the Justice is Grey garbage, WW84 garbage, and much of mainstream DC hero garbage.

However for 6-15 I thought Shazam 1 was good for children and parents, he's the pre-Shazam error. I'll give it a shot.

Dr fate not very mainstream , Hawk-man DC has changed so frequently I wasn't sure if he'd be a literal hawk man or costume. I've only been familiar with the human Atom shrinking not growing, don't know anything about the X-men storm rip off.

So that from the start had me wondering it's not the suicide squad what does Waller have to do with this? The original JSA had Aqua-man and Green Lantern... But aside from there never having been a depiction of Fate (is Strange a rip off- are his powers from the helmet different) The JSA needed a movie before tackling this movie.

I don't know why but outside recent DC CGI nightmares, the effects, lighting and action sequences were done very well.

Overall a fine non-political oriented superhero family friendly film.

However that would be true if it ended 30 minute earlier. The return of Saddac was pointless and didn't add much, if anything it lowered it from a 7.5 to a borderline 6.

The Flash
(2023)

Terrible Hack Job
I'm beginning to want to start a movement that heavy CGI / reality mixed primarily 3-D IMAX films stay in that venue not to be released ripping off home viewers. Even top of the line 75 Dolby, the first thing that slaps the unfortunate soul watching this "film" is that even cleaned up 99% of this was supposed to be 3-D. And compared to other Marvel films, or Sonic it looked horrible.

Now for the story: outside of few minor changes to avoid straight up plagiarism from other time travel, films cartoons or shows but it hacked itself in two areas.

1. The Flash Paradox originally comic form DC animation turned it into a film.

2. 2/3 seasons of the Flash on WB TV Barry messes up time multiple times via the speed force 3. Lego Flash made a great parody of the speed force.

4. One can suspend reality only so much when it's not comedic. If it could be done theoretically one would forever either change all events that occurred from around 2003 till 2023 in this film have been altered entirely. However that would not explain the 1989-1997 Batman films utilizing Keaton and Clooney.

Alternative #2 Flash traveled to "past" in his mind but simultaneously with his original timeline. #3 (along with TENET time travel loops). Barry is lost and branching out new timelines constantly.

Regardless ZERO originality. ZERO Nemesis. ZERO save the city/world. IF ONE IS A FLASH FAN THIS IS PURE REDUNDENCY.

Outside of the Nolan Batman Trilogy, Superman 1 1979, and Wonder Woman DC hasn't put out a decent mainstream superhero Movie ever. Aquaman is descent in Black & White.

But not just DC many films primarily designed for IMAX 3-D shouldn't be released for home viewing. The home viewing technology isn't there yet. E.g. Would John Wick 4 be better to me than 2 or 3, possibly if I had seen it in a theater. That's a film that simply has breathtaking views. Many 3-D for home viewing are simply incredibly dark- and look like "Winter is Coming" season 9 game of thrones.

I wasn't expecting much from it, but I wasn't expecting terrible. Like "The Batman" despite low expectations they manage to put out even lower.

The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart
(2023)

Pointless but welcomed
Huge fan of the series, the humor is even better for an intelligent audience.

When Ventura/Vendata plugs in and we see how much more unethical Jonas Sr was, it was clear that 1. Mrs Morpho gave birth. 2. She was either artificially inseminated or seduced by Jonas and Malcolm /Monarch was his half brother.

So the end of this film....if The Monarch was a clone of Rusty it's funny...but if they're both cloned how can you explain Jonas Venture "JJ" Jr... If Rusty ate him in a Tank, where is Monarch Jr?

I've read posts based on Dean's second visit to Ben meeting an original intended helper...that the robot believed he was Rusty and ergo a clone. I see this as a general continuity error.

This is problematic and hard to ignore, because the only way JJ aka Jonas Jr. Could exist is if he and rusty shared a womb.

Even in the animated universe, it would be difficult to explain how "Rusty" may have been cloned.

We know that Malcom and Thaddeus played together.

So maybe Dr Jonas had a few prepared Rusty Slugs. One with spliced in baboon to counter boldness and I assume provide some height, and given over the Blue Morpho to raise as an adoptee.

I assume based on the closure it's implied that Deborah's eggs were used....which again implies the Venture brothers being manufactured and not conceived. Regardless fan focus on the mother of the brothers or the Monarch obsession cause takes away from the general satire of the comic world.

I'm assuming that a bulk of the 17 pair of Hank and Deans (You can count 13 flashbacks during the countdown season 2 episode 1. The season 1 pair, the pair killed by Sunny & Groovy, & the pair found inside a shrunken submarine). Died repeatedly at 15 and took 3-4 months to cook up and reload. This grooves with the year on their burnt IDs, & Myra saying 19 years ago. It also explains why Killinger would try to reunite them lol.

I felt like the 85 minutes was crammed in as opposed to making a more coherent continuity story with one more season of 7-10 episodes. There were no Brock Rages, the mockery of the Justice League/Avengers was absent. Professor Impossible....etc.

In terms of my favorite two headed villain, and other great characters....it was a Hank maturity story....and tons of past references.

"All this & Gargantua 2" as well as the two part battle of Cremation Creek, or the three part beginning to season 7 were all significantly better than this film.

Eternals
(2021)

Time to phase out
New generations need reboots or something new... but not some profound philosophical 3 hour garbage film.

I can't fathom any child between 6-16 enjoying this movie.

The only redeeming factor was the comedic relief of Bollywood.

The perpetual cycle of destruction for creation over and over again.

The only Deviants in term of this garbage are the producers and critics who enjoyed this.

There was nothing entertaining or emotionally satisfying in this film. If Films either are escapism or inner contemplation, or suspense this film accomplished none of those purposes.

Terrible terrible plain terrible films & TV in a plethora of Disney owned MCU.

M3GAN
(2022)

Definitely Hysterical... but
There was absolutely nothing scary to anyone over 10 in this movie.

However before watching it you know that the movie is simply the AI version of "Child's Play" so I assume there will be up to 5 Me3gan films to come.

The base sale of the story line was what was demented a brilliant robot researcher doing her job and irresponsibly appointing an AI tool to care for her highly disturbed orphaned niece.

I'd still pick Chucky over M3GAN because Chuck had personality lol. A demonic possessed toy possessed by a Serial Killer is more interesting than an AI robot evolving to Terminator. The idea has been overkill in TV and film since the Twilight Zone, episodes of Star Trek, and variations like the Matrix.

At the end, I was disappointed with not simply hosing the doll down.

The Venture Bros.
(2003)

Seasons 3-6 9/10: season 7 deserved cancellation
Bottom line the story took a huge detour when there was solid continuity between seasons 2-6.

Season 7 was a dive after the first three episodes ending the Morpho Vendata and the humor of Dougon's star fish DNA lol.

In general the humor can be sophisticated, with obscure obvious film and comic mockery.

Molotov Cockteases chastity panties, is drawn from Woody Allen's "everything you wanted to know but we're afraid to ask".

The OSI headquarter ship is straight out of Avengers and Nick Fury.

Captain Sunshine was a predominant Superman type...Boy Scout The season 4 opening cloning machines with Nazis, Orpheus playing out the end of Raiders.

21 pre "Chubs" is a great commentary on the collector dorks paying 500K for a mint comic book...(in general stamps, baseball cards, star war figures etc...is based on the "Fan'atic" supply vs demand.

The Scooby Doo 30 year later episode just slaughtered the original cartoon.

Season 7 episode 9 the Goodfella narrative Multiple Highlander from St Cloud to later on with the jumpsuit.

Teddy Talk To me- Teddy Ruxpin Gargantua One elements of 2001 Space Odyssey, Brisby early and Jonas at least before being dropped by team Venture- both mockeries of Walt Disney the original.

The medical message after Deans testes twisted.

The Chinatown "He's your father She's your mother" Sphinx commander Cobra Commander lol.

The Manchurian Candidate confusion for the suspended soul of Lincoln The Antman/The Atom parody, with Mother playing "War Games" JJ Ventronic-Voltron When Hatred runs out of meds the movie is very much sounding like Lord of the Rings Venturestein "Brock Bad" The tribute to 40s and 50s Noire with Hank's hat Season Six is simply a mockery of costume heroes like Wonder Woman with her invisible chariot, captain America, the green arrow shooting feet lol, and Blue Morpho clearly a Green Hornet tribute.

I was only wondering in 7 when the council gets there last arch and Red Mantle and Dragoon are just "too old for this beep"... There was the Zero Kidnapping with Desmond as the original captain Sunshine...so being Draggoon arched him in the 60s...I guess Desmond died.
