The Batman
(2022)

Brooding Twilight Actor now Batman
Transfers the Brooding twilight acting to Batman. I think I need to be a high school kid to appreciate this version of batman. A little too corny and melodramatic. Hard to watch. I'm not sure how this movie got a high rating. You sure you don't want the Russians to see this? Make them suffer too.

Tenet
(2020)

This story could have been told a lot better
I really wanted to like this movie. It seemed like it had great potential but it seemed very choppy and confusing. After it was finished I was considering watching it again to fully understand it but it wasn't worth the time.

I'm glad I watched it with friends who thought the same as I did so I know I'm not the only one who felt this way.

Call Me Kat
(2021)

Awful-Tries too hard - alot of over-acting
The whole thing looked like a satire on SNL. I don't think it will last long especially on a Thursday opposite Young Sheldon. I thought Mayim Bialik was a a better actress than this. When I see Swoozie Kurtz in a series I know it's a series not worth watching. People who liked it must be working on the production crew.

Hard Kill
(2020)

Worst Acting and Script
I know people don't watch these type of movies for the acting but for the action but there was not much action and where there was it seemed to just be thrown in. Bruce Willis seemed to be doing a cameo in the movie. How low is his career to be in this film. It looked like grampa being wheeled from scene to scene. Usually action scenes cover the sins of a Bruce Willis movie but this was nonredeemable..

Adventures of Rufus: The Fantastic Pet
(2020)

Would have been a better movie if it had much better actors
It was hard to watch with these actors. The story seemed like it should have been better with much better actors.

Lewis & Clark
(1981)

Laugh Track mania
All I remember about this show was the laugh-track after every line of dialog.

It was insane.

I could not watch the show after the 1st 10 minutes.

I thought it was a satire on the use of a laugh-track.

For example: Dialog - Hello How are you? (Loud Laugh-track) Dialog - I'm Fine (Loud Laugh-track) I think they purposely wanted to get the show off the air.

Gabrial Kaplan did not look very comfortable in that show. He seemed out of his element.

Transmorphers
(2007)

Worst Acting Ever
Now we all know where the out-of-work porn stars went. You could tell they barely knew their cue to speak. (Oh it's my turn to speak)

It looked like their idea of acting was "Who could curse the loudest or most dramatically".

This movie was so bad it wasn't even worth a Razzie award.

I'm sure anyone associated with this work would love their names crossed out of the credits.

There must have been an actor strike going on during this movie because there didn't seem to be one in the cast.

Good thing this was just a rental. I would hate to have spent money to own this DVD.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
(2007)

Seeing 1982 version raised the bar too high.
I saw Sweeney Todd at the Wadsworth Theatre yesterday.

The scenery, special effects, music and mood of the movie were great.

It would have been a lot better if the 2 main characters (Johnny Depp & Helena Bonham Carter) could sing. Some of the supporting cast sang very well. The actor that played toby (Ed Sanders) & Anthony Hope (Jamie Campbell Bower) sang exceptionally well. They should have dubbed Depp. He sang the words but not much emotion behind it.

A few of the songs were cut but it was from Judge Turpin (Alan Rickman) & Beadle Bamford (Timothy Spall) who couldn't sing well anyway so it probably helped the movie.

There was no chorus singing in the background or the ballad about Sweeney Todd, in the movie maybe it will be on the DVD version.

See the 1982 Angela Lansbury & George Hearn version for the songs and the 2007 version for the special gory affects.

Snow Dogs
(2002)

Good Entertaining Movie for Family.
Movie was surprisingly good. There were funny action scenes no sex, profanity or vulgarity. I watched it with my family at home. With parents and brother and friends who were around 25yrs old and niece 10yrs old and they liked it.

I gave this movie 8 out of 10. I liked Cuba Goodings reactions even if they were a little over done, they were funny.

I was surprised it was in fullscreen format (1:33 ratio) but I rather see this movie than live thru the awful HOSTEL movie.

It was good to see James Colburn in a movie again. The Dog facial animation was kinda cool. It was done well where it didn't look too cartoonish.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
(1982)

Best Stage Play Ever
George Hearn really went all out and over the top which in this case was great. I've heard the Len Cariou version but it was too tame. George was great in that character - very expressive.

Angela Lansbury was perfect for the part. She gave a great performance. She gave the Mrs. Lovett a great devious and comical personality which balanced out the dark story.

I love the dark humor when Angela Lansbury sings her songs as well as her physical expressions and the angry emotions of George Hearn in his songs of rage, vengeance and distress.

I've watched this play 20 times since 1985 when I saw it on PBS. I bought it on video (after copying it in 1985 on my own)when it came out in 1990 and I definitely bought a copy of the DVD when it came out in 2004.

Hostel
(2005)

Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This should have close to an "X" rating. Gratuitous Sex and violence. It is like a teen slasher movie with the actors just a few years older.

Good thing I didn't pay for this movie I would have asked for my money back.

What actors do for money is ridiculous.

Disemboweling, beheading, limb-cutting, eye gouging, body fluids spilling all over. What idiot thinks up this stuff? Did they find a 13 year old to write this after watching the Evil Dead? My friend and I called up other people immediately to tell them to forget this movie. It was so bad we had to do it right away after walking out of the theatre.
