NCIS: Hawai'i: The Game
(2022)
Episode 11, Season 1

Storyline barely passable, script terrible.
There was potential for a story here but the script was substandard to the point that it could have been written by someone in high school.

Also, after all the effort of building the story arc of the relationship between Tara and Whistler, why destroy it in such a pathetic manner. Really old girlfriend comes to town and answers the door when Tara visits. FFS this is so old school and ridiculous. Get a grip!

Tara then going undercover as the daughter of a rich Texan! Of all the possibilities you chose the most pathetic.

Very disappointing. Please don't slide down slippery slope into dumbed down programming.

Fargo
(2014)

Season 1 and 2 are excellent, Season 3 WTAF
Loved S1 and S2; weird, out there, twisted, crazy, intelligent story telling in a Fargo kind of way, with characters one is emotionally drawn to, one understands or think they are freaking mad as rats and violent to boot, with dark humour - an essential ingredient.

Season 3 - hells bells and firewater, what happened! The writing is atrocious, the plot lines twist and turn, going almost nowhere. I made it to episode 5 and could go no further, I only got that far as I had hope of something, something that would make it worth watching. There was nothing, had to take a shower just to wash the filth, ridiculousness and stupidity away.

Such a wonderful cast, wasted with writing that may have come from some person in a psychiatric ward on so much medication that their brain is barely capable of functioning. Puking on television seems to be on the uptake, why, it is horrible. I understand there are moments when it happens but seriously, over the top doesn't come close in season 3.

I could go on but I have more important things to do.

Sorjonen
(2016)

Season 1 - Excellent, Season 2 - Annoying Plot Lines
Watching Season 1 of this Finnish detective series was a wonderful breath of fresh air. Intelligent and progressive characters, story lines, cinematography and script; what a pleasure.

Season 2 however is quite disappointing, the teenage daughters of two of the main detectives are involved in far too many hectic violent cases, even though they had had already been involved in traumatic violent cases in the first series. This is far too unrealistic, unlikely and unnecessary. In addition, although the two detectives move heaven and earth to save their children, the teenage daughters demonstrate no gratitude or love, only anger, and become extremely frustrating to watch. Is this a crime/police series or a teen drama. I can only wonder what happened to the intelligent and thoughtful story lines of the previous series.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: The Things We Have to Lose
(2020)
Episode 20, Season 21

Brilliant, pity about the director!
Emotional and complex story telling at its best, however some of the impact reduced by jerky camera movement through much of the episode, not usually a factor with Law and Order SVU, as directors always top notch.

Grey's Anatomy
(2005)

Baby Boom...
I love Grey's Anatomy, however Season 16 is disjointed with the key characters split over different locations. Then the predominant story line is women doctors being pregnant or having just had a baby, seriously! Specialist surgeons in the peak of their career accidentally falling pregnant...you can do better!!!
