Heaven & Hell: North & South, Book III
(1994)

Not AS good
My first thought watching this is that it was nowhere near as good as books one and two, but it wasn't the worst thing i have watched. The first episode was quite interesting, and the ending to that episode was really good. The only thing i didn't like was that it looked kind of... cheap. I hated the way the scenes were edited, and especially the painting effect used on the opening to each scene, because it was tedious and not so good. Overall though i thought it was okay, and may watch it again in the future. But if you want something exactly like the first 2 books, you might want to steer clear in order to avoid some disappointed, but if u are generally interested, take a look.

Fear
(1996)

Very suspenseful
I brought this film mainly because of it's stars (Alyssa Milano, Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg) but i have to say the story itself was very good. It's quite stereotypical (Guy meets girl and turns psycho) but not necessarily in a bad way. I think the story was well acted and filmed, although i thought Nicole's (Witherspoon) dad was a tad overprotective from the beginning. For me, the best parts of this movie were the ones starring Alyssa Milano as Margo, Nicole's slutty best friend. Even though i think you're supposed to emphasise with Nicole, i found i felt much more sympathy for Margo after what she goes through in the movie. The scene were David pulls her car over, throws her against the car and threatens her is my favourite scene in the movie. Overall i thoroughly enjoyed it; it was very suspenseful and Wahlberg played a convincing villain. I'd definitely recommend it as i was on the edge of my seat as the movie neared its climax.

The Perfect Wife
(2001)

The Perfect movie? Doubtful
Although this film wasn't too bad, i must admit that it was too predictable for my liking. The only actor i liked was Lesley-Anne Down, but her character was a little too bland and her outfits terrible. Still, without her in it i would not have watched it. Shannon Sturgess gives and okay performance, although i think Perry King could have been twenty times better. I think the directors attempts to create atmosphere fell slightly flat. If i could change on thing it would be that the ending of the movie is more eventful, have more action or emotion in it. Overall i;d give it a 5 as i didn't turn it off halfway through. The plot was mildly entertaining.

North and South
(1985)

Complex and Fabulous
Having just watched this with my mother (Who got it for Christmas) i was thrilled to find something different to the usual stuff i usually watch. All of the stories were detailed and you are able to feel strong emotion towards each character from the very beginning. Every storyline is followed through brilliantly, making you feel completely different things for every single character. The cast is amazing, my personal favourites being James Read and Lesley-Anne Down, as George Hazard and Madeline Fabray/LaMotte/Main. The whole thing is in depth and wonderful, making very compulsive viewing, i recommend it to almost everyone.

Scream
(1996)

What a Scream!
There's just something about this movie that makes me want to watch it again and again! I think it's a mix of the slick storyline, dark humour, clever cast and the great chemistry between the characters! Each character offers a vital and funny part to make this movie really work. The relationships between the characters is fantastic and each actor brings emotion yet dark comic humour to this movie. Neve Campbell is neat as main target Sidney, who brings just the right amount of emotion to the story. Rose McGowan brings dry humour and a fantastic supporting role. And Courteney Cox is brilliant as reporter Gale Weathers. The actors are cool and convincing and David Arquette rocks as quirky cop Dewey Riley. Whereas Skeet Ulrich carries off his character perfectly. Overall i just can't get enough of this Scream and suggest if you haven't seen it you all go out and buy it. One of my personal favourites, this movie carries a 10/10 for scares, humour and witty personality!
