Autumn in New York
(2000)

Worst ever
One of the worst pictures ever. By the end of the movie when she finally dies you wish she would have died in the first 5 min. of the movie. No chemistry between the two stars. Richard Gere always has the same stupid look on his face as he does in every film he is in. Winona should stick to her day job...shoplifting. These two are so dull on screen that all through the movie your just wishing Charlotte would go ahead and die and put us all out of our misery. The movie in itself is so predictable and has been done many times (ie: Love Story). Winona is just silly and Richard is just stupid. They are no Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan....

Network
(1976)

Coming True ??
I first saw this movie in 1976 when it came out. I actually thought it was kind of funny. At the end when the announcer says something like Howard Beale is the first one to be killed because of bad ratings. But maybe it wasn't so funny taking into consideration the reality programs that we have on T.V. today. I still do, however, enjoy this movie and watch it whenever it is shown on T.V. I wonder how far the T.V. Networks will actually go in the future? "Kill the son of a bitch" might not be so far off... I do think this movie was far ahead of its time..Great dialog and the way it was filmed... Had a documentary style to it. Better then most movies today. Seems to hold up even though it is almost 30 years old. They could make it today but would have to add computers... No computers on anyones desk... However did they do their work?

Carnival Story
(1954)

Just Plain Awful
A waste of time. The characters are all so unlikeable you really don't care if the writer kills them all off. Which is what he should have done. I was surprised that so many usually very talented actors were just plain awful. It was like they were just reading a script. No feeling... Just walking through it. Ms. Baxter, at times had an accent and at times did not have an accent. She was doing so much overacting as were the others that at times it had a comic effect. I am sure that this is not what the writer of this script had in mine. Don't bother or waste your time watching. I sat through the whole thing thinking it would get better...it didn't. Then the end was anti-climatic and really answered no questions at all. Read a good book instead

Revelations
(2005)

Awful
One of the worst movies ever. Very hard to understand. Most of the time I could not understand what Miss McElhone was saying. It was all kind of garbled as was the whole movie. The ending left everything up in the air. There really was no ending. Everyone involved in this fiasco should be totally embarrassed. I kept watching it every week hoping it was going to get better... it just got worse...Also most of the film was so dark it was, at times, hard to make out the scene. Also too many characters so it was really hard to follow what little story line there was. By the time the whole thing ended I was hoping the whole world would blow up just to put this movie out of its misery. As my summary says ... one word to describe... AWFUL .....

Beyond the Sea
(2004)

Loved the movie.
Loved the movie... Only had one problem. The girl playing Sandra Dee wasn't a convincing Sandra Dee. Not only did she not resemble her but her actions and speaking was nothing like Sandra Dee. On the other hand Kevin Spacey had Bobby Darin down perfect. Even his singing sounded identical. He did a great job... I loved the movie. It reminded me of the old movie musicals. Hope more movies are made like this one. Wake up Hollywood... This is what the older people want to see. Remember there are a lot of Baby Boomers out there. The songs were great and brought back lots of memories of my high school days. Kevin Spacey deserves an Oscar for this one.Am so sorry neither the movie or Kevin Spacey were chosen to be honored with an Oscar Nomination.
