Pink Floyd: The Wall
(1982)

The Perfect Blend
To me The Wall is a perfect blend of animation, dialog (which there was hardly any of but still deserves to be acknowledged), music, the beautiful and the ugly. Scenes like the opening scene of the hotel are simple, yet beautiful. This movie covers a lot of ground, from World War II, Pink's early life, Pink's life in his hotel, and his transformation into a fascist leader, all while using the music as the narrator. Just that this movie could show us so much and still be focused on the main story shows what a well made work of art this is. The movie does get a bit slow during the parts without any music though, but this isn't something that would stop me from watching it many more times.

Before I saw The Wall I was not too impressed with the album, but seeing the movie has definitely added a new dimension to the music.

Sealab 2021
(2000)

11 minutes of great entertainment
At first I couldn't believe that a 11 min. show could be so good, but now after watching many episodes of Sealab I've changed my mind. After I watched my first episode I thought it was too all over the place but now I've gotten used to it and it's easier to follow the story. My favorite character is Quinn because he is the most sane on board and he tries to keep the crew from going completely crazy, even though they usually do by the end of the episode. This is just an all-around good show that is going in a direction that I'm happy is being explored. One more thing though, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I can watch an 11 minute show and feel like they could have cut some parts out and made it a better episode.
