The Perfect Blend To me The Wall is a perfect blend of animation, dialog (which there was hardly any of but still deserves to be acknowledged), music, the beautiful and the ugly. Scenes like the opening scene of the hotel are simple, yet beautiful. This movie covers a lot of ground, from World War II, Pink's early life, Pink's life in his hotel, and his transformation into a fascist leader, all while using the music as the narrator. Just that this movie could show us so much and still be focused on the main story shows what a well made work of art this is. The movie does get a bit slow during the parts without any music though, but this isn't something that would stop me from watching it many more times.
Before I saw The Wall I was not too impressed with the album, but seeing the movie has definitely added a new dimension to the music.
