The Tony Hancock Special
(1972)

Poor Tony Deserved Better
It's a sad watch. But totally indispensable to own. Hancock was in bad shape while making this series. And it shows.

The script is very average and the actors are very average. Tony tries hard but he fails to repeat his past greatness.

I like seeing it in colour. And I love owning it. I'm not sure if it's available on DVD, I have it on wonderful VHS!

It was a great idea: Hancock Down Under, but it needed a much better script and a much less self conscious TH. All the other actors seemed to be just mediocre at best.

Do try and watch the early classics written by G&S they are indeed wonderful and TH is at his greatest.

A sad decline and a sad end. RIP Tony Hancock.

NEARLY A MASTERPIECE
Wow! What a great film. It's beautiful and interesting and action packed and very entertaining. It is wonderful. A well thought out film. Loved it! Maybe a different actor instead of CL might have lifted it to a higher place? But it's still great!

FANTASTIC FUN
A great new horror anthology! Saw it last night at a festival (and was lucky enough to meet the great Mick Garris and have a film signed)! Fabulous fun with wonderful gore effects. See it and enjoy!

DETONATER MEETS SAW
A great fun movie. I ate most of my nails watching it. A cool ending. And a cool cast. What more do ya want!

A little gem of a film
Go see it. A great little Irish film. No big budget. No special effects. But a truly great true to life story with heart. I loved it. It left me thinking and asking questions long after it was over. An important film.
