Not nearly as funny as radio show I went to see the movie in a theater which had no shortage of customers. Interestingly, I didn't see one time that more than 2 or 3 people were laughing. This is simply because this movie wasn't very funny. Sure one or two moments deserved a slight chuckle, but that was about it. It fell far short of the quality radio show that it was suppose to represent. The movie was constantly going from one scene to another which made it chaotic. This is especially true I'm sure for those not familiar with the radio program.
There were a couple positives that allowed me to make it to the end of the movie. The acting was actually very good. Meryl Streep and Woody Harrelson were especially outstanding. If you really like folk music, the music was fairly good. If you don't really like folk music, there is little chance you will like this movie. It doesn't offer much else.
