Japan is indeed situated between four tectonic plates and frequently experiences earthquakes.
This film appears to be a public safety warning but is more about how businesses can profit from having people being trained and prepared for earthquake disasters and the threats that come with it.
It also appears to be from an American point of view when you have products be pushed that are not used typically in Japanese society.
Having a workforce and production line setup for these events will help save lives but what is it really doing to help the people there on a daily basis?
How many training centers does Japan need and why more than four?
Seems like something that is needed is being twisted by companies that want to make more consumers out of people and profit matters more than lives that are saved.
My two cents. Admittedly I am not an Earthquake specialist nor in Japan.

I saw a movie that people who don't want to take the time to think would slam and be negative about it.
This is my second film I have watched from Roy Andersson and there is a magic to them so far that he brings along with cinematgrapher Gergely Pálos.
The director, writer, also acts in this one.
I do see a common thread about humanity, hope, community, and faith shared in the stories along with poking religion and medical systems as well.
Along with a touch of how we are all in the long run matter that will eventually become something new after our own deaths.
I don't understand the spiritual side he takes but I think the one vignitte about the priest's own beliefs might represent that as well.
I for one look forward to seeing more of his works and I have added both Roy Andersson and Gergely Pálos to my shortlist of works to follow.

Some people see the U. S. Flag and they think of the history behind it.
Some people see the U. S. Flag and they think of what they should be entitled to.
I like to think of the U. S. Flag as a beacon of hope and unity in democracy as a powerful testament to the ever-evolving vision of what the nation can achieve through collective effort and shared values. It's a symbol that can inspire a sense of purpose and direction towards a more united and democratic future.
Or to put it another way: The U. S. Flag indeed carries a multitude of meanings and symbolizes a rich tapestry of history and ideals. It's a reminder of the country's long journey and the diverse thoughts and beliefs of its people. Your perspective of the flag as a beacon of hope and unity in democracy is a powerful testament to the ever-evolving vision of what the nation can achieve through collective effort and shared values. It's a symbol that can inspire a sense of purpose and direction towards a more united and democratic future.
The documentary represented so many different viewpoints. I can't wait to have more people watch it.
