I've only had one tattoo in my life, which is an angel on my ankle. I got it in the pink district in Mexico with an ink that is said to be not available in the US. It's a beautiful blue that I often get compliments on. I've thought about getting other tattoos but haven't just had the time or motivation, I guess. But I found this to be an interesting show. The bad tattoos are
entertaining oand the cover-ups are very artistic. My only complaint is that there's just too much filler. We see too much of the two guys, who I can't tell if there are a couple or just friends, with virtually the same dialogue just over and over in each show and not enough of the actual tattoos are shown. It's like watching a cooking show where the host talks too much - much of it irrelevant - and finally the dish is complete but we see only a few seconds of it after all that invested time. I understand that it is something taught in the entertainment industry, that you want to just tease the viewer long enough to leave them wanting more. But there's a limit to what your audience will put up with. You need to, at some point, give them a full meal not just little nibbles.
I think it's about a 20 minute run time per episode without commercials, and you get two bad tattoos and two cover-ups in that one episode. But the fillers with showing a bunch of people on the Las Vegas strip and hearing the guys bantering back and forth takes up at least 15 minutes. We don't see any of the conceptualization or drawing prior to the cover-up although we do hear a lot about what brought the client to get such a bad tattoo.
So cool concept, interesting and entertaining to a point. I'd probably rather just flip through a before and after album.

You can't really go wrong with a Denzel film. This popped up on one of my streaming platforms (I would have found it long before now if Blockbuster were still around displaying everything at a glance instead of narrow focuses based on sponsorship - deep sigh). While the main plot leaves a lot to the imagination for most of the film (revealed much later) the action is pretty non-stop from start to finish with a great dynamic between the two leads. It's a surprising thrill ride with an interesting ending. Who are the good guys? Only the ending knows for sure.
It's so refreshing to see real car chases done by professional stuntmen, and the fight scenes intentionally felt authentic. A lot of attention to detail in this film.
I do have some gripes, like why was Matt able to kick the crap out of everyone easily until the least likely safehouse host in the farm house & why would he even turn his back on him for coffee and not turn around when the phone buzzed? I don't think Kinnaman I was a big star yet so it couldn't have been for that.
I'm sure there were many other such instances in this film but that stood out even more than Frost allowing Matt to walk him through the streets with just handcuffs.
But seriously, it's so well paced and well acted you don't really care.

This is my only experience with Cruise as Reacher and it left a lot to be desired. Many reviews say his first go was much better but since I'm not a Cruise fan, necessarily, and this was borderline boring I'll stick with the Amazon series. This is based on the 18th novel and the first film was based on the 9th novel hard to believe this story is the one chosen as the plot was not that interesting and was hampered rather than helped by the subplot of dragging a defiant teen around. While Danika played her heart out n the role, i can't fault the actress, but it just added nothing and tied the hands of what could have been an intense cat and mouse chase.
I didn't think Colbie was a very interesting character and Aldis was very underutilized. Cruise as Reacher seems too unrealistic and here they make him too vulnerable in the action scenes instead of just bad assing it. What's the point of having an invincible character if we're always worried he's not gonna make it this time? Cruise doesn't look young enough here for this role, either. I'm not saying aging actors should retire but he's just here because his name draws attention.
The plot was good but poorly realized with too many characters and too much predictability.
I'm sorry to say, I can't give a like to reviews that start off with a synopsis of the film and add needless info like actors & characters names. Give people credit and just tell us what you thought of the film.
