Very heartwarming and quaint representation of the era. A Classic! Needs to be seen over and over again, to appreciate the sentiments portrayed. A story about the generous, faithful, over-worked and under-paid country doctor, and his grateful patients throughout the glen. Enjoyed listening to the Scottish accents, and the stereo-typical cultural stubbornness in accepting or giving compliments. Enjoyed the scenery too.

Perhaps the first time I saw it, I may have thought it to be slow-moving, too. But for those of us who enjoy watching "classic movies", it's wonderful.

However, for a Lassie movie, the dog has a relatively small part to play, in comparison to what you see in the Lassie series over a decade later.

This is my favorite cartoon....and it wasn't when I was a kid. I probably enjoyed it even better than my daughter, because the humor appeals to adults of the "retro" generation. Actually spent a month designing and sewing my little girl a "Bobby" doll. Heard it's coming back in 2007!! WHO ARE THE OTHER VOICES??? Only the extras are listed on IMDb. Loved the mom's Upper Mid-western Scandinavian accent and phrases, where I have lived all my life....HOW TYPICAL (and no, we don't all sound that nasal). . And what episode was that with "Former Baby Brothers of America"? That's a classic they should play for all children, in prep for a new baby in the family. With all the full-length cartoon remakes out there, BOBBY'S WORLD SHOULD DEFINITELY PUT OUT A FULL-LENGTH MOVIE!!

Loved this rendition of Roger's & Hammerstein's "Cinderella". I have loved this story since I saw it as a very young girl in 1965. It was the first movie I actually cried at the end. So I looked forward to this re-make with great anticipation. And it was not a disappointment.

It's always delightful to see a famous cast. And I thought the choreography was fun, both at the dance and in the street scene. Just like every fairy tale should have.

In comparison to the 1965 version: The costumes were wonderful, colorful, and at times comical. And the music was beautiful....rich with lyrics, melodies and harmonies, as always with Rogers & Hammerstein. And the additional R&H songs were a welcome addition.

The multi-racial casting was good... with the exception of the king, queen and prince. Just blatantly obvious that something was wrong. Whoopi made a great queen, and Paolo Montalban was a very handsome prince and has a wonderful singing voice, and the king was obviously Caucasian. But this is the only thing I didn't like about the movie.

It was refreshing to see this re-make with better sets and special effects than one of my childhood's favorite memories.
