El-Asliyyin
(2017)

Symbolism is the key here
This movie is brilliant and it probably needs to be watched a couple of times and each time you will discover something new. I will admit I didn't get all of its intended meanings on the first time. It is amazing how Camera methods change across the story to give certain meanings. The music. Khaled el Sawi is wearing clothes for different job titles in Egypt, again to signify meaning to who he is in the story. The whole movie symbolizes the lives of Egyptian people and how a person is 'watched' in everyday life. Do they choose to fight for freedom or not? Is the question. Maybe other people might see different symbolization there but this is how I saw it.

Unfortunately this movie is not for everyone. It's too sad to see how people gave it a bad rating without even trying to understand the meaning behind it. Definitely under-rated.

Such a waste
I can't understand how the director made it look that bad while having such an amazing cast. I was so excited to see Isaad -for example- after a long time of being away but I was absolutely disappointed. All of the those actors had way way more potential. There is no attention to detail, no character development. I found the most dramatic scenes funny and sometimes illogical and hence meaningless. Not recommended.

Yom el-Din
(2018)

I cried a lot, laughed & felt this so much.
This is one of the most brilliant movies ever made, especially Egyptian ones. It is so realistic, depicts the real life of those who are underprivileged in Egypt along with the case of his illness which makes it very hard to survive. It felt like witnessing a real scene in life. As if I went on the road trip with them as a Camera person. I can't describe how much this movie touched me and how much it helped me clear out of my thoughts on how the world truly is. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED.

The One
(2021)

Brilliant idea...Ugly execution!!!
So yeah the idea is very good but I have no idea what I have just wasted my time watching. It is one of worst series I have ever seen and the ending was super frustrating and stupid. What's with the corrupt cop? and what's with James? I mean at certain points it seemed he felt super guilty but then he is all on board with Rebecca, character is not consistent at all? and what is with the deleted records on the phone??? It's 2021 and the series is about super advanced tech, do they have no clue you can retrieve deleted files? A newbie knows you can do that!!! And you don't even get a closure about the stories of each couple in the end, lots of plot holes, Mark received biopsy results but they don't even conclude what it was, you get a vibe that he has cancer but how did that affect the story? what happens to them? What happens with James and Yasmiin? I am just so disappointed and I don't recommend this series at all.
